When a deli puts the word«gourmet» in their name, they’ve got to live up to a higher standard. I’d say these guys make it work. It’s true, the chicken cutlets are very good. I had a Springtime hero for breakfast. As in one of those guys who eats dinner in the early morning(9am today), i appreciate the fact that they serve their gourmet stuff at any time. The service was fine, treatment varied depending on the staff member, though there was a tall, young looking fellow who stood out, asking me how my sandwich was when I returned for a drink. There are no tables here, so be prepared to take out.

Friendliest staff and best breakfast egg sandwiches around. I’m so glad I started going here!

Over priced and a sub standard sandwich. They need to look at what they are serving and either adjust the prices or make some changes to there sandwich making techniques.

Great staff, the nicest people giving excellent customer service, very genuine. Local basic deli, good for sandwiches, they now have toss salads which is a nice refreshing treat. Disappointed that they didn’t have any shrimp salad, had a craving but went for deli sandwich instead. Support local family businesses!

Absolutely love this place. This is our go to spot after Sunday mass. They make great sandwiches and take care to get your order correct. The folks at the counter are very personable and looking to please. We have had sandwiches, salads, breakfast meals and meats from here and are always happy. The claim the rueben is the Worlds Greatest… not sure about that, but I loved mine!

Always really great food and even better service. Always a smile when you walk in from the staff who are quick to ask how they can help you and how your day is going. The egg sandwiches are amazing and so is the potato salad. My brother swears on their sandwiches. I definitely recommend it.

Have been looking for a deli around where I live, for a while and thought to try this place. Stopped in for an egg sandwich and they were cheap and good. Then started going for lunch and grabbing heros because I thought there quality and quantity would transfer. At first the heros were good… I used to get a simple hero and it was always good, fair price as well, nothing over the top. but over time the quantity of meat has dropped off. I started asking for a BLT on a hero. Wrong choice, 7.99 for 4 strips of bacon(not thick cut) a pound of lettuce and 3 slices of tomato. So I thought it was a one time only thing… so I tried a few more times. and all the same results… seems like they just want you to have a garnish of bacon. Went back to the regular sandwich and same thing more vegis and less meat… still the same price though. hopefully it returns to the good old days..

I used to work in the area and stopped in once a week. Their Reuben is INCREDIBLE. Although they only have corned beef once or twice per week, it’s to die for! Their pastrami reuben is also amazing. It’s a shame I no longer work in the area because I was becoming close with their friendly staff. Whenever I’m back in West Islip, I’ll be sure to stop in!

I’ve been to this deli twice because I work in the same complex where it is located. I got their«worlds best Reuben» sandwich. I legit went inside cuz I saw their sign outside and it was my first time trying a Reuben sandwich. I was not impressed. The meat was so salty. I think they gave me roast beef. Not pastrami?! And there was way too little sauerkraut and sauce. The bread was toooo buttery. Their pickle and sauce and cole slaw was good tho. Another time I got their kicken chicken(buffalo chicken) hero and it was the BoMb. They can improve on the bread they use for the hero tho. It was too flimsy. But the chicken cutlet, their homemade buffalo sauce, blue cheese was all on point. I would just ask for extra lettuce next time. The workers here can be kinda rude but some are nice. I would recommend their buffalo chicken hero!

I’ve been here there times in the past two weeks. The staff are all friendly, patient, and helpful. The garlic Hero is amazing… I can’t order anything else because it was so good the first time. I’d like to try their breakfast. I had their kickin chicken and chicken bullet… both were freshly prepared and excellent. I have to stop myself from eating the whole hero in one sitting!

«What’s good here?» I asked the owner. «We have great chicken cutlets.» That is no lie, but also completely modest and a huge omission of the truth; everything is great here, not just the chicken cutlets! My friends and I had an amazing lunch of chicken cutlet and grilled cheese sandwiches, some really amazing fresh, homemade tomato soup and excellent potato salad; often one of the dishes that defines a deli’s quality. Friendly service, helpful suggestions, great food. It’s the kind of place you could easily hit frequently for hot or cold food, breakfast, lunch, dinner or snacks. Go!
