I was just here not more than 10 minutes ago. The security guard would not let my friends and I inside for the simple fact that we had too big of smiles on our face. He told us that because we were already intoxicated,(i guess my one drink made me happy), that we were not allowed to enter the club.

5 stars for the comedy show & the club. 1 star for the bouncer up front — asked me very uncomfortable questions & commented inappropriate things. fellow Unilocalers, when you come to this club, enjoy the comedy and throw a dirty look at the fat bouncer upfront for me will ya. thanks!

Went there last night; the comedians were good, service was good. However there was a few obnoxious people in the audience that were disruptive; drunk talking; yelling; cursing. The comedians tried to make the best of it. Honestly it ruined our time. The staff never did one thing to tell these losers to be quiet or better yet ask them to leave, I’ll never go back because of that.

I came to Laughs Unlimited in Old Sacramento with a bunch of friends to see a few comedians perform. I had never been to a comedy show before(my cheap side is showing) so I didn’t really know what to expect. I was slightly nervous about the whole thing, but I can really say that I had a great time! The entrance part of the theater is really nice and spacious. They have a great large bar area where I ended up spending most of my time. Shocking. There is also a large area next to that with a lot of tables and chairs to sit and relax at and hangout either before or after the show. The bathrooms were kept clean and were adequate. The room for the actual show itself was large and had a lot of seats close together. I didn’t mind having a lot of seats packed in, but I thought they could have done better arranging them in rows, and adjusting the table to seat ratio because there didn’t seem to be enough tables for all the seats. The staff that I came in contact with(mainly the bartender and the girl at the door) were friendly and helpful and had a good attitude. There is a parking garage located right next to the entrance, so parking isn’t bad if you want to pay for it. I would definitely come back again to check out another show.

My first official review for the year! We were here on the first Tuesday of January, yes, for a particular reason. It was Open Mic Night! Larry, who tends the bar, told us about it during our YE. I know I bragged about how amazing he was, not only as your bartender, that guy’s got Jokes! So, if you’ve got what it takes, why not? What better way to find out if your funny? *Shane was our presenter, the intro for Open Mic Night. He started with a few jokes getting the crowd warmed up. Then from there, it was a great flow of comedians hitting us where it hurts! Our tickle spots! Some of our comedians were *David Lou joked about riding a Clydesdale instead of my pony(cause why would Genuine ride a pony?). *DJ Sandu… likes to play games at the airport like how far away from your luggage can you get. *Tommy Ball thinks that playing monopoly in jail is lame. Especially lame when you land on «Go to jail» Kyree Pazz– Hey man! We got the pleasure of hearing you again! Your right! The first time I saw you, I thought you were the Bouncer! *Dave Nelson-Don’t worry. We want to keep you around. Therefore, they will never outlaw liquor, and weed! *Preston-hopefully, your wife hasn’t cut you yet. Just don’t post your in an undocumented relationship! *Big Joe– Be sure to keep smoking! To our surprise, Larry was up on stage! Usually your bartender is supposed to be your therapist and listen… this time, we were listening to him he was cracking us up! During the show, they had wonderful service bringing us food & drink if we ordered it. I highly recommend coming here to check it out! I’ll be back next month!

What can I say? For two visits in a row since last week, I’m in hooked! Laughs Unlimited delivers all the laugh out loud jokes no matter how hard you’ve laugh the most! As I entered their doors right in the heart of Old Sacramento, the atmosphere is quite comforting and enjoyable. The concept is much like a comedy bar on every U.S. has, but in a Sacramento way with all the decorations on it which surrounds the whole stage room. The employees include bartenders, servers, stage associates etc are doing a fine job here for making the customers like me a great, friendly atmosphere. No cons at all! I really enjoyed all these great comedians here despite the strong comedy humor which it’s not for children anymore. They’ve been rocking the house down to make this comic presentation bouts of laughter! Not a bad show at all! Parking at Laughs Unlimited in Old Sacramento can be challenging. You can park at the nearest surface street parking nor the parking garage to get there. Otherwise, you can ride a bike, walk, or use public transportation easier without the hassles. In the end, Laughs Unlimited is the coolest comedy spot that I will never forget these incredible, funniest moments. A well, worthy visit! My rating: 4 solid stars.

