I’ve bought from this place so many times, and every single time we get TERRIBLE service. The pizza is delicious, which is why we keep putting up with it, but after last time I don’t know if we will ever go back. The phones ring off the hook constantly and no one picks up(making it difficult to order delivery) even if there are lots of employees free. Last night our pizza sat on the counter for ten minutes while three employees chatted behind the register doing nothing(we had even called ahead and we were still waiting for 20 minutes). We once ordered a pizza and it arrived an hour and a half later, cold and stale. Absolutely horrible management.

$ 48 for 2 pizzas and a salad. Dough is thin style yet not crispy, just doughy. Light on toppings. We ordered two specialty pizzas Chick Italian and Meatza. Not impressed. Salad was in foil and all utensils are plastic packs.

Everything from the pizza crust(soft!) to the cheese and sauce are awesome. Other than pizzas, also try their cheese sticks and grinders(which are HUGE). My favorite pizza place at Purdue!

Service was lacking, pizza was just ok, breadsticks were good. Tables were dirty. I wouldn’t go back.

Spent $ 35 bux and the pizza was soggy from the chicken and sauce. The wings were cold, no dipping sauce, and just. sucked. The only thing that saved this meal from being completely trashed is the garlic sauce and the crust of the pizza. Maybe since I’m not a college kid and like to eat good food. I’m confused to why everyone is a fan of this spot. Hotel front desk said this was the place to order pizza and after reading the reviews, my boyfriend and I pulled the trigger, got the specialty pizza(Italian) and some wings. Worst pizza and wings I’ve ever had. And I’m not trying to be an uptight chick about it but wow. What a disappointment.

They do have amazing cheese sticks and delicious pizzas. But their services stink there. They always forget a topping or get the wrong toppings. One time I went to pick up a two topping pizza but they made the wrong pizza. They said they would make me a new one. They made a new one and it turned out to be the wrong pizza again. They said they would make another one. Another wrong pizza. I ended up waiting for nearly one hour like a fool. They never apologize or give discount for their mistakes. Another instance, I went up to the register and was about to order. The girl at the register completely ignored me and continued to giggle and send text messages on her phone for 10 minutes. When she did take my orders, she never tried to communicate. And guess what the pizza came with the wrong toppings! She never apologized or offered to give me a refund. I raised my voice because of her stinky attitude and she fled to her manager who was even worse. The manager never apologized either about the mistakes and treated me like some disgruntled customer. He even tried to kick me out of the store. These people really do need to get their priority correct, that is customer service.

Okay, so I’m judging this pizza along with all the other places in the area, NOT pizza in general. I’ve had better in Chicago, but Mad Mushroom is the best by far in the Purdue area. The toppings and dough are fresh and tasty. They’re better than hotbox because they’re not stingy with the toppings and it doesn’t take 60 years for them to deliver your pizza. Prices and deals are better as well. Double cheese and double pepperoni is the best! Found my new weekend pizza joint!

The only reason that this restaurant get’s three stars is because they have very good cheezstix. If it weren’t for then it would certainly be two stars only. I tried Mad Mush because i’d heard that it was good and it was on Hungry Boiler and I could not find my usual pizza place. It was not particularly good. Except for the previously mentioned bread sticks the pizza was really not particularly good.

Mad mushroom is a mediocre, at best, pizza place. Why praise such place as the best pizza place on campus? I would just go to some chain pizza place and save $$$.

