Two of the past two times I’ve been here, the latest 6/26, they’ve ran out of whipped cream. Thank goodness I had cheesecake from the Cheesecake Factory. I used the extra whip they use and put it on top of my frap.

This is my favorite Starbucks to go to whether I am in the area or not. The staff is by far the friendliest and most professional than other Starbucks stores. Everyone there knows me by name and greets me with a smile when ever I walk in. Staff is helpful as I lost my phone once and a barista took time out of her break to help me find it. The drinks are always amazing as some Starbucks locations give sloppy coffees, or other drinks. 5⁄5 would recommend

The staff was underwhelming, with one barista that was outright rude. I had company from Minnesota here, and when she placed her order the barista rolled her eyes at a special request for only 2 pumps of syrup instead of 3. You would have thought she made some insane, never-before-heard of request. I was very embarrassed and would have cancelled the order and walked out but there was no other place open at the time. I will never use the location for personal or business use again. Very surprising for a Starbucks.

They need more cashiers on morning rushes. With only 3 people in front of me I’ve already waited over 10 min. Love Starbucks love the staff but clearly they need more support

The service here seems to be really hit or miss, but lately it’s been mostly miss. On a very busy Saturday, they were training the employees — by employees who were barely trained themselves. When they overcharged me, they couldn’t figure out how to give me a refund, so they gave me a «customer experience card,» which didn’t credit back to my Starbucks card. I ended up ordering a second item using the app. When I went to pick up my orders at the counter, the barista said«the app orders aren’t my problem». Reminds me of what JFK used to say about Washington DC — southern efficiency, northern hospitality. No wonder Starbucks isn’t doing well in New England!

Freezing inside Oven not turned on so nothing can be warmed up Really not enjoyable I would expect a place where you do not have to wear a winter coat– inside!

I will say that in the last year, the staff has gotten a lot nicer. That said, I live down the block from this location and refuse to come here. This morning I just needed a coffee and dropped by. When I came in, there were 5 people in front of me. It took me over 20 minutes to get my drink. Also, they made my drink wrong. But I was already late for work so I didn’t have time to really dispute it. The funny thing is that I know this location has an issue with getting drinks done correctly and giving them to you while still warm(or frozen), but the Barista repeated my order back to me exactly. And when my order was ready, it had evolved into something else. It’s just really frustrating because I’ve stopped going to Starbucks because of this location and now my days suck just a little bit more.

The pros: The staff is always super nice and many remember my name and what I order. The drinks are mostly made the way I like them. The cons: This is such a busy location that the line is always out the door. As a result of catering to a high volume of clients, things like the floor being swept are often overlooked. It’s not to fault the people who work here. They’re always working in super speed and trying to get through the line. This location needs to hire more people and change up the machine stations to be able to accommodate an additional barista. I bet it would pay for these upgrades with the sheer volume of customers.

The staff generally prepares all the menu item drinks well; the store is usually well kept however the case of food items is never full when I have gone and I have yet to order anything from it as nothing looks fresh. The Justin”s Peanut Butter Cups are delicious but highly overpriced. I found the same package at Stop & Shop for 1.49 compared to their $ 3+ The bathrooms are clean and the Dyson dryer is always nice. For such a small, narrow location, this Bucks is pretty good all around.

This Starbucks has the feel of a small town coffee shop. It’s small, cozy, and has incredibly friendly staff. There’s one large farmhouse table in the seating area, with a few other small tables and armchairs sprinkled about. It’s a good place to study or meet a friend for a quick conversation. There’s plenty of benches on the street outside, so it’s a great place to grab a drink right before spending time outside in the spring or summertime. All parking is metered street parking, so be sure to pay the meter before heading in.

This is one busy Starbucks. Unfortunately it’s not because they’re rocking it. Instead, the line often snakes out the door as the barristers move from the register to making your drink, to doing something else, to returning to the register to process your card, to something else, etc. They seem to have enough staff here, but something isn’t working — most of the staff are doing things that seem very unrelated to getting people their drinks. The seating is reasonable although it’s a small location, so those lines will probably be snaking around your table.

I can’t say this is my favorite Starbucks location. As someone who worked at Starbucks for many years, I must say that inept baristas are completely unacceptable to me. I ordered a tall, non-fat, no-whip white mocha. An easy order to fulfill, during a time when it wasn’t very busy. The white chocolate syrup is very dense, and the espresso needs to be pour directly atop it, and swirled before the milk is added in order for it to mix with the milk. Alas, this did not happen. I tried to swirl the drink around myself, as I knew that this was the reason my drink tasted like a latte and not a white chocolate mocha. The milk wasn’t hot enough to correct the flaw and mix it all together, and as predicted, once I got to the bottom, all of the white chocolate sludge was leftover, leaving the last three sips borderline diabetes inducing. Very, very disappointing.

