One our favorite go to restaurants. Food is always great. Good variety on the menu. The service is always great. The fried seafood, house made pastrami, roast beef and homemade desserts are THE BEST!

I was there tonight. My place to go for 3 years in a row for my birthday. Our server Dawn was wonderful! We always get the garlic cheese fondue which is to die for. I must say that I am an extreme lover of sea scallops, so that is all I order there. They’re hard to find, even at other seafood restaurants. And they offer many ways to prepare them. Of all the times I’ve been there my dining partners were always happy with their dinners. Meatloaf, salmon & fried seafood combo. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone I know.

This is a family restaurant, the son a fantastic person, the Dad is sweet. Some of the staff has been present for years as well. Food is great.
I rated a 4 because the wife is poison to the business and should not be present in anything. She is not a business or people person. Huge fail on both. I refused to eat here for a while due to her. I was dragged back in kicking and screaming. Luckily she wasn’t there. I was nice when the Son and Father asked why I disappeared. I’m glad I go back but only when Wife is not there, otherwise I turn around and walk out.

Went for dinner Monday night. I don’t know what’s happened here my dinner was terrible. Steak was totally raw asked for medium rare. Sitting in a plate of blood. Had two slices of carrots with some parsnip served cold. I paid 16.95 for a baked potato. This was one of my favorite restaurants not any longer.

While I have frequented your establishment for years, you continue to serve carrots as your vegetables. Carrots are a starch. Also, you have stopped giving the choice of spinich. Your food is good but a vegetable with dinner is my preference. Please change your offerings for the vegetable from carrots to something that is a true vegetable. Maybe squash, sting beans, Brussel sprouts… Thank You. The rating is do to the lack of a vegetables.

OMG. What a great dinner! Food was amazing and Dawn was great. Try the bread pudding, it is the best i have had in at least a decade.

Best Pastrami Sandwich in the state!!! Great service, and Walter is the best cook around.

I’m not a huge fan of thin cut deli, but good lord do they pack flavor in that pastrami. The bisque was judiciously rich and just sweet enough to make every salty, savory bite of the sandwich as worthwhile as the first. Although I’m not even remotely local, I can see that I will be back here again and again. Kind and quick service (shoutout to Dan, the barkeep), and plenty of bite for your buck. My only want was for one more bite to carry that taste with me all the way up 95.

After being here several times — I can review them with certainty— my absolute favorite is the appetizer-​heavens stuffed artichokes — I enjoy an order there & every time brought an order home — all meals here have been exceptional– a hometown bar — kick back & enjoy your food & drinks — best fish & chips that I have enjoyed in a long time — feels like home & perfection in their dishes —

The food is always good and the staff is always friendly and sharp. The portions are large, enough for two, even the sandwiches. It’s not a fancy place at all but it’s dinning room is usually crowded and great music is always playing.

I split the Savin Rock Melt on grilled Rye along with a side salad with my husband. It was Just the right amount of food for the two of us as the portions are huge and too much for one.
Service was great and efficient.

After reading the reviews we decided to stop here on the way home and won’t return.
Atmosphere: Wanting to enjoy the last warm nights of summer, we sat on their small patio. It was extremely hard to enjoy the subpar food. Every time I opened my mouth to take a bite, I inhaled a cloud of smoke. Every table and patrons along the rail were smoking the entire time we were there. Also seems as though they only had 2 waitresses for the entire restaurant. I wanted another water with my meal, but finished dinner and sat around for another 10 min before the waitress came around. Ended up having to go to the bar to ask for the check.
The food: Shrimp cocktail was unpleasant. The Noci was very bland. The Chelsea Chicken Salad was disappointing, the spinach was hot and wilted from the chicken, hardly a refreshing crisp salad — might as well ordered chicken breast with cooked spinach. The Garlic Chicken was okay — though nothing to come back for.
Definitely not worth $ 64 or gas if this is out of your way.

