Sam took very good care of us. He was our cool for the night. I came here with my family. My kids had fun and enjoyed his sense of humor. I will definitely be back again with friends. The portions were very big and by far better then Benihanas. I would definitely be back again. Great service and great food over all.

Went for an early dinner on a Thursday night, place was very well decorated and spacious. I wanted Hibachi Teppanyaki, it’s been a while. The menus are big, in addition to Teppanyaki menu, the other menu has lots of apps, sashimi and sushi rolls. We ordered spicy edamame and assort sashimi, spicy edamame was bomb, so spicy and tasty. Assort sashimi was fairly fresh, and it was a lot of raw fish for the price they charge, soup and salad were delicious. Teppanyaki entrees: Hubby had filet rare, I had seafood combo. The scallops were so tender, shrimps were alright, lobster tail was so delicious. Hubby liked his filet steak. Both of us liked fried rice. The housemade chili paste was so good, as well as mustard sauce. Food was delicious, portions were huge! I think 2 ppl could easily share a Teppanyaki entrée to have a satisfied meal. Pretty decent Teppanyaki restaurant, might just give it a try sometime if you are in the hood.

Don’t forget to tip your chef.

I absolutely love this place! We come here for holidays and birthdays! This place has the best fried rice. The food is great and the people who work here are wonderful! The customer service alone will keep me coming back here!!! Sam is awesome! Best hibachi grill master ever! Everyone is so nice! The price is higher then other hibachi places but it is worth it! The customer service was great!

Good service and good teppanyaki experience; they give the usual show, but let you go about your business. They let us stay past the closing time on a Saturday night and were not rushing us to leave. Food is allright. The other half of this place is a Korean BBQ.

All the negative reviews on this place were sadly accurate. We came here for a bday dinner during the week. Our party took up 3tables and for the first 20 mins there was only one hibachi chef cooking and he only did 1 trick at only one of the tables. When I asked him to do the egg trick on our table he said no, that he only does one. What the actual fuck! Also when we asked for extra plates and spicy mayo I had to go into the kitchen to ask again and grab the plates myself after waiting too long. We ordered all sushi and sashimi and yet we were not given pickled ginger and wasabi nor a little soy sauce plate. Service sucked and food was sub par. The place was empty except us, they could have given us wa better service!

Looking for a big space that can fill as many people as you want, this is def the place, no problem! Feeding them and making sure everyone is attended to. now there’s where the problem lies! So i had called ahead of time to make sure that the restaurant can serve 24 people and they said it was no problem. It was pretty much Empty, when we arrived tuesday evening at 7:30pm. it was as if i booked the whole restaurant just for my man’s birthday. As endearing and sweet as it sound, i wished they would of been more prepared about having us because they were DEF short staffed. 1 major cook, 1 sushi/host and 1 server for a total of 24 people! The major Teppenyaki cook ended up dancing around 2 tables and not giving 1 table his full attention which i felt was a bit unfair as far as the pricing goes. Another table(the elder table, where my man’s family was seated) didn’t get serve until 30 minutes in! I guess the Sushi chef had to take over because, like i said they were short staffed! As for the 1 server, she was a bit umm… unfriendly. My man had asked for her name and instead of normally answering with their name she said…“why?” and he said so I dont have to say«hey», because its rude. and she said, Well i am the owner server here so you don’t need to know my name! ! WOW! overall, i dont think there is an excuse to be rude and def. not an excuse to be short staffed when you know you will be expecting a big group!

Just a fun time with a great chef(Sam) and good waitress(Lorraine) Really amazing. Our experience was really nice. Skipped out on Red Robbins and decided on this place. Nice greeting from Lorraine. Ordered the New York Steak and chicken special which includes ice cream. Don’t forget your check in offer. A free scoop… so I got two scoops of ice cream. Some things on the menu don’t include the ice cream. Now, for chef Sam. Truly an amazing chef that keeps you well entertained a he preps the meals for us. Our steak was delicious as well as the chicken. Mixed in with bamboo shoots, zuccini, mushrooms… etc… I opted to add the brown rice mixed with the chicken in a bowl for an extra $ 2,00. I really felt this was worth it, because it was a lot tastier then just white rice. We really enjoyed ourselves. I based my review on my experience and not on other reviews. Not bad and already some of my friends have ventured back here. I’ll be back. P. S. Don’t forget to tip the chef for his entertainment as well as the waitress. I almost forgot, like I did at Benihana’s. FYI hours Mon — Thur lunch 11:00 — 2:30 p.m. dinner 4:30 — 9:00 p.m. Fri — Sat lunch 11:00 — 2;30 p.m. dinner 4:30 — 10:00 p.m. Sun Lunch 11:00 — 2:30 p.m. dinner 4:30 — 9:00 p.m.

