Would not recommend her to anyone. My girlfriend saw her ad on groupon, set up a appointment for extensions. The extensions fell out within one week and she did not care enough to even respond to try to fix the problem. Very very disappointed and such a waste of money.

Amelia has ruined my daughter’s hair, 7 years old only, she did Keratin treatment in my child, lied about the real contents of the straightener she used, pretending that there were no chemicals in it, she burned my little girl scalp and afterwards when I let her know that my daughter was losing her hair, complaining of headache, burning eyes, Amelia showed no concerned, I had to chase her for a response for 8 days, not returning phone calls or text messages or even showing up to appointment made by her, on her schedule and terms ! This women is herself a mother of a little girl and by seeing how Amelia behaved after screwing my daughter’s hair she has nothing in her that reflect a ounce of what a mother should be ! She should not be able to do hair anymore, she is a danger, I had night mares and was living under tremendous amount of stress, seeing my daughter losing piece of hair of her head and crying in pain !!! She basically assaulted my child !!! And walk free on a street !!! She is a bad hairdresser and bad person !

I brought my daughter in for a straightening treatment with Amelia Johnson. I had been going back and forth with her for about 3 weeks in regards to doing my daughters hair. I told her I did NOT want ANY chemicals put on my daughter’s head. After going back and forth she assured me that she had a product that is all organic and has NO CHEMICALS. I finally agreed after I reiterated how important it is that there is to be no chemicals and how important my daughter is to me. I brought her in to do the treatment and she burnt my daughters head with the flat iron (isn’t the first time) and told us to leave the treatment in for the next 24 hours and then wash her it out of her hair. Come to find out, she was supposed to wash the treatment out within 7 – 10 minutes of putting it on. Amelia applied the Jean Paul Myne Keratin treatment to her scalp and the directions clearly state not to apply to the scalp because it could cause severe damage to the scalp and chemical burn as well as other things. It was so potent that her eyes were watering and her head was itching and irritated the whole night.
Now, my daughter is having sever hair loss. She has patches of missing hair on her head, getting frequent headaches making her not able to stay at school, her scalp is itching and in pain. She is embarrassed to even go to school or even walk out of the house. What little girl in the world deserves this at such a young age?!
Please give this letter the attention it deserves no ones daughter … no one in general should have to endure this pain and now suffering that my daughter now has to go through because of her. I know that if she does not get stopped she will do it again to someone else. Not only did she lie, deceive and ill advise her customer on product knowledge, she scarred a beautiful little girl for life with emotional and physical damage. I don’t really know what product Amelia used, because I have asked many times and she would not tell me. She just said Jean Paul but there is 5 different treatments she could have used. I also asked her how she applied product and she said to the ends and scalp. I immediately replied that she poisoned my child because the product clearly states don’t apply to scalp, and she replied she did not apply to scalp. This women is the definition of a scumbag and I believe she purposely hurt my child because she asked my child if her Dad was going to have more babies, and my child responded, «mind your own business.» Being that my child is 7 years old I think she purposely hurt my child because of her response, that she does not need to know about her Dad. I asked my little girl 10 times on way home if she really said that to Amelia because I did not believe my child would respond that way, but she was tired of Amelia probing her for personal information about her Dad. I don’t believe Amelia is that stupid to initially apply product to the scalp and leave the product in for 24 hours, I think she was trying to get even with a little girl that told her to mind her own business about her daddy. I am heartbroken that my little girl is suffering and I can’t do anything to stop the pain. This women deserves a nice cozy jail cell.

I love Amelia as my hair stylist. She truly is just magical when it comes to hair! So down to earth, very personable and loves what she does. Her work is impeccable!
