West on Centre

Great place. Did Sunday Brunch and it was wonderful. Atmosphere, service and huge portion were all good, beyond expectations.

Awesome experience! Got this southern fried chicken plate tonight, didn’t expect it to be so great! Totally delicious. One of the best meals out that I’ve had in a long time, so good! Very cozy spot by the fireplace too. Perfect for this time of the year.

Fantastic food and great value! Huge brunch portions, great prices, nice décor, great service and very delicious options. We tried the blueberry pancakes, eggs Benedict, steak tips, omelets and more. We loved everything. Loved the free mini cinnamon muffins. Nice touch!

I ordered a great dish there the kale and quinoa salad. It didn’t sound like much but was much better than I had anticipated. It was served chilled and was one of the best quinoa dishes I have ever had.
I ordered a banana pudding and their idea of pudding must be more British than a traditional American banana pudding. It wasn’t sooth and creamy and did not come in a bowl. It was a solid thing like a muffin or something and was drowned in ice cream and whipped cream and chocolate sauce.

Stopped for a quick lunch and it was fantastic! Clam chowder is more clam than chowder! Delicious! We had the garden salad and the kale salad and both were very good, lots of fresh carrots and peppers etc… The beer selection looks inviting so we will be back for dinner :-)). Service was quick and efficient.

The West on Center: I stopped by the West with my husband on December 26^th, I ordered the special Mussels in a dried tomato and wine sauce with herbs… not only did I eat every single mussel but pleaded for extra sauce. This is one if not the most memorable dishes I have ever sampled. The mussel’s with the sauce was so good, I dragged two friends, (at half time Patriots game) down to the bar where they could continue watching the game just to try the dish. They both agreed… best mussels with sauce they ever had.

Love it! Came for brunch on a Saturday afternoon. We were promptly seated and service was on point. Meal portions are generous and not too expensive! My huevos rancheros was delicious. I will definitely be coming back for brunch again and hopefully dinner. They also had a lively bar scene. 5 stars!

Sat in the lounge area, which is cozy. You have 2 – 4 waiters waiting on you, which sounds nice, but when you don’t need them they are ALL asking if you need something and then ALL walk by you when you are done with your meal. Kind of confusing, but overall left something to be desired in terms of service. The pork chop was great. The swordfish was perfectly cooked, but then drenched in an Indian-​like tomato/​cumin sauce that totally overpowered it. The sweet potato/​mushroom succotash that it came with was burnt and not very good due to that. I will definitely return to try the fried chicken, which I wish I got! I will probably try to sit in the dining room next time!

I had brunch with my daughter. We loved the toasted mini muffins that came first. My daughter had the kids pancakes that was great. I had the chicken and waffles with a black pepper gravy. It was delicious. The portions are great and we were so full it was nap time when we left.

It crossed our minds several times to stop here, and I always overlooked it due to a few negative reviews, but after our experience we will definitely go back. The service was very attentive and accommodating, they handled our child’s tree nut allergy very well, and the food was excellent. My son had what I fell is some of the best fried chicken in town, and our other dinners off the specials menu were excellent as well. The restaurant has an upscale and modern atmosphere but still meets the needs of a family. Very good!

Went last weekend — Nov. 1^st-​. Very disappointing. Service was slow, not attentive. Had to ask for someone to come to table, drinks empty during meal, only one dessert menu for a table of 8. I used to really like West, but based on this experience and the fact that no one responded to the email I sent, I will not go back and can no longer recommend. Bummer.

I arrived Sunday at about 12:30PM the place was moderately packed. I was seated in the middle of the bar side at a 10 person table. Friends were already there, so I took a moment to mull over the menu and decided on the omelet with chorizo/​pico de gallo and guacamole. Soooo it was a great choice, my omelet was cooked to perfection, I have zero complaints about the food. The service on the other hand Is the real reason for the low star rating, after about a half an hour of being seated the place started to clear out; It took about 30 minutes to get new round of drinks each time. I’m not at all fond of tracking down my waiter when he/​she should be checking in with us… which never happened. All in all I would totally visit again, but hopefully this slowness was just a fluke.

