I love this place! The wait is way less than Boiling Crab and the food is still superb. I came here with my boyfriend and we ordered a pound of white shrimp he got quail eggs added and steamed rice on the side and I got the garlic Cajun fries. When the food came out the shrimp were in a bag of steaming hot oil but that was fine because that just means it took longer to cool down.(I hate when my shrimp and the sauce cool down so quickly). Once we finished that I was still hungry so we ordered some oysters. The most I could get at the time was 4 for 2 dollars each and let me tell you those oysters were so good and fresh!!! I seriously recommend this place plus they have great desert!

My second time here and came here for a nice sport filled Valentine’s dinner, beer and the NBA all star game. As the name insisted, we came for crawfish and yes, it just stanked. Fresh crawfish doesn’t necessarily mean they’re healthy. The first batch of 3 lb crawfish were mushy and black :/. I informed the manager and they offered to replace it or refund it back. We opt for the replacement, and the first batch the ratio of good crawfish was 1:5, the second batch was probably 1:3 that were edible and not gross. It doesn’t help that the broth/sauce was scorching hot, so while i was peeling these crawfish, I’m pretty sure I burned my thumb and index finger… The manager could tell we weren’t happy and said we didn’t have to force ourselves but we came here for crawfish and it doesn’t help I’m a little stubborn. Well now for details, we got the spicy stinkin option, the spicy is just pure chili oil so beware. On top of the 3lb crawfish, we got a michelada with a modelo, stella rosa, garlic cajun mango habanero fries, and bacon wrapped jalapenos. The michelada was pretty good, reccomend The garlic cajun mango habanero(4.99) was good when fresh but its pretty much glazed and thick fries, not dry. The bacon wrapped jalapeño poppers, wouldnt reccomend, the bacon was way too crispy, take one bite and everything just falls apart, the color was close to black, very dark. Overall, its a hit a miss here, the crawfish was disappointing, the manager handled it alright. he gave us a 25% discount on just the crawfish, so our total came out to be $ 55. not the best for a disappointing Valentines meal.

They would have earned 5 stars if they had better service. The food is great I had a pound of white shrimp, potatoes, sausage, corn, clams, crab clusters and mango habanero fries. Unfortunately they barely ever checked on us and we ordered a catfish plate as well and they completely forgot about it. I go back for the food not the service.

Great service and good food. Enjoyed the meal I ordered very much. Will definitely be returning to see what’s good with that HAPPYHOUR!

We went here and was able to catch the end of Happy Hour which is always good for our pockets! Drafts were $ 4 and they had some good options starters, like $ 2 Cajun fries which were great. It took a long time to get our order but they were accommodating and offered us a complimentary dessert. My one qualm is that they took the heads off the tiger shrimps… everyone knows that’s the best part!

Found this place on Unilocal.Reviews compared the flavors to Boiling Crab. Definitely not the same. Their sauce is more«tomato-y,» which I was not a fan of. The best part about this place was the garlic fries. Everything else kinda tasted pretty bad. I really wanted to like this place, I really did. Guess I’ll have to bear with the 2 hour wait at Boiling Crab from here on out.

This place is amazing. Service is very good and the food is very tasty and delicious. We ordered the tiger shrimp with the special sauce, garlic butter fries, wings, calamari, lobster and beer. Great combination I have to say it a great spot to bring friends or love ones.

Very good service! One of the cheapest Cajun restaurant ever but it doesn’t damper on the quality. I usually HATEFROZEN crawfish but it was cool just right to keep the great texture and the sauce is very good. Only criticism was because the oyster were TINY! to be fair it as $ 1 each during happy hr, but it’s not worth it if it’s that’s small, instead get the scallops! Still $ 1 but sweet me tender.

Too much oil slime in a bag. It’s not for me. If the seafood was strained from all that mucky oil then it would be a bit better. It’s too much of a mess for me. Then the flavor is missing. I took my food home and removed the shrimp from the slimy bag and placed It in a pan and seasoned it. It was a lot better. That’s just my experience. Everyone else looked to be enjoying their bag of oil. In a nut shell — gross and very slimy. Update 6 hours later. This food is giving me the runs. Seafood is quick in letting you know when something doesn’t agree with your stomach

Combo in stinkin special sauce comes with shrimps, mussels, clam, corn, and sausages. The shrimps and seafood was cooked perfectly; not over cooked, it was plumped and delicious. The sauce was awesome! It was not too oily nor too salty like others restaurant. Oysters were fresh and served on a bed of ice. Fried catfish had perfect crispy outside, moist tender inside and seasoning was different but pack a punch. We had to order a second basket, it was so yummy. Be aware though, it is serve piping hot. Sweet potatoes fries was so light and fluffy, it is so addictive, can’t stop stuffing my mouth with it. Good thing it comes in a generous portions. OMG they take good service very seriously here. Let’s put it this way, I brought my mom, who is the world pickiest critics when it comes to services, and she gives them an A plus for service. Complimentary fried Oreo was the final touch and it satisfies every little taste buds in my mouth… YUM!

Came back to read some reviews since the last time I came and also noticed more people wrote about how the manager/owner was mistreating employees, similar to my last experience. I will not be returning. That behavior towards your employees speaks volumes about how you run your establishment. The fact that it is an ongoing thing is disgusting. I hope your employees find better places to work.

