Your experience at this location will be based on 2 things: Your waiter/waitress, and the cook. The menu always has the classic Danny’s staples which we have always enjoyed, but it is always evolving to stay fresh, current, and relevant at a reasonable cost. Most of the waitresses are good, personal, and friendly. But there are 1 or 2 that may get under your skin and should really try a different type of job. The food is usually good. Sometimes it’s excellent. Sometimes it’s just okay. And I’ve learned that the quality is based on Who is cooking when you go. It’s usually good but not consistent. This place can get busy, and sometimes there’s a wait that is ridiculous, i.e. Sunday mornings, but you takes your chances. I do visit here often for both dine-in and take-out. Overall good experiences with the food and the staff!

Visited the Deny’s on Sawmill Road for Veterans Day, and the manager refused to help a veteran find something to eat who has a gluten allergy. He only was able to offer the«sides» for the main portion and became angry when he discussed it. Poor management style, and not a recommended place to go.

Solid Denny’s restaurant here. Always great service by super friendly staff. Even the manager Paul is a sweetheart! Hands down our family’s favorite Denny’s location in the state. Extra props to our awesome waitress we ask for every visit, Ariel. And yes, just like her name implies, she’s a real angel! Love her! Let’s face it folks, when you’re craving Denny’s…it has got to be the real deal«Denny’s» to be legit!

Now I’ve been here plenty of times before and absolutely love the nachos! However at my most recent visit 2÷27÷15 I ordered the Baja quesadilla burger, it wasn’t horrible but not anything that good either. The kicker was when we got home and several hours later everything was coming back up. Alas food poisoning had struck and continued for 3 days. So maybe avoid this place for a little while until they fix whatever is going on in the kitchen.

Not my favorite but the service was great. The waitress was friendly and attentive. The manager also came by to just check on us. The food came out quickly and the meals are affordable. I ordered a build your own scramble. They got the order correct and it was piping hot when it got to the table. The children’s meal was a decent size as well. It’s a decent meal when you are looking for something quick and inexpensive.

For what I was expecting, I am giving htis place 3 stars. It was clean, the service was friendly and accurate and the food was hot. Portions aren’t too big for the price but the desserts more than make up for this. The chicken finger meal is $ 11 and you get only 4 strips and 2 sides… I think that’s kinda high considering most places will give you more for that same price. But a brownie sundae for $ 2.99 that will knock your socks off will make me go back, even if just for desserts after the kids’ soccer games or track meets. The brownie is delicious… chewy, fudgey and has chocolate chips in it. It comes with a generous scoop of vanilla ice cream and drenched in hot fudge. Did I mention it’s only $ 2.99??? I was expecting a tiny, mini shot glass size for that price but this thing was big enough to share. I was also expecting the brownie to be some awful, low budget boxed brownie that you can find at the dollar store but I was completely wrong!!! SO for the food, there are enough other places you can go to get what Denny’s offers for a better price and portion size, but come here for the desserts. They have a nice variety of choices and they are all under $ 4!!!

This is probably the best Denny’s in America. It could simply be that we go there so often that they treat us with favor. I think that when considering this Denny’s you must compare it to other Denny’s. Denny’s in general is not the most amazing restaurant or diner in America by far and I have been angry every time I have left with the exception of this one in West Haven. That said, the servers are pleasant, the food is good. I have never had a problem with a mistake in my order or with food arriving cold. The place is a little bit lowbrow of course but it is a great place for those midnight pancake and egg or apple fritter a la mode runs. I think they do their best work after 10:00 pm.

This convenient Dennys is right off 95N. But, don’t do it to yourself. The service was so slow, we had to track down the waitress for everything! The food was bland but I wasn’t expecting anything fantastic from a Dennys. What I also wasn’t expecting was the stomach ache after the food. I was so nauseous and sick. Never again!

Just went there for breakfast this morning, probably the forth time I’ve been there. I ordered a Grand Slam — of course, and it was really delicious. The eggs were cooked perfectly, the pancakes were nice and fluffy, and the bacon was nice and crisp. Everything tasted great. Plus, our waitress was extremely nice and courteous. The only gripe I may have was that service was a tad on the slow side. Other than that, I recommend Denny’s for a great breakfast.

You messed up my order last time(but I didn’t complain, so I won’t make a big deal of this). You serve worse food and smaller portions than IHOP, but you are open 24 hours, so that is why I go here sometimes… but only around 3am!

We ate here for breakfast so I can’t really say that it’s the best scramble eggs or bacon I’ve ever had, but what made our experience enjoyable was our super friendly waitress. I can say though that their new pancake puppies were oh so good! It’s shaped like hush puppies but it was made of pancakes. The puppies are coated with cinnamon and it comes with syrup… YUMMY! I also had the heartland scramble which was good, but I still prefer the heartland that I had in Big Island, HI because I preferred the way that they prepared it. The Denny’s in HI hashed it all up instead of it looking like an omelet. I just can’t have omelets because It gets me nauseous for some reason. My mom and boyfriend ordered typical breakfasts which consists of the usual egg and meats so nothing really special to mention there. All in all our breakfast experience at this Denny’s was a good one, and if we all had waitress service like the one I had at this Denny’s, then other restaurants may have gotten more stars.