I loved my first experience at Laughs Unlimited. I expected the venue to be clean and staff to be friendly and I got that. The way they take food and drink orders is cool and efficient. Having it done electronically especially during a busy time is great for both customers and staff. The space is huge which I like giving customers a variety to choose where they want to enjoy themselves with laughs and a good time. Parking is convenient with a garage right next door and street parking. I highly recommend this place with its great environment and funny comedians

After attending a Unilocal event held at Laughs Unlimited and having a great time, I started to realize that I have been missing out on a lot of potential great times! It’s been a very long, dry spell since I had last visited this comedy club; mostly for the reason that I was a loner and didn’t have many friends to go out with. But rediscovering this place just made me want to come here more often, thanks to being a Unilocal member and making a lot of Unilocal friends! I really enjoyed the featured comedians, the attentive staff, the cocktails and even the bar food! This club has two forms of entertainment available. When you first enter, there is a nice lounge area, bar and live music. Or you can go to the back portion of the building where the comedy club is featured. It is quite spacious with many tables and chairs to choose from. The comedians were hilarious as we were treated to side splitting, knee slapping humor from the likes of Kiry Shabazz, Alfonso Portela, D. Tyler, Diego Curiel, Jimmy Earll and Anthony Jr. De Guzman. Each entertainer not only provided fun and laughter during their performance, but they even spent time visiting and socializing with patrons after the show. It was nice getting to know them, posing for group pictures and just adding to the pleasantries of our customer experience. Now, when I want to go out and have a good time, Laughs Unlimited will be on the top of my list of places to go!

Laughs Unlimited resembles the comedians that perform here — a little old, rough around the edges, but guaranteed to make you have a great time. The comedy club is conveniently located in Old Sacramento, making it easy to incorporate into a date night or a weekend adventure with friends. They are at the south end of Front Street right next to the parking garage and Embassy Suites area. The club is split into two areas — a front bar area and the back performance area. Like most comedy clubs, you are tightly packed in with chairs and tables. They have drink and food service at your seat to avoid delays at the crowded bar. Do not expect gourmet cuisine, but simple bar food for snacking. The drinks are cold and strong to help make everything funnier! Restrooms and service are about average for a club. I have seen several acts here and always have a great time. Big name comedians and newbies both make everyone laugh. It may be fun to hit up an open mike night just to see the cringe-worthy performances interlaced with raw talent. If you can laugh at yourself and are not easily offended, you will have a wonderful time laughing the night away.

I came here for my first Unilocal Elite event and had a blast! I enjoyed meeting other Unilocalpers. Sacramento Unilocal Elites are a group of very diverse people. It was cool having so many different people with one thing in common come together and have a great time. The food from Toro Tamales and all the wines we sampled from NakeWines were good. The comedians were pretty funny. I didn’t think I was going to laugh so much, but the wine probably helped. lol. SERVICE I didn’t have any interactions with staff members except the bartenders who were friendly. We were told we can taste the wines at the bar by the folks from NakeWines but the bartenders weren’t told that. So we blindly, ordered a wine. FINALTHOUGHTS Great people, good food and drinks, and lots of laughs! I can’t wait for the next Unilocal event :)

This place is one of the best comedy clubs in Sacramento — I still have to go to punchline but laughs Limited is always guaranteed to make you laugh really hard! I was there today with a Unilocal elite party and they had a great lineup of comedians I didn’t catch all of their names but they were all amazing! They know how to be appropriate but still be crude at the same time and that makes for a great ratinf in my book so that is why this review is getting five stars! The cocktail waitresses are pretty great as well they are very friendly and nice and you get your drink at a good decent time rather than waiting around at a bar for the bartender the catch your attention and order up I would deathly recommend going here sometime if you are in Sacramento area.

