For lunch I tried their jalapeño burger, with southwest sauce. It was fantastic. The burger was cooked to perfection and that sauce was a unique and delicious complement to the burger. Enjoyed every bite. I’ve also had their egg burger a few times which is very tasty as well.

This is a small restaurant, one side is a bar, the other side a restaurant. Nothing special about the décor of this small town business, but still a comfortable place. We started with an appetizer of cheese balls, which were just over $ 3.00 for a small plate full, which was very reasonable. I had the MACburger which is a play on the big mac and my husband had the ultimate patty melt minus the onions. Mine was a very juicy burger, hubby’s said his was on the dry side. The actual burger seemed much smaller than the 1⁄3 pound that their website said they served, so we were disappointed in that. The French fries were awesome! They were skin on thin fries that were hot and crispy when they were served to us. Delicious! The young waitress was friendly enough, but she had on short shorts, which just didn’t seem appropriate for someone working the front of the restaurant and seen by customers. For both of our burgers with fries, our appetizer and two sodas, the cost with tip was under $ 25.00. Overall, we’d definitely give this place another try, if even just for the fries! Note, we did not visit the bar side, so cannot give a review on that.

Well since we got dissed the minute we walked in by the bartender, we left. We were looking for dive bars on the way home from Iowa City, and this was our first stop. We left immediately. Too bad.