Was looking around to try a new place out on Unilocal and ended up here. It was a Sunday night and the wait for 2 was around 15 – 20 minutes, which was not bad at all. The place was pretty small though. We got seated fairly quickly, at a table close to the kitchen. And this is where it alllll began. We sat down and someone got our drinks right away. And so a waitress comes and takes our order. She was very helpful answering our questions as this was our first time. She took our order and I leave to the restroom. Only to come back to find out the manager(Kevin) I assume?, is yelling loudly around our table asking who took our order. I can clearly hear this guy getting upset at the girl(waitress who took our order) that she didn’t tell us about the 4 order minimum for the oysters(we ordered 2). So he comes up to us and tells us about the minimum, and we tell him that we were not notified of it, and he just goes, «it’s fine» and runs away. Okay, cool. Whatever, right?.. P. s we never saw the waitress that took our order for the rest of the night after the incident. Fast forward throughout our meal, I hear this guy yelling at his employees once again. And again. And again. I heard him tell one of the employees«can you get it right next time? They wanted this not that blah blah» Basically, ¾ of the time we heard him scolding his employees. Which was very annoying and rude. Like seriously? At least keep it down or take it to the back. I have worked at a restaurant before with bad management that does not treat their employees well, and it is not fun. He has to realize that customers can hear him and it was not very pleasant to hear that during our meal. Food was great, we enjoyed everything. I just hope we don’t get a table near the kitchen again.

Came here for dinner it was packed. The staffs are friendly and polite. Great service. Ordered crawfish with stinkin special flavor which is good but a lil too much garlic. Buffalo wings good. Free dessert.

We decided to check this place out be size Boiling Crab is always way to crowded. I can honestly say that they have a new contender. This place makes really good Cajun shrimp. I spoke with one of the owners and he said their chef is actually from Louisiana. So you’re actually eating authentic Cajun food. Since our discovery, we normally just come here now since the wait isn’t as bad as boiling crab and I definitely prefer it over the boiling crab. I have recently been back to BC and that place is just too salty for me now. The Stinkin Crawfish is not overly salty at all and they make their sauce by the order and not a large batch. So you can tell them how thick or how liquidy you want your sauce. I prefer it on the thicker side. So that’s how I always order it. The only downside I’ve had with this place is that their catfish isn’t always fresh and sometimes their shrimp is overcooked. Make sure to try their garlic fries and chicken wings. It’s delicious. Their calamari is amazing too. And at the end of your meal, you get a delicious fried Oreo. You don’t have to wait for the fair to come around once a year to have it anymore!

The«stinkin» sauce is inferior to the boiling crab and kickin’ crab sauce. Too salty and lacks a balance of spices. My boyfriend had the fried catfish, which was good. The one thing I do want to point out about this place is the manager. He was speaking very condescendingly to one of his servers at the bar, in front of guests at the bar and in front of guests seated near the bar. You could see on her face that she was embarrassed and felt ashamed as he was being a total dick to her. Like, dude, if you’re going to lecture her, one, take her away from the ears of your customers, and two, don’t be such an ass. Your staff are an important part of your establishment, treat them right. When they do something wrong, they do not deserve to be made a fool of in front of guests. They deserve a firm talk and warning in a professional way. I will not be returning.

This place is so delicious. Third time visiting and it just keeps getting better. I’ve tried a lot of Similar restaurants, but this place tops my list, because of its freshness & impeccable customer service. The fried Oreo of course isn’t bad either. The oysters were soooo fresh! Hope they open a restaurant closer to downtown LA so I could eat more often.

This place has very decent food – namely, their FRIES! Light and crispy on outside, soft and fluffy on inside… and the flavors are explosive! Bf and I tried the garlic cajun and the lemon pepper, which were both absolutely amazing. It makes me want to try their wings and other flavors as well… definitely a must get while you’re there! The seafood is also pretty tasty – we got a whole mix of stuff in the«stinkin’ special» sauce, which has a mild spicy flavor – it gets spicier as you eat it! Some of the clams had sand in it, though thankfully, not all of them did and they were of good size. The mussels were delicious and we got really messy digging into the bag for them. The shrimp was good too, though I feel that they were a bit mushy due to being pre-frozen. Overall, everything was tasty and service was good. The only note I’d have to say is that the sodium level – like Boiling Crab – is through the roof! I had dry mouth syndrome and was drinking tooooooons of liquids for the rest of the day, so be warned!

This place is stinkin awesome! Took my mom for her bday lunch and Derick took excellent care of us. The food is great. Garlic butter sauce is garlic heaven. Lemon pepper is great and their signature stinkin special sauce was soooo yummy. Shrimp size were big, clams and mussels were decent as well. We had dessert all around on the house. What more can you ask for?

I’m a huge fan of this style of food and getting down and dirty with my seafood! Great music and wonderful service tonight paired with the large amounts of seafood made for a great meal! Went with the special sauce spicy level for all! Amazingly good flavors. Shrimp — a few mushy ones but mostly on point. Mussels– amazing Clams– all empty shells, had the search the bottom of the bags for the meat :-( Sausage– delicious Potatoes– wasted filler… focus on the seafood lol. Corn– great! Crawfish– so not worth the time… glad these bugs were part of the combo otherwise a huge waste of money. Snow crab — crisp shells for great cracking, large legs full of meat! 3 of us on a mission to hurt ourselves ordered 2 different combos and 2 lbs of crab. The carnage we left was reward enough!

Being from the south I never miss a chance to try a new Cajun seafood spot and this was the first one that popped up near my house when I started my search. Walking into this establishment I felt like I was going to have a great experience. We were greeted as soon as we walked in and seated right away. There was three of us so we decided to try the stinkin combo which had a little bit of everything crawfish, shrimp, mussels, and clams. My boyfriend ordered and extra pound of crawfish but the owner explained to us it wasn’t in season so he offered is shrimp no big deal. He was super apologetic and also offered to buy my boyfriend a beer. Too sweet! It took about 20mins for our food to come out but it was worth the wait the seasoning was really good and it had a huge kick! To top it off they gave us a fried Oreo and ice cream for dessert! Omg talk about a Foodgasm! Overall it was a great experience, just wish crawfish was in season:(
