Wasn’t blown away by my first visit but after great communication with the owner I am excited to try again!

Wow we were impressed. My peanut free, gluten free, multi allergy sister was in heaven with a delicious GF Pizza complete with her own cutter. It was a delicious veggie & feta cheese Pizza. I had a regular small with sausage, provolone, basil & roasted fennel. It was thin & divine. Service was so attentive! Don’t miss this place. Sadly we live very far away but it made a day trip memorable.

This is my go to place, I always get the santorini salad and all the soups are really good. The pizza is even awesome everything is fresh you can tell. Also Amy is the best she has great customer service and knows me by my first name. She’s always accommodating and friendly.

Came here with Mayur C. and we got two pizzas and ate every bite! I could barely taste the different between the satay chicken and normal chicken and they offered such a wide range of toppings, including different sauces, cheeses, vegetables and meat/meat subs. There are gluten free /vegan options for pizza, too. Outdoor seating is really nice since it’s up on the roof, and I’m sure the string lights make a nice touch at night! BYOB, too!

Great tomato basil soup & pizza. Very fresh, quick & inexpensive. Close to the Chester County Justice Center so perfect while serving in jury duty.

After a brief visit to Iron Hill Brewery, I was ecstatic that I could stop in Couch Tomato for a quick, cheap lunch before leaving West Chester. I’m a huge fan of their Manayunk location. I opted for a small«What about Cobb» for dine-in. I asked for jalapenos instead of the cherry tomato. At one point while waiting for my order I overheard one of the employees say«jalapeño, on a salad?» What a jerk! Why, yes, I put jalapenos on like all salads I make. Is that a problem? I’m also a customer sitting within ear shot. I wasn’t being argumentative, but even if I was, shouldn’t the customer always be right? I forgot the salad came with romaine and just had to suck it up instead of getting some sort of green as my salad base. The salad was beautifully plated, but the ingredients weren’t blended and eaten in isolation. Otherwise, it was to the same standard as my regular order of «What about Cobb.» Maybe that’s a dine-in versus take-out issue. I also found my roll to be a little greasy. When I first walked in, I was wondering why this Couch Tomato’s ratings were significantly lower than the Manayunk location’s. Now I know.

I loved this place the first couple of visits but I can’t recall what I loved about it exactly. I do enjoy the various selections they have but I have issues with the bread they use. I find it hard to eat(too tough and thick) and the sandwiches themselves a bit bland.

We were avid Couch Tomato fans in Manayunk, so we were super excited to hear they were opening a new one when we moved to West Chester. We went here once and we won’t be back again. One of the best parts of couch tomato Manayunk was the amazing service. This location was very slow(off peak hours when we went, around 2 or 3pm) and seemed to be having issues with multiple people’s orders. The quality of food was not as good as the Manayunk location either. We ordered one of our signature wraps and there was barely any chicken on it. There was only a small amount of chicken on the one side. Maybe nit picky but there’s such a noticeable difference from the Manayunk location that we won’t be back.

When in West Chester, this is a GREAT place to grab a quick bite. The food was served fast, the price was extremely fair, and it’s nice to finally see a ton of organic options. People with us eat gluten free and said that this place is the best they’ve had out. The seasonal pizzas and salads were AWESOME. However, the breakfast pizza was our ABSOLUTEFAVORITE!!! The cash register girl mentioned that they’re doing a new curbside takeout now from the rear door of the building! Smart business move!!! Great food as easy take out! GO!!!

When I heard that the Couch Tomato had gluten free options I had to try it. As someone with Celiac’s disease in the family, I am always looking for great places to eat that have gluten free pizza. I was extremely satisfied with my visit, and overall my experience was positive. Their food was excellent and they have so many fun options to choose from.

I came here with Mayur C. after he showed me around his beloved WC area. and he even paid for me aww: D We decided to split a salad and make your own pizza. The cash register guy was really patient in explaining allll the options. It’s a pretty standard menu like salads, sandwhiches, pizza, but there are a lot of options, and they’re accommodating with switching out, etc. It’s a little overwhelming, but if you have a certain taste pallette, it’s prob ok. We got the veggie house special and tried the veggie chicken on top. The chicken wasn’t my favorite. but that’s probably just my taste. The veggies and taste otherwise were great. I was surprised with the size though, on the smaller side. The pizza’s are made fresh, so unfortunately it did take a while. keep in mind if you’re in a rush. We also got the santorini salad, basically greek salad, and it was delish! Definitely nice to have with the pizza. Splitting those two with two people. STUFFED so nvm about my small pizza comment. We sat outside on the roof deck which was super cute. If it were dinner, since they’re BYOB, a delightful place to bring some wine or beer! The lights are so cute. Only sucky part was that we waited up there while the pizza was getting ready, and they don’t have a buzzer thing, or speakers, so we kept having to go downstairs to check if the food was ready. tis ok! Overall, I enjoyed myself, thanks Mayur for showing me this place!

