Today was the second time I have received a perfect haircut from Rosa. She is friendly, relaxed, fun to chat with, and never stops adjusting the cut until the customer finds it to be completely to their liking. As long as I live in the area I will only go to Rosa. I don’t know what more I can say! :)

Rosa was awesome! I got a hair cut and blow out with her and I have no complaints. She took the time to explain what she thought would work best for my hair type and freely offered advice on how to do my hair. She was quick, very personable and I would definitely recommend her.

Rosa, is such an awesome person. From the second I walked in her shop, I felt right at home. She did partial highlights on my dark brown hair, and gave me a cut with lots of layers just as requested. I am extremely pleased the way my hair came out. It feels healthy, light, and the color came out perfect! I will definitely be back. Next up… Keratin treatment

I found Rosa working in Riverside about 9 years ago. She really listens to what you want and is honest about what you should or shouldn’t do with your hair. She also cares about her clients and remembers things about your life. She is a very sweet snd considerate person. Rosa knows how to cut, color and style long thick hair. I was so bummed after she left Riverside and did try two others stylist, but they didn’t compare. So I happily drive to LA just for her. I highly recommend her!

I’ve been going to Rosa for the past few years on recommendation from a good friend and I don’t get my haircut anywhere else! Her cuts are great and I love her keratin gloss. Rosa is super professional, easy to talk to, and does an amazing job every time.

A friend referred me to Rosa at Salon Republic. She highlighted my hair beautifully with hardly any explanation EXACTLY how I wanted it, she did it quickly but thoroughly and she blow dried it just right. Unfortunately she did not maintain consistency, the next time it did not look the same. She’s a nice lady but I was pretty disappointed and she refunded me, I wanted to return but I ended up moving and couldn’t give it another chance. Good luck Rosa you did some of the best highlights Ive ever had the first time!

I have been having my hair cut by Rosa for over a year now. When I moved to LA I had a hard time finding someone who could cut my hair how I wanted it. I found Rosa and she did it perfectly on the first cut. I was HOOKED!
She is very personable, and easy to spend time with while you are in the chair. Rosa is also very funny, and genuinely cares about you and what’s happening in your life. I know this because she remembers everything that we talked about from the month before. She has also been very accommodating to my hectic schedule which is big deal.

With so many hair stylists in the biz in LA how do you choose? Well, choose Rosa because she’s awesome and the most important part? She’s friendly and LISTENS to what you want. I cannot even tell you how hard it is to find someone like this! When I lived in San Francisco I stayed with the same hair person for 10 years because the person listened to my needs /​wants. This is very important! And Rosa has the exact same quality. Because of this, when I moved to Las Vegas 6 months ago for a new job I STILL go see Rosa once a month (sometimes TWICE) because I love the way she does my hair.

Got referred to Rosa from a client about 18 months ago. Have gone to her about 5 times & it’s been amazing every time! I had just moved to LA at the time & feel so lucky to have found someone with her quality that quickly without paying «Hollywood/​Beverly Hills» prices! She does a unique method of highlights where they’re placed diagonally so you don’t see them grow out as harsh as they usually would. I tend to wait too long in between getting my hair done & she always knows how to deal with the re-​growth & match the new highlights with the old ones perfectly! I never see that separation that a lot of stylists have done to me where I have darker highlights from scalp to midway down, then even lighter ones the rest of the way… so amateur.

Not only did I leave with a great hair cut, but Rosa is also really fun to talk to. What a find! I had been going to the same person for color and cuts for over 10 years and when he became too busy to schedule with easily I decided to make a change. After one bad haircut from a top rated stylist I was really scared to try again — BUT — I started searching reviews in my area and luckily they led me to Rosa! She is an absolute angel and we had a long chat about my thick wavy (loves to frizz) hair and she gave me a perfect cut. She mentioned that she would love to correct my color and I decided to give her a shot a few weeks later when my roots came in. It was perfect!
After working with my pain in the neck hair for several months she suggested that a Keratin treatment might make my life much easier and I decided to trust her. It has seriously changed my life. No more 30 minutes struggling with a blow dryer. If I take 10 minutes it looks like I used a flat iron!

I moved down to Los Angeles from the Bay Area in order to be with my long-​time Girlfriend. When I moved, she informed me that I would no longer be getting haircuts at Supercuts, and that it was time for me to get a big boy haircut.
My girlfriend had been frequenting a certain off-​of-​Melrose hair studio, and recommended that I check that place out too. My first time there, I was blown away by the service provided. I mean, seriously, they wash your hair for you? How crazy is that? No more Supercuts for me. I was hooked.
My first time there, I had an appointment with the tyrannical owner of the salon, who shall remain nameless. She wasn’t bad, but that was the last time she cut my hair. The second time I called for an appointment, the inglorious owner was not available, and I was handed off to Rosa. And I’ve stuck with her ever since, for two years now.
Rosa recently decided to unshackle herself from the harsh working conditions of the before mentioned off-​of-​Melrose hair studio and its unnamed despotic owner, and now she’s got herself a brand spanking new salon all her own at the pretty darn awesome salon spaces provided by Salon Republic.
Now down to why Rosa deserves all my 5 stars. She’s super nice, and is an excellent conversationalist. She lived in the Bay Area for a while, so we can relate to each other pretty well. She is very experienced, with more than 20 years worth of cutting hair under her belt. If hair styling was a martial art, she’d be a black belt several times over, for sure. I always get tons of compliments on my hair after seeing Rosa, so you know she does a good job. My hair is rather difficult to work with, but Rosa really took her time figuring out the best way to handle it, and now she’s a pro. As long as I’m living in LA (and as long as she’s working here too), I will be getting my hair did by Rosa. Check her out!

Rosa is the absolute best! She has been cutting my hair for about a year now and she is fantastic!