Really, truly love this place. The food is always amazing and the atmosphere feels like home. My husband and I spend our date nights here because we know that the food will always be impeccable and the service will never disappoint.
Recently got the fried shrimp and they were cooked to perfection. Hubby got the prime rib and it was a beautiful cut cooked exactly to his liking (medium/​medium rare). He usually gets the lamb which is just out of this world amazing. We also took the homemade hazelnut cheesecake home for dessert and it was decadent without being too heavy or filling. It was a great way to cap off our night and I’m looking to coming back next month.

I’ve been hearing good things about this place forever and tonight I finally got to try it! What an awesome dinner. Started with the Garlic Bread Fondue for $ 7.95 which was KILLER. I had the Seafood Salad for $ 15.95 which was served cold with scallops, shrimp and calamari served over greens with their house-​made Garlic Lemon Dressing. It was very good. My BF had the Friday Pot Roast dinner which came with salad, potato & veggie for like $ 13.95. It was tender and had a deep rich gravy. Our waiter was Mike-​who was just awesome! Very friendly, prompt service, knowledgeable on the menu, made great recommendations, just a wonderful addition to our meal. Bread Pudding $ 6.95 was yummy and big enough for two! Grand Ambiance it’s not, with a bar and lounge dining area it looks very out-​dated, but it’s more spacious inside then you’d think from the windows out front. They also have a small outdoor sitting area as well. The beach is a block away so great location. I would definitely come back, the menu choices were endless I had a hard time deciding on what I wanted to order! Guess I’ll HAVE to go back to try EVERYTHING!

Awesome food and huge portions. I love that everything is made in-​house– it reminds me of my bay area slow food restaurants. Some notable delicious things: stuffed artichoke hearts, super hot buffalo burger cooked to perfection, and fresh juicy deli meat.
Really, the best burger I’ve ever had. I can’t wait to come back and try other dishes!
The waitresses were all really sweet and friendly, but our waiter was slow and aloof :(

Just went to this restaurant for the upteenth time today. Food was decent. Service left something to be desired.
The most aggravating thing was the last line on the guest check stating that the recommended tip was 18% and then told me what dollar amount it worked out to be. TACKY AND DEMEANING!
Just as an FYI– I normally tip good service at least 25%. Since your establishment is so intent on basically telling me what to tip, even out of this world service will get no more than your recommended amount-​if that!

Can’t go wrong with anything on the menu! Staff is extremely friendly and worth any wait! By far one of my favorite places around!!!

Not that good.
I’d heard people rave about this place, so I’m pretty disappointed.
I had a parma melt. The sauce was overwhelming and not great. If you can’t do a parmigiana right then there’s not much hope.
Very dated interior. Don’t they like to spend money on making things look good?
Drinks were good and the waitress was lovely, they each earned a star, but I won’t be going back and won’t recommend it to anyone.

A friend mentioned this place, so we decided to stop here for a late lunch. We sat at a table near the bar and were warmly greated by the hostess who said our server would be with us shortly. Our young enthusiastic male server greated us quickly and assisted us with explaining their specialty drinks. We opted for their Savin Sangria, which he guaranteed was on the stronger side. The drink did not disappoint.
We ordered the Captains Cake, which combined a variety of seafood and was formed into a small flavorful patty. It comes with tarter sauce, which, in my opinion, isnt necessary because the flavor of the patty can stand alone. All I did was squeeze some lemon on it and enjoyed.
We liked the ½ order option on their menu. There were so many choices, we took longer than usual to decide. I did see a very large sandwich that someone ordered and was surprised at the portion size. I then asked our server if all the sandwiches were similar in size. He said «Yes.» With that I ordered the ½ portion meltdown with a side of fries. The wifey ordered the ½ portion of the Savin Chicken.
I was initially disappointed when my sandwich arrived because it was no where near the size of the other sandwich I had asked about. According to our server that’s the normal portion for what i ordered. Oh well, I didn’t make a big deal over it. The chicken dish was visually appealing when it arrived.
I was satisfied with the flavor of my sandwich. The french fries were large and, as my wife said as soon as she tried one «Meaty.» I enjoyed the crispy outside and the generous portion. The chicken dish will not disappoint. She ordered the chicken over angel hair pasta. The flavors were pleasing to the palate.
Overall, we enjoyed ouselves. Its a bonus not taking home leftovers. We will be back to check out one of their advertised house bands.
