It’s amazing inside. There’s a secret Frank Gehry building. Don’t touch anything.

seems to me, this place is a great creative playground! This gallery is great and really quite intimate! I think it is a marvelous idea to offer artists a residency that may take them outside their safety zones of painting and sculpture. The«hot off the press» smell inspires you with creative thoughts as you stroll through the work/play set up in the modern gallery and back room. Then heading up into the retro wooden architecture of the adjoining building creates for me, a real sense of anticipation, even though I know what’s up there. I found that the staff are creative and bright, yet down to earth. i love that. I am not a fan of blobbity blah art lingo, but as I always find myself lost in lines on paper in this gallery, i think there is so much more to it than a first glance reveals. heck, i thought it was under construction til I toured around inside.

At the workshop, artists carve or draw so master printers(over 2000 editions!) can pull editions. Ed Ruscha, Frank Stella, and Richard Serra are among past collaborators. Etchings and lithographs can be bought from $ 500‑5000. Every screenprint/woodcut is numbered and signed. Only open Monday through Friday, this is a 32 year old limited edition publisher of artists’ prints.