This review is for tepan grill We went in on a Thursday night at 7pm and it was pretty dead for such a big space. They have converted a few of their tepan grills into Korean BBQ which is a sign that business is not so great. Service was fine we got our drinks soup and salad pretty promptly. The soup was a pretty standard mushroom and onion soup. The salad had a VERY sweet ginger dressing that was a bit of an odd color of orange which was a little concerning. The meat and vegetables were pretty good, the garlic butter they used was again an odd color. The sauces were the absolutely horrible part. They were both unbearably sweet. If you like all of your food very sweet you may enjoy them. Personally I want a ginger sauce to taste more like ginger than sugar. I thought the other sauce was supposed to possibly be mustard but again it was orange and super sweet. Prices were the same pretty much as Benihana/others but the food was not the same quality, they also ask you if you want ice cream at the end of your meal… What they Don’t tell you is that it’s $ 3.50, since they have taken your menu you don’t see it and assume it’s included. The other thing that really bothered me was the music. I don’t want to listen to rap and hip hop while eating dinner on a Thursday, it’s just not appropriate. It’s like they want it to be a cool club type feeling. Almost like a Chomp in Fullerton vibe, they just fall massively short at it. I am going to stick with Habachi Steak House in Anaheim Hills. The food there is not an unnatural color, or will just go to a Benihanas.

If you want to be served and actually eat, DONOT go here! I wish I could give this restaurant 0 stars. We made reservations for 7pm and arrived 10 minutes early. 45 minutes later, no one had even bothered to stop by our table, none the less take a drink/food order. What was even more discouraging is walk-ins were being sat and had their orders taken. We finally had to walk out. On our way out, a server finally acknowledged us and asked what was wrong. After explaining everything to her, she just said okay try to come another time. Why would we want to return? Very upsetting as we were excited about dining here. Definitely will not be returning.

Exceptional service! We were strolling along and decided to come in for lunch. The sushi rolls were creatively named and tasted awesome!!! Great combination of delightful texture and subtle flavor that satisfied my palette. We’ll definitely be back for the steak dinner & that teppanyaki showdown.

Decided to push up my review to 5 stars due to the entertaining and great service. I have been to this location twice at lunch on a Saturday. Service has always been quick and great. If you sit at the grill, I recommend paying the extra for the fried rice. Bacon chicken fried rice cooked with sake: delicious! My main course was the filet mignon medium rare. The meat was jiving and tasty, and went well with the sauces they provide. Lots of veggies were cooked and served on the side, along with soup and salad. I was stuffed with just the lunch special alone. We ordered some calamari and rolls to start, but I could probably do without it next time. Good place to come for a big meal an entertainment. I will return

2nd visit. Both times have been during lunch on a Saturday. Pretty empty, quick service. Sat at the grill for teppan. Our chef(both times) was friendly and entertaining. He knew how to put on a show. You get what you pay for. You start off with appetizers and sushi if needed. Rice is cooked first,($ 2.50 extra though) followed by veggies, and your meat. Had the sirloin cooked medium. Food here is always great. If you sit on the sides of the grill, there might be a chance you get a lot of smoke in your way. This place gets packed at night and dinner. However, this place is perfect during lunch time.

This place has been here for a long time probably since 2005 or 2006 at least. I’ve been here a few times back around that time and I went again after seven or eight years over the Labor Day weekend. The place was empty(which was a first sign that this place probably isn’t great.). We were obviously seated right away and we sat by a grill so we could watch the show. The show was nice and the cook was great. We had fried rice, seafood and steak all cooked in front of us. The food wasn’t bad actually, the scallops were ok, I really like the shrimp which was cooked nicely as was the steak. The veggies were nicely done as well. I ordered sushi(spicy tuna roll and shrimp tempura roll) both were meh(skip it!). The sauces the dishes came with were OK there was a ginger sauce which I didn’t care for and the other was ok. Service was fine, I felt like they kept checking in on us every 10 minutes. Prices are a bit expensive. Place was better a few years ago. Not sure I’d come back, but it’s an OK place.
