This place is amazing. Service is very good and the food is very tasty and delicious. We ordered the tiger shrimp with the special sauce, garlic butter fries, wings, calamari, lobster and beer. Great combination I have to say it a great spot to bring friends or love ones.

Honestly amazing tasting food and great service. Unknowingly my boyfriend had fraud on his card at checkout and the waitress was more than helpful about this whole situation. Very sweet girl, I would Defenitley come back and recommend this place to friends and family

When I had to choose where to eat with my friend, it was a choice between the Garlic Crab, and a burger place I had a Groupon for. When we walked in I was surprised it was so empty, only table sat other than us, so I prepared for the worst. I was pleasantly surprised to find out that when you check in here on Unilocal, you get a free order of fries, what a score! Not only that, but for $ 7.99 a pound for shrimp, the risk was pretty minimal, but you know it was actually really good! I loved the shrimp, and definitely the fried banana cheesecake we had after. The real star though was our server Lisa, she was very nice and friendly, and never let our glasses be completely empty. She was beyond great, and if I come back(which I know we will), I’m definitely asking for Lisa!

I love this place! Customer service is decent and friendly. The food is great… The shrimp, sausage potatoes and corn are my fave the flavor of the sauces are on point. I went once and they ran out of rice, and that was a bummer but it didn’t keep me from returning to eat there. Also the wait time is great, I’ve always gotten seated right away. I hate waiting when I’m hungry.

Delicious food and great prices! Our server Lisa was honestly THEBEST waitress we’ve ever had, very attentive and great personality. We’ll definitely be back! P. S. they have delicious micheladas!!!(Lisa’s recipe)

We ended up coming here only because the Boiling Crab was very crowded. This place was pretty empty, so that was not a good sign… The first thing they brought us was old nasty tasty limes, I had to tell them to bring us fresh limes. Also they forgot our rice so they didn’t bring it until we were almost halfway done with our food which was very salty all I could taste on the sauce was salt and butter when I had ordered the lemon pepper plus it had a weird smell… Their service is horrible!!! They don’t come to check up if you need anything else or any refills, the waitress only came by twice to our table to give us a refill and that’s because we had to call her, they need to train these people better. I definately won’t be coming back here!

10 freaking tables were open and very few waiting. Crossed out the name without calling. We were in front of them the whole time. FU! Food calmed down the sneaky evil deed of not calling us. Star up from 1 – 3. Then, one of your chairs has a freaking nail sticking out. It freaking poked my hand.

Like the boiling crab, but possibly better… Better to me for sure because it is never busy(never had to wait to be seated)… I’m a shrimp lover so that’s usually all I get, but I got the crawfish the most recent visit, and it was not worth it for me, too much weight wasted on these mini lobsters that are harder to eat only really have the tail as edible. I recommend getting the seasoning with all the flavors mixed together!

I just recently ate there tonight with my bf for dinner. We were greeted by a couple people asking us if we have been helped. I have came here before and the service was good and as well as the food. Me & my bf tried over a dozen Cajun spots and we wanted to come back here to try it again. Out of all the Cajun spots we have tried I honestly think this was the worst service. A waitress came and asked us if we wanted a drink, and we said yes. I understand that it was a Friday night and may have been short handed. But for them to take about 15 – 20 mins to serve us a draft beer and a piña colada is a long time, and the server asked us what we wanted to order and we were not ready to order. It took them another 20 mins for a different server, that wasnt even ours had to take our order. A couple servers came and asked us if we were okay with everything and when we needed something they would serve us so we technically didn’t have one person serving us. By the time we got done eating it was almost around 840. I had asked A CHUNKYLATINA lady for the check cause we were waiting way too long again at that point. So I had to ask the closest server near us to get the check. AGAIN… 15 mins has passed and she forgot to give us our check. Unbelievable… I never had any kind of bad service at any Cajun spot!!! When i went up to service desk the Latina lady did not say anything ATALL to me… Not even a «hi did you need anything or did you want your check?» She already knew what I wanted she tapped her fingers on the cashier and just handed me the check?! Like really they do not know how to handle the customer service… The owner had asked me if everything was okay and asked if the service was slow cause after we were done PAYING. I HADTOGOBACKTOTHESERVICEDESK, and hand them our check. Never again will I give them my service. I wasn’t going to make a big deal about the situation to the owner… But just know I will not be coming back and giving them my service. I only give them two stars because their food was okay and as well as the environment of the restaurant. Other then that, the service was really shitty. UNHAPPYCUSTOMER.

When you have to flag people down to place an order or request a check you need to either train your crew better or hire more staff. Last time i come here.

This place is basically boiling crab without the wait. When I come here, all the food is delicious and the service is great. I am not a food snob but I would say it is very similar to boiling crab. plenty of parking since there’s a parking garage right outside. I come here when I want to get my shrimp fix.

The staff here are awesome! Hostess was very polite and funny, same for the servers. Service is great and so is the food. Everything was brought out in good time, didn’t have to wait for much. We ordered oysters, lemon pepper wings, Cajun fries, and 3lbs of the shrimp; everything we ordered was delicious!

