I’m beyond blessed to have found ALE… she is such a master at what she does and always gives me exactly what I ask for. From the moment I walked into the salon, she was very honest with me in regards to what my hair could handle or if I would need multiple sessions to get a color I wanted. She loves what she does and takes pride in all her work. These are just some of the many reasons why I keep going back to her

Cesar was amazing! I’ve never gone blonde before, so I came in with only an idea (and a few photos) of what I wanted, and he took all of it & personalized my color job just for me! The balayage-​ombré work he does is beautiful. Plus, he answered all of my questions about the process and the colors he was using and what was happening to my hair, and never made me feel stupid or annoying, which I was so thankful for!
I would absolutely recommend him if you’re thinking about Red Star Salon!
Other perks: the salon is cute, and all of the other stylist are nice & acknowledging of how your hair is looking, which I don’t usually see in salons!
Can’t wait to come back for my 2^nd session!

This place is amazing beyond belief! Murna definitely made me feel beautiful inside and out! It definitely felt like a pampering. If you do have a living social voucher, the guys is only there during the week, as Murna informed me for next time and very nicely may I say.
She literally took all my negative and listened to me. Needless to say, this was more than your average salon visit.

Virginia did my first ever highlights in my hair and I love it! It looks really nice and it feels healthy. She is really good & I highly recommend this salon! :)

I had an appointment with Myrna, I read she was amazing! So when I arrive I was excited. I was told the wait would be a while so they asked if another stylist would be ok, I was hesitant but was open to it. The stylist’s name is Virgina, an older Hispanic lady. I showed her pictures of what I wanted and she «seemed» to understand. Instead, my haircut looked nothing like what I wanted and when I told Virgina that it was much shorter than I wanted she tried to convince it would look better. I said I was very uncomfortable with the length. I am very unhappy with the outcome.
I will not recommend this place. I suggest that management really oversee their newer staff for more customer satisfaction. I wanted to like his salmon, but this experience was horrible.

Angelie is amazing. She got me to what I wanted and she’s soo cool and really try to get you as close to your pictures. Fixed my hair I got so many complements. If you want some one understand it is angelie!

My first time EVER dying my hair was such a great experience with Angelie. She did an amazing job and even though I was nervous she made me feel comfortable. She really knows her stuff and her confidence made me trust her with my virgin hair. Now, I am loving my hair and everyone that has seen me love my new look. Thank you Angelie for doing such a great job!

Walking into Red Star Salon my hair tone was all kinds of colors dark brown, light brown, and orange. A 911 emergency in a ladies life, that had to be rescued. For me that was not a problem good thing i personally know a PROFESSIONAL hair stylist Alejandra Munoz. Alejandra has always been great at what she’s does from cosmetology school to present. Alejandra is always booked, so i suffered with my hair like this for a while. I consent with my hair like this for a while knowing Alejandra will try her best in accomplishing the hair color a client wants. So SIX HOURS later I’m still at the salon Alejandra is finishing up styling and curling my hair. As i walk out Red star salon I was a brand new SOMBRE SOFT OMBRE BLONDE woman (FLIPS HAIR)
Im writing this review a month later only because it took some time for me to get use to this blonde hair of mine, BUT its been a month later & I’m loving it day by day

Been coming here for years. All of the stylists are very friendly. Nice place. Highly recommend Elaine who has been cutting my hair for 10 years. There is none better.

Alejandra was absolutely awesome I was worried about trying a new place but my son knows her and recommended her. I kept the appointment and so glad I did I love my hair my experience was awesome and she made me feel so welcome n comfortable I will definitely go back. I give her 5 red stars. My highlights and my hair look absolutely amazing. I am a happy client. Go see Alejandra she definitely knows what she is doing.

