Armando does great work! Very kind and really has pride in his work. The salon is very nice and great feel.

Relaxing and well worth the effort. All you have to do is get yourself in and Grace will take care of the rest. Went in for a relaxing skin care session. Grace is very knowledgeable with what she does with absolutely no up selling. She is very caring and sensitive to every situation, but like I stated at the start of this review, you have to make the effort to get yourself in. You will not regret it ~

I love HairByMariela she always does mine and my mom’s hair beautifully. She is the nicest professional hair stylist I have ever had do my hair.

I just got my haircut today by Gabriel. This has been one of the best experiences I’ve had in a long time. I really recommend coming here and asking for Gabriel!

I come here to get my hair done by Gabriel and he saved me from having horrific orange hair! So, that being said, I’ve been coming to him for my hair since then! He has not only kept my hair healthy and pretty, but he has also been able to color my hair this beautiful teal! I’ve never been so in love with my hair!

I found out about this place via Groupon and Groupon is something not worth trusting when it comes to services.
Yes, its fickle and I have had some decent experience but majority of my experience has been not to great.
Salon 531 is def one of the worst exception.
So, I walked into the salon at exactly 10am, I was told my hair stylist has been doing this for over 20+ years and to assure me that have great service and blah blah blah…
ALL lies!
I waited for Ana for about 10 minutes. She hurried and rushed me to wash my hair. she forgot to put a towel on my neck area and got the back of my shirt all wet. She also didn’t let the water warm up and immediately placed it on my head. I was screeched and asked for it to be warmer. She kept rubbing soap into my ears and the sleeve of the shirt she wore kept rubbing on my face!
Next step was getting me to stand up to cut my hair. I never had that happened before?! Than she was suppose to style my hair, and no matter what she did she just added more junk and made my head look lopsided. I ended up just asking her to please stop and Ill fix it when i get home. So I left with my hair in a huge ball of mess and ended up pretty darn furious with my experience!

Everyone must come here. I was blown away how everyone one’s level of skill. If you need your hair done. Don’t go anywhere else. I was especially happy regarding Mariela’s work.
You won’t regret it!

Dante did my color this past weekend… and wow! He is so amazing and is so talented. I came in just to touch up my roots and highlights and I came out of that salon so pleased and with a head of beautiful hair! Dante does wonders with a head of hair. I will definitely be going back to him real soon! Love love love!!!

Mariela did an amazing job on my daughters hair. She listened to what she wanted and my daughter felt beautiful. Mariela is very eclectic and hip to the trends. She is very flexible and always accommodates to fit us in.

I went in to see if they can bleach the bottom of my hair just bleach and they wanted to church me $ 200 that’s freaken crazy so I went down the street to super cuts they charged me $ 50 this place is way to expensive. …

I had the pleasure of Gabriel cutting my hair.
I have been looking for a good haircut close to home and have had no luck until I met Gabriel. I have not changed since.
Gabriel has a way of making me feel very comfortable in a salon setting (which I am not used to, I usually go to barber shops). He is a very skilled stylist, and is also a very personable asset to Salon 531. If you are looking for a nice cut for a great price, I definitely recommend Salon 531, and if possible, get Gabriel.
Came again to get my haircut. This time, the wonderful people at the salon are offering wine while you get your haircut. If there was a way I could give Gabe 6 stars, I would. Thanks again for the great time

I’ve been going to Gabriel for my haircuts for about two years now. He is the only person that finishes with exactly what I ask for. He gives good recommendations but also understands what look you are going for. The salon is a great environment. Go gabe!

Gabriel is such a professional at what he does, I’m always impressed when I get my hair cut by him. You can just tell by his focus and energy that cutting hair is his passion. Not many people can style hair professionally for almost a decade, and still love what they do. Not only is he amazing at his job, but he’s also a really friendly, down to earth person. My hair always looks great after, and I leave in a great mood because all the salon workers are like a little family.

I have only trusted one person with my hair, but I rarely get to see her. My boyfriend recommended seeing Gabe, and boy was I very impressed! Not only is Gabe a total sweetheart and very personable, but he can totally do hair! I will definitely be back, seeing as he is a lot closer.
The ambience of the salon was very welcoming. Everyone was there to have a great time, and definitely kept a smile on my face. Thank you for the great experience… until next time :]

I got the worst haircut of my entire life at Salon531 on Azusa Av.
stay away from that place.

I recently enquired here for a quote after I got my hair done at another salon and they totally messed up my dye and highlights. So I was looking for a «correcting job».
And the result… I LOVE IT! The girl’s name was Cat. She did an amazing job! Totally recommend her.