Went here for The Sweet Spot Erotic Poetry event. The bartender was super friendly and made me a very nice fruity drink because I couldn’t decide on what I wanted. The show was very entertaining. Seating is pretty intimate so you will make friends with your neighbor. I will say they need to upgrade the chairs. I changed seats three times and all the chairs had wobbly legs that I swear would break at any moment. I had their chicken nachos, and my friend order buffalo dip. Decent food for a decent price.

I have been here a few times now and can say that it is a fun place to grab drinks and share a few laughs. The comedians are sometimes hit or miss, but you cant really complain about it because its $ 10 to go. I do suggest grabbing drinks at the bar before going to see the show because it takes a while to be served. For planning purposes I suggest just sucking it up and parking in the structure right across the street because it is almost impossible to come upon any open street parking. Gave them 4 stars because its cheap and fun.

This place was a disaster. We placed orders for drinks right after we were seated… an hour and a half later said drinks were finally arriving. The headliner had started his act before we even got a drink! Some people sitting around us resorted to leaving in the middle of the show to walk to the bar and order their own drinks. We placed an order for round 2 right when our drinks came thinking they’d at least make it out before the show(they keep reminding you that it’s a two drink minimum). NOPE. Drinks never made it to us. In fact, we got our bill and the second round of drinks wasn’t even on there. So much for two drink minimum. To top the night off, we handed the waitress our billfold with our credit card in it. She comes back, places the billfold on the table, and leaves. No card inside. Haven’t been charged. Nothing. We finally track her down. Where’s our card? She adamantly denies that we gave her our card. Says we must have lost it. It against the law for her to walk away with our card. Yadda yadda. We look for a manager. While the manager is looking, a janitor walks over… he found our card laying on the FLOOR!!! So ridiculous. It’s sad, because the show itself was awesome and hilarious. We would have liked to come back to this place. However, the terrible service will keep us and our friends away. Do yourself a favor. Avoid this place and go to Punchline over on Howe and Arden instead. The service is GREAT and the laughs just as good.

Who doesn’t have fun at a comedy spot? There’s nothing too spectacular about this place, but they get the job done. The service is good, the drinks are reasonably priced, there are plenty of seats with good views, and it’s not hard to get seated in the front. I had the great experience of seeing the one and only Pauly Shore and I sat right in front. Pauly Shore? Remember him from the 90s? Yeah, that guy! Parking in Old Sac can be a pain, though, so be prepared to use the lot or grab a Lyft/Über. Enjoy!

First time coming here and I had a blast. The theatre itself is set up to where it’s easy to see the stage from where ever you are seated. There is a bar in the front section as you make your way to the back for the show. We purchased our tickets in advance and went to the 10:30 show. It was sold out. Apparently the 8 o’clock showing had been sold out as well. My only complaint the drinks weren’t very strong, typical club/bar prices tho. The theatre did get a bit warm after while even though the air condition was on. I would go again and if your favorite comedian is there just go for the laughs. Oh and FYI2 item(drinks/food) minimum. I ordered 2 drinks $ 13 bucks, not bad but like I said they were weak.

First time being here, love it. Very casual, love the music, not too crowded on a Sunday evening. Definitely good for groups. Also, they have comedy shows as well. I will check it out next time I am back in town.

This is the best comedy club in the Sacramento area. It’s a more intimate venue than the Punchline with much more personality and ambiance. The comedians they get here are hilarious and the shows almost always sell out. They have a bar where you can hang out while waiting for the show and the bartenders are friendly and helpful. Once seated, the server only comes by about 2 times so make sure you plan your drink/food orders accordingly. The drinks are inconsistent — sometimes good and sometimes bad. We ordered 3 hurricanes which are supposed to be made with coconut rum. A hurricane is supposed to be sweet, like a mai tai, but with the addition of coconut rum. The first two did not have the correct balance of alcohol to sweetness(there was very little sweetness). It tasted more like rum mixed with water and a splash of grenadine for color. I ordered another one and it was delicious. Sweet with pineapple juice and tasting of coconut rum. Yum! Laugh’s offers a menu with appetizers and desserts which is perfect for the late night show. The food isn’t from a four-star restaurant but it hits the spot. We love this place and have been coming here for years. Definitely a fan of Laugh’s Unlimited!