I came here for the very first time today (I was recommended by a friend) and I can definitely say that it was a great experience!
For the past 8 years of my life I have primary been getting my hair cut with a family friend that lives up in Concord (7 hours away) needless to say I didn’t get very many haircuts, because I’m very picky and scared that someone will severely mess up my hair (whenever I ventured and tried stylist in my area it would always turn out badly).
I spoke to Jose and made my appointment over the phone.
As soon as I came in, the environment was great. I explained to him my situation and what I was looking for. He understood exactly what I wanted and was so sweet and nice about everything!
The cut came out amazing! So yes he’s definitely gaining my trust.
I’ve never dyed my hair before (because again trauma) but I think I might be coming back to him very soon when I build up the courage!
He’s definitely someone I would recommend!

My mom has been going to a specific stylist named Juan, always did my hair amazing for pictures etc. my biggest regret is not coming to him for my highlights. I went to a place in la puente & my hair was so damaged, falling out ! My hair was super long then it went super shortThey left my hair with bleach for 3 ½ hours. It was horrible! I thought I could have not trust anyone else to touch my hair ! My mom suggested Juan & oh god he fixed my hair & always kept in touch to see how my hair was going & it really made me seem like I was family ! Everyone here is super friendly and always ask if you want coffee water etc. The prices here are so worth it ! I love it

My bf’s friend has been raving about Vee for the past few months and he finally decided to go to her for a cut this week.
WOWWWW!!!
Vee is one of the most awesome barbers around. She puts her own spin to customer service and really goes above and beyond. She took her time with him and asked my boyfriend if he usually wears product, etc and actually took in mind what style would work for him. Then she gave him a straight razor shave to clean up all his facial hair. The bf came out looking so HANDSOME!
Prices are good, customer service is great, haircuts are even better. Thanks for helping my man out, Vee!

I came here after being recommended by a friend. I’ve gone from brown to blonde to brown to blonde at least 6 times and have been told that my hair can’t take being bleached anymore. Of course I wanted to go blonde again for summer and so I chanced it and trusted Ale. I’m so happy I did because she is by far the best colorist that has ever touched my hair. Very friendly, knowledgable, and extremely attentive to detail. Not only did she get me the color I wanted but she left my hair in better condition than how I had it when I first walked in. Highly recommend this shop and Ale. The receptionist is also very nice and welcoming. I will be coming back :)

I had a Brazilian blowout done by Myrna. She took me in last minute and on a Sunday! I’ve had brazilian blowouts at two other locations before coming to Red Star Salon. It’s been three months now and my hair is still soft and manageable. Comparing my experiences Myrna has done the best job! I highly recommend her!

I had been going to Jose for for so many years! I’ve never had one complaint about him until now. Never did I think that he would mess up my hair and damage it! I went to him about a month ago and showed him several pictures of what it is I wanted. He seemed pretty confident and said he knew what he had to do to get me what I wanted. The whole process was a disaster! For one I was left under the dryer for way too long. How do I know that? Well the Saran Wrap he used on my hair started to melt on my forehead and ended up burning me! Who puts someone under the dryer with Saran Wrap? Let alone leave them under there for too long! I was still pretty optimistic that my hair would turn out alright. Meanwhile, Jose is trying to work on another client while trying to do my hair. I then noticed he was having a hard time trying to blow dry my hair !! It wasn’t until he was done that I wanted to just cry! Not only was it not what I wanted, but my hair was so damaged!!! It was a Hott mess! Did I mention that this happened on Christmas Eve! I could see it in his eyes that he knew he messed up my hair big time! Usually he compliments my hair and is so proud of his work, well not this time. I am still trying to get my hair back to normal because of all the breakage he caused my hair.
It’s safe to say that I will never be going back. I expected so much more from someone that I had been going to for years!
His one mistake cost me 300 dollars to make it look presentable again.

Myrna is amazing. Best Brazilian blowout I have ever had. Got it done in sept and my hair is still smooth!

I just started going to this salon and I must say that the experience has been great :) I always feel welcomed as I walk into the building. Alejandra has done an incredible job in restoring my hair from multiple colors to a dark violet :)

Went in the first time to dye my hair Red with Alejandra & she did such a good job! She took her time to tone my hair to the color that I wanted :) The second time I went in I did coloring & the Keratine treatment. My hair felt amazing after! Defiantly recommend this place to anyone who is looking for a quality salon.