Great little place down town to grab a nice bite to eat. The staff was friendly and the establishment itself was very very clean. They don’t post the menu anywhere so make sure you grab a menu on the way in to avoid embarrassment looking around and asking where it is! I got a grilled cheese and tomato soup. It was delicious. The bread had the texture of corn bread but didn’t taste like it(hopefully that makes sense). Portion sizes were very fair and they have a great place to sit outside on the roof! Give it a go!

This is sad because it should have great. I went in Saturday night. I ordered a large pepperoni with extra pepperoni well done, lite sauce. And a Cesar salad with sodas. I love the New Hope Sodas. The Cesar was great, fresh really good dressing but the croutons were stale. Yuck! Ruined it. The pizza, single pepperoni(I was charged for double) not well done and more sauce then I like. The ingredients were great. But when they are not put together properly who cares. No one came over to ask how it was. We were the only people there. Poor management is my conclusion. Should have been great so I’m doubly disappointed.

I hate writing bad reviews, but when you spend $ 25 on a disappointing meal you’ve gotta release somehow right? I absolutely LOVED couch tomato 6 months ago when it first opened. But my last couple of orders just left me disappointed and angry. I ordered a sandwich with: Turkey, Turkey Bacon, Roasted Red Pepper Spread, Caramelized Onions and Cheddar Cheese. I literally picked through the entire sandwich looking for the cheese.(Still not convinced there was any on there). Also, red pepper spread? The only evidence that there was any spread was actual reminents of some peppers on the bread. Other than that it was undoubtedly the DRIEST sandwich I have ever eaten. I’m talking like I almost choked dry. Next, I ordered a Margarita Pizza on Gluten Free Crust. I love the GF crust here only sometimes, when it’s prepared nicely. Not only was the crust completely soggy, but there was enough sauce on the pizza for a whole ‘nother pizza! To top it off both items were cold upon arrival. I shouldn’t have to heat up my delivery food, especially when I’m only a couple of blocks away. Needless to say, I just want my money back and this love/hate relationship to be over for good. Never Again

I have yet to be disappointed from the folks at The Couch Tomato. I’ve had pizza, salads, soups, and breadsticks and it’s all good! My most recent visit over the weekend consisted of pepperoni cheesy breadsticks, the Fig’in Burrata Pizza and Short Rib Pizza. I would say hold the arugula on the Short Rib pizza but other than that, everything was perfect! The staff is also very friendly and helpful whenever I visit the store or call in an order.

Idk what the hype is about this place. Food tasted like a little kid made it in a hurry and the service was rude and slow.

I don’t know if it’s a trend or something, but pizza has ARRIVED in West Chester. Couch Tomato answered the siren call of a late afternoon pizza craving with a long wait for a single slice of pizza that was rewarded with a lovely rooftop view! The food served at Couch Tomato is alright, but nothing that you’ll day dream about on your way home from work on Friday. I’ve been there twice and the food reminded me of a pizza version of Panera Bread Co. The food was satisfying, but definitely a little too pricey for what I got. The first time I went I got a panini that was good enough, but short on flavor & the second time I got a slice of buffalo chicken pizza that was lukewarm when I got it. Sandwiches and pizza were both good and not great. The wait was long too, but the rooftop is lovely and Couch Tomato, while its definitely not my destination for life changing food, is a decent pick for salacious conversations with rowdy(but not too hungry) friends. CONCLUSION: West Chester’s own pizza Panera quality: satisfies, but doesnt stun. price: again, think Panera bread… a little over priced, but no tears will be shed

I visited the Couch Tomato a few more times for both takeout and dine in. They have corrected my main issue with the takeout that I had before by giving me a much more precise time for the pickup of food. This was a big deal and they fixed it from what I have seen. It is still on the pricey side but I noticed the portion size on the sandwiches seemed to be a bit more than my previous visits. Not sure if this was on purpose or just a luck of the draw but if this is the standard going forward I think the prices that they charge would be considered very reasonable. I am raising their rating to 4 stars based on my last visits. I would say as long as the quality control is maintained I would put them in the upper tier of places.

Something new and different to the borough finally! WC has a ton of great restaurants but many mirror one another in cuisine and design. The couch tomato café is Vegetarian friendly and have gluten free options. Place your order and they bring it to your table when ready. If you want to kill time, stare at the cool New Hope soda machine and ponder how such good tasting colas can be zero calories without chemicals! The food is organic and apparently it’s a BYOB. This will be clutch when the temperature exceeds 20 degrees and I can dine on the beautiful rooftop soon enough! Atmosphere is very cute, keywords: exposed brick. The very long couch resembles a tomato, ironic, don’t ya think? The staff were all outgoing and helpful with ordering. We tried a sandwich, salad, soup and a slice of pizza. The focaccia, was splendid… fresh dense and flavorful. The margherita pizza was kind of bland but the other items made up for the unimpressive slice. The salad had quinoa… awesome. I left impressed by this place and I look forward to trying many more items in the near future! Welcome to West Chester Couch Tomato!