Boiler Up, Hammer Down… Yummy Up! This is my favorite pizza in my local areas being the 765’s! I don’t see why the love is lacking, all I can think is the price to college students. First off. If you are a boilermaker alumni, you can’t deny your drunken nights with friends for the cheesy bread sticks(glorified meaning it is a delicious cheese pizza cut up in strips for a group of drunken college students to share) served with ranch or nacho cheese to dip it in. I have never loved this sober. After a night at the bars, my lovable current boilermakers still learning need to finish Purdue right and add this to your«to eat drunk with friends» lists. You can’t graduate without sharing the mad mushroom experience later. Haha! Sober and alumni, I LOVE the new second location. The old one is still there but the new one here(joined with Boiler Market) is very nice inside! I love it a lot! I love the specialty pizza«white pie.» It’s a white sauce pizza meaning olive oil, herbs, and spices with some ricotta cheese mixed in and then cheese and pepperoni for me. It’s a delicious switch from tomato paste and tomato sauce pizza. Soooo delicious! I like it hot or cold leftovers even! The white sauce pizza(or the specialty pizzas here) might feel a little pricy for college kids on a budget — but maybe get the deals and split with your friends for like a specialty pizza and regular pizza(both large pizzas) and that works then. The mad mushroom garlic dipping sauce is delicious. The nacho cheese can be substituted and I love that too. Overall, I have always had great service here. Even on home football game days of all those drunken«breakfast clubs» at the campus bars from 7am-noon/football game time! They serve me well and kindly always. My friends as well. The new branch certainly is awesome. The old location I would review 4 stars for other reasons, but this is remodeled now. Added on to Boiler Market. It is right across from Harry’s(the popular alumni-Ish campus bar). I think as the alumni make their returns to Homecoming, Grand Prix, and Harry’s/Boiler Market/Mad Mushroom now right across the street and lovely inside… I believe I will be the first of many to say, «Mad Mushroom is this convenient now?!» Then walk in and be like, «Wow!» I love the painted wall. I love the expansion of Boiler Market turning into more of a Mad Mushroom pizza place in my opinion. I sat in a booth one day, ate pizza, and watched the Chicago Bulls game. So, do I have any other followers here yet? Lol. I am a huge fan. I love Mad Mushroom White Sauce pizza. I love extra ricotta in the sauce too. I try hard to get them to actually do that a little better when I order. They seem to glob it on as another topping sometimes. Either way it’s so yummy! Check this out! Split the bill or buy a package/deal and refrigerate! It’s good as leftovers. Overall — for me personally, this is my favorite pizza in my current geographic area. You get what you pay for. The new location has yet to let me down or treat me like a drunken idiot! Haha! «Mad Mushroom, home of the original cheese sticks.» That’s right Purdue peeps! So BoilerUp and get to here and experience the joy of the affordable drunken cheesy bread nights! You will thank me later! We have many pizza places in the 765, besides Chicago having more, how we have so many is beyond me — besides being a college town. Of all the pizza places around, this one is my personal favorite! I’ll dine in or carry out. I’ll eat it all now, or save it for later(hot or cold)! Thank you Mad Mushroom! I love you from drunken college cheesy bread years to sober alumni white sauce pizza years! You are delicious! P. S. Purdue Pete is painted on the wall, driving the boilermaker express train, delivering a large«mushroom.» Check out the inside! Yeah!!! All hail Purdue once again. Mad Mushroom joining Boiler Market is epic. It’s bleeding black and gold for us all and I am in love with this pizza and location of! Cheers!

Had the chicken cranberry salad. No complaints at all about the good. Looked good and tasted better. A+ for that. Invest in some better cutlery for carryout orders, please. I would have been better off eating everything with my fingers.

Mad Mushroom, otherwise known as Mad Mush, has definitely earned a 1up mushroom in my World. When my roomies and I are too lazy or tired to cook, we know who to call. Highly praised for their giant cheesy sticks, Mad Mush never ceases to disappoint. This 20′ monster is able to satiate roughly 6 – 7 broke and drunk college students who gathered enough loose change to pay for this glorious godsend treat. Along with this piece of heaven comes 6 dipping sauces, which usually we get 2 of buttery garlic, ranch, and marinara sauce. These dipping sauces are enough to send each of us over the edge and never want to come back except for another cheesy stick. It’s a pretty convenient location if you live near or campus as it is right next to the main bars and Von’s Bookshop. However, if you live off campus, they tend to take their sweet time seeing as the zombie apocalypse will probably happen before they get to my apartment. We have learned our lesson that we order ahead of time and try to calculate when we will be starving and complaining for the only fulfilling cheesy stick will satisfy our stomachs before we ourselves turn into zombies. We’ve calculated it’s usually within the hour we start. Overall, Mad Mush definitely earns their hard earned 4 stars but lose their 5th star due to their extremely slow service.

Purdue Tradition. If you’re in WL, you better get Mad Mush at some point. Getting Cheesestix after a long night of partying was almost a hobby of mine during my 4 years at Purdue.

Sometime The Meats really just hits the spot and cheese sticks good too. Haven’t tried much else. Liked the old wl location better, it was easier for the locals to get in and out of.

The food here is expensive, greasy and gluten heavy. For example I paid $ 6.99 + tax for 5 tiny chicken wings(refer to photos for proof). I’ve never been so disappointed with wings in my life. I’m giving this place two stars for convenient location, good antipasto salad and loaded fries. The pizza and cheesy bread is expensive for what is just bread!

Mad Mush is a Purdue staple and tradition. Two years after graduation and I’m still craving the cheesy garlicky goodness that is their cheesy bread. I stopped by Purdue this weekend to visit my brother and after walking past Mad Mush on our way to Chipotle, we knew we had to eat there instead. Their prices are good and you will always end up with leftovers. A 16″ cheesy bread was $ 11.99 before tax. They deliver late into the night as all good businesses in a college town do. I think their food tastes even better after midnight. Definitely get some Mad Mush if you’re passing through Lafayette/West Lafayette, or if you’re a freshman, order some and cross it off your Purdue bucket list! Boiler up!

I understand closing early during Snowpacalypse Winter Storm Ion. What I don’t understand is leaving your voicemail as «Please wait while we connect you to one of our wonderful employees» and leaving your online ordering system up, charging my card and leaving me to wait two hours before walking to the location to see what was going on.

I like pizzas here. Its usually a lot cheaper than other places in the area, and usually a lot more tastier as well(the bread is usually thinner than regular). I would go for 4 stars, but I always feel a little iffy about cleanliness here.