Great restaurant! I proposed to my girlfriend here, and the staff did a tremendous job of making it a special night for my fiancé and I. First of all, our dinner was great– try the teriyaki chicken dish, you won’t be disappointed.
Prior to dinner, I called the restaurant and asked if they can write a special message on the dessert. They, of course, obliged and when the dessert came out, my fiancé and I were both very impressed! The chef did a beautiful job, and actually came out of the kitchen afterwards to congratulate us. After the proposal, the server brought us two glasses of champagne-​on the house– which was really nice. It was truly a very special evening.
If you go on the weekend, I would suggest making reservations as it gets pretty crowded. Great restaurant with great staff– I highly recommend!

Went to west for trivia and dinner the other night, haven’t been in a while. Not sure how new the menu is, but I love it! Got the fish sandwich, which was overflowing with some great tasting fish! The best part of the menu, though, is there is something for you no matter what you’re in the mood for. Great atmosphere, great food. Can’t wait to go back!

Been here once before and it was great, so I took the whole family (7 people + a newborn) tonight. Food was still great, but the service was TERRIBLE. We had a 7pm reservation, had our orders taken promptly, and the server said she’d be right back with bread. At 7:45, we still hadn’t gotten our salads OR our bread and everyone was getting restless. I would’ve said something sooner to the server, but she hadn’t come back to the table for 40 minutes so I had to get up and ask food runners for bread. They sent our server over, who explained that she had delegated the bread task to someone else — who had dropped the ball. Who ever heard of a server delegating their job to someone else? It’s just bread. Get the bread.
Everyone ravenously devoured the bread, and our salads came, but at 8:05 still no sign of entrees. The server asked if we wanted more bread, and I said yes. From this point forward she must’ve been pissed off or something, because she started acting passive aggressively. She practically threw the second round of bread on the table (in the same basket, with the same empty little cup of spread for the bread). Someone else delivered all of our food, and toward the end of our meal she started warming up to us again, but I was really disappointed that I talked this place up, brought in my family, and had a terrible experience.
I’d also like to mention that the manager was working the line a lot of the time and never once came over to our half of the restaurant. I wanted to give him a heads when we were waiting 45 minutes for bread, and spent 10 minutes trying to catch his eye but he never even glanced in our general direction. Maybe they were understaffed or something, but c’mon folks. Do your jobs. Servers not serving and managers not managing? Sheesh.

Came here with family for brunch on a Sunday. We made a reservation for 5 and they sat is right away

Brunch drinks were excellent. Everyone enjoyed their food.
Probably time to take down the Christmas decorations along the ceiling.
The outdoor patio looks nice.
Would definitely come back!

West does a fantastic job. I’ve eaten here a few more times since my last review and their food is incredibly consistent and delicious. The atmosphere is classy yet laid back. I love their Christmas decorations.
My family held my bridal shower here last weekend and everything went incredibly well. I got so many compliments on the downstairs venue being quiet and welcoming and the food was excellent. My mom said Eleanor was a pleasure to work with and made the planning of the event super easy. Their banquet menu is very affordable especially considering the quality of the food. I would absolutely have another event here.

Solid craft beer selection, nice ambience and good food make this a safe choice for a nice meal and night out.
Place is sectioned off into two areas; one is more of a bar area and younger, the other side is more for families but somehow it actually works well.
I wouldn’t say anything really stood out, but it definitely met my expectations and then some, after my first visit. I’ll look forward to my next night out here!

This weekend my fiancé had her bridal shower here at West on Centre. Her family rented their downstairs room which was a great little space with a back patio area. The management and staff here at this restaurant were amazing and made our experience of setting up an easy one.
While the ladies enjoyed the bridal shower, I had the chance to grab a quick bite to eat before heading out for a few hours. The food here was delicious and my favorite was the fish and chips. I also heard that the steak and chicken dishes catered for the bridal shower were incredible as well.
In the end the bridal party had a blast at this restaurant and talked about how great the staff was. They did an incredible job of taking care of all the guests which made their time here even more enjoyable. The only minor inconvenience is that parking can be a little tight but overall this is a great place!