Starbucks is Starbucks is Starbucks. Same old long lines, even mid-late afternoon. Great location but tough to park! Tiny benches to sit at outside, but they are whipping up seasonal specials like pros. I still prefer J Renes, or Hartford Baking Co. But if you’re spending time in West Hartford Center, don’t forget to feed the metered parking even if you’re just running in to get a coffee.

Meh. I went into Starbucks to kill some time today. I ordered a latte. Before taking my payment, the guy behind the register scampered over and began making my drink. He then came back a minute later and silently accepted my credit card and then walked away to finish making my drink. I am not sure if maybe he felt this was faster, or more efficient, but it made for a fairly awkward customer experience.(Note: I was the only person in line and there was more than 1 employee/barista behind the counter.) The latte that I eventually received was so-so, it tasted somehow off or nearly burnt? I am not sure about this visit at all. Weird.

This one is a good place to relax. Comfy sofas, patio seats, great ambiance. Only downside is that is gets very busy throughout the day and it’s hard to find seats. Gotta love my Frappes!

Since I’m in the Starbucks is greater than Dunkin Donuts camp I like to come here for a warm drink on a cold day. It’s a small location but not prohibitively so.

A busy typical Starbucks coffee shop. Small but the employees are able to handle busy times as I’ve never had to wait too long in line. I’ve always had accurate orders and things have always come out a-ok!

Stopped by here after a run at the West Hartford Reservoir on a recent Saturday morning for a caffeinated treat. Luckily I must have hit it just right as I did not have to wait very long in line nor for my order. After my experience, I agree with the other reviewers. This location is small so there is a very good chance that if you go on a weekend(like when a run at the local Fleet Feet ends) be prepared to wait. There are many seating options but again if you come at a peak time you might have to take your order«to go» as well as bob and weave among the many strollers that come in and out of the store. I also noticed while waiting for my order that in addition to their«regular» coffee varieties this store was brewing several«reserve» varieties. I had never seen this before but maybe because of the economic demographic of it’s patrons, this Starbucks can brew and sell more of these specialty coffee varieties. No complaints here — another great location!

Completely put off by the snotty staff first thing in the morning. Me: good morning. What flavors do you have for iced coffee? Barista: we don’t have flavors, we’re not like Dunkin Donuts. We can add any flavored syrup to coffee. Me:(oh, so it’s going to be like that. Ok, child, let’s do this) oh silly me. Which of your flavors are unsweetened? Barista: they’re all sweetened. Me: so you’re not like other Starbucks either? Barista: we have sugar free syrups. Me: that will have to do. I’ll take a sweetened, sugar free iced coffee. Barista: what size? Me:(grinning wickedly) 16 oz. Barista: do you mean grande? Me: I must. Thank you.(Step towards register) Cashier: don’t be fooled by sugar free. It’s sweeter than regular sugar. Open letter to Starbucks baristas and staff: let’s always play your condescending language games at 6:00 am. It’s more energizing than your burnt coffee. Further, I’ve drank enough coffee in my life to be qualified to order one at a corporate chain establishment.

I went to Starbucks this morning not for a cup of Joe, but I went there for their spinach, feta, and egg white wrap. Though it obviously was premade and heated, I got it quickly after my order considering it was a busy Sunday morning. It was tasty and filling. I also got a petite vanilla bean scone. The cashier, excuse me, barista, was very welcoming and was far from the condescending, artsy fartsy hipster I’m used to seeing at any coffee shop. In comparison to other Starbucks, their baked goods selection has much more variety. I don’t always see the petite scones, but again, there are a lot of skinny West Hartford SAHMs(stay-at-home moms) who visit there and I can’t imagine them ordering a sweet treat. Speaking about skinny women, don’t go there when a yoga/zumba class or a running group has just ended. You will feel like the fattest person in line… lol! For some reason, it seems like people bring their babies and toddlers to this location. Why? I’m sorry, but I don’t find a Starbucks a place to bring kids for them to scribble on their coloring books. All the strollers inside creates a potential fire trap. I don’t recommend studying at this location. If you want to study at a Starbucks in West Hartford, I would go to the Albany Avenue location anytime after noon. This location is just fine if you just order and go. The line moves pretty quickly.