My BF and I were in the area and had a choice between the garlic crab, boiling crab or stinkin crab and we decided to try something new plus the garlic crab offered free Cajun fries with checkin so why not! It’s located in the same plaza as Edwards theater and sushi damu. There are banners in the front that said shrimp 7.99/lb Monday-Thursday and happy hour specials. When we entered, the restaurant was pretty empty and they were only using the right side near the kitchen. We were greeted and seated right away in a booth. There is no mention of happy hour on the menu and we had to ask the server. Shrimp is $ 11 on the menu but she said its $ 7.99 mon-Thursday all day. Based on the sign outside, it’s also 9.99 sat-sun I think. The décor is not like kickin crab or boiling crab. There’s no writing on the walls, no random sea creatures or ocean stuff around the restaurant. It used to be an Italian restaurant, you can still see the Italian signs on the bathrooms and the pizza oven in the kitchen. The service was good, our server came back to check on us multiple times. The fries were crispy and hot but the seasoning wasn’t very good. We ordered 2 lbs shrimp, humbalung(all the sauces, boiling crabs equivalent of wholeshabang) mild with 6 sausages. The shrimp came out super fast, it was hot, big and fresh but the downside was definitely the sauce. Maybe it’s been simmering all day, but it was SUPER salty. They ran out of limes so they gave us lime juice, which had a funky aftertaste. For $ 7.99/lb, the shrimp was ok. Not great. If they changed the sauce to make it less salty, cooked the garlic longer, i would give it 5 stars.

One of the many Boiling Crab alternatives in West Covina. If you’re looking to go Boiling Crab, but can’t stand the long lines, add this to one of the many growing options. This place is located next to the Edwards Theatres, so you can park across the street in the parking structure. This place is pretty big, plenty of tables and booths for various sizes of parties. The restrooms were very clean and well-maintained. Don’t forget to check in to get a free order of Cajun fries! We decided to get the Dungeness Combo, which came with a pound of shrimp, clams, Dungeness crab, corn, potatoes and sausages. We went with the Humbalung Flavors, which is a combination of all the flavors that were available. The food came super hot. Was it as good as boiling crab? It was not, but it was good. The shrimp and the crab was not as flavorful as Boiling Crab. The fries came first and were a good appetizer to the combo. We ordered the combo mild, but it seemed more towards medium than mild. If you’re not into spicy foods, I suggest going with non-spicy. The service here was excellent. Our waitress was very kind, informative, and checked up on us regularly to see if we needed anything. Overall, I thought the food here was average, but the great service here persuaded me to give them one more star.

Came here on Tuesday night, so it wasn’t crowded at all. Only a few people there, so service was great. We got the 1 lb of shrimp in the«humbalang» style, which is a mixture of everything. When I saw that word, I thought they must be Teo-Chew Chinese folks, which I am too. :) The sauce was so tasty! We checked-in to get the free Cajun fries. They were delicious too. The potatoes were ok. First one was good. Second one tasted a bit bitter. Asking for water meant tap water, so I ordered a Coke. I will give them 5 stars once they give us filtered water to drink. We came late and was surprised to be given the happy hour price! :) Would definitely come again!

As close to Boiling Crab as it gets. Shrimp is always good although sometimes the sauce is a little runny at the night shifts. Mussels are good but are a little dry during the night shift. Fries are always good ALWAYS. Service is always good in the day, but at night(sometimes) they are off their game. All this place has to do is make sure their sauce is not runny, check their mussels before they hit the table and put that sauce on em.

Compared to boiling crab, boiling crab is better. However, if you factor in the long wait at boiling crab, then this is a better option. No doubt boiling crab is better but it is not that much better. I got their combo with the shrimp, crab legs and crawfish. It was a solid meal. We had the combo, sausages, corn and potatoes with beer and we ended up spending around 36 with tip. If you are looking for a boiling crab alternative without the wait, come check this place out. You will be done with your meal by the time your friends sit down at boiling crab

If you’re looking for fresh seafood and great service, turn away and go somewhere else. Came here this evening for their happy hour oysters which were a dollar each before 7p but decided to dine in and try the menu. We wanted a booth next to a TV and got one with no lighting. This waiter with a blond strip of hair thats comb back, looking like a wannabe Donald Trump comes out and finally takes our order but has no patience and leaves without even trying to help us order or give any suggestions. This guy was totally rude. Never followed up on how the food was or if we needed refills. We ended up bugging this other female waitress just to get a refill and she still didn’t get it right. Yes we got the understaff story, blah blah blah. Service sucked and so did the food. Lets get to this stinking food so I can move on with my life. We ordered a set combination that came with a full dungeness crab, 1 pound of shrimp, 1 pound of clams, 2 potatoes and sausage. We got our meal in the bag and noticed the sauce was thick so we poured it out onto the table. Sauce had no butter in it and hardly any garlic. The seasoning sucked so we added lime on everything just to improve the taste. I don’t think anything in this combination was fresh. The crab and the shrimp tasted frozen and old. If you eat seafood like I do you know what freshness is and this did not come close to it. The clams was alright but sitting in the bag of crappie cajun sauce didn’t sit well. If you are looking for: Horrible cajun sauce Non fresh seafood Terrible service Donald Trump hair piece Then this is the place for you.

This was my first time here and it was great! The service is great, all the waitresses are very nice and friendly, especially Crystal. They are constantly walking around and asking if we’re doing good and if we need anything. The food is really good too. We ordered the calamari and, thanks to Unilocal,a free order of Cajun fries for an appetizer, and for the entrée we order the dungeness crab special with an extra lb of shrimp. You get to chose what seasoning and spice level you would like. It all came out pretty fast and tasted really good. For the dessert all the waitresses were recommending the fried banana cheesecake, so we ordered it and it was amazing! We’ll definitely be going back!
