Courtyard Cincinnati North at Union Centre

I usually stay at the courtyard in the Hamilton area, however they were booked. Got this one for the distance and from the check-​in to checkout everything was great I had the king room it came with a sofa couch and super spacious clean bathroom. The hotel itself surrounds all kinds of shoppery and plus there is a new mall right near by on top of tri county so everything is in 1 miles distance.

I usually stay at the SpringHill Suites in Fairfield when I travel for work. I chose to switch it up this time & stay here since it’s closer to the office. There is no free breakfast, which I guess everyone knew but me. In my opinion, if I have been a rewards member for years & spend thousands a year in different cities’ Marriotts. Give me a free breakfast. A coworker told me that Hilton Hotels treat their guests much better. This is the 3^rd gross hotel I’ve stayed in, in a row. All Marriotts. Mysterious hairs/​blood in the bathroom, used tissues behind the bed, mold. The mold is ALWAYS there. My first night here, I noticed black mold in the toilet (see picture). This is it — my last reservation with a Marriott & I’m switching to Hilton.

This is only place i have ever seen in the 14 years — this
person goes extra mile to take care.
This place –One of the personnel –her name is Libby. She
is super quick, super enthusiastic. I am really touched by
her gestures. She will be in front desk. I have never seen
in 14 years –going and opening the Elevator. This kind of
gesture, other than GOD –someone at higher level should
recognize. outstanding work. I have been going to Marriott
and other places for 14 years– never seen such incredible
qualities –to help/​caring and what not.
This is in a place where it close to I-​75 exit 19. Lot of
restaurants for night dinners also.
We need to ensure these people are recognized. Travis is
another great guy, he is keen on helping-​very professional,
he thinks and talks .
Today this morning Tim made an awesome Veggie breakfast– i
am touched– he is quick to understand Asian Indian Veggie
breakfast.
They had kept lot of wires for other computers and what
not. Well equipped.
bath shower is well maintained.

it might not be in sequence, some of them are exemplary. We
should not forget good deeds.

We stay here every month. We used to stay at the larger Marriot down the road, and now prefer the Courtyard.
Customer service is always a top priority here. Extremely friendly and helpful staff, they go out of their way to take care of you.
Rooms are very clean and the beds very comfortable. I tend to be very picky about pillows. Each bed has 4 different types to chose from. Keep searching til you find the right one!
The breakfast and drink bar is good, but pricey.

Better than acceptable, I was at this Courtyard for just under a week on business, and my stay was pretty decent.
I had a King room, and it was quite a bit larger than what I’m used to in other Courtyard locations, which was very nice. The room included a small fridge, which was helpful — but it was inside an enclosure. Opening the enclosure gave it enough airflow to work properly, but left a wood door to bump in to whenever I wanted to go to the bathroom, or leave the room.
Speaking of enclosures, I was a bit surprised to find that the closet couldn’t accommodate four shirts and four pair of pants. But, the ironing board and iron were useful.
The TV was an okay size, and I was really happy to see that they offer channels like HBO and BBC America. Internet service, while free, is definitely not fast. Kind of disappointing in this day and age, but better than getting slow service that costs ten bucks a day.
Staff seemed quite attentive, and the lounge area is really quite nice. I didn’t see a need to hang out there, but it certainly looks cool.
Really the only negative thing to report is a strange bug spray smell throughout the first and second floors on my third night.

We stayed here recently with my parents as they were in town visiting and our house was having some work done. We were a little worried upon check in due to the number of preteens and teens running around the hotel and lobby. There were baseball and girls soccer tournaments in the area. Fortunately, there were no issues with all these kids other than there didn’t seem to be an adult with some of them while they were in the pool area. The pool seemed small for the size of the hotel. The rooms were nice and clean with a large bathroom. There were fresh cookies in the evening, which the kids liked!

The Courtyard Cincinnati North at Union Centre feels new, which is always nice. The location was decent as it was close to an area with a good variety of restaurants. The rooms use a combo desk and armoire setup, which means there is no built in closet. I like and dislike this setup. I like it because you know you are placing your clothing in an area that can be viewed as clean. I dislike it because this setup is usually a little cramped.
Amenities — HD TV (numerous channels in HD including HBO and Comedy Central), mini fridge, coffee maker, free wifi (decent connection and speed), The Bistro, Paul Mitchell soaps, free parking.
Service — Helpful, cheerful, attentive.
Noise — Quiet rooms due to the older solid structure of the building that is not found in some newer hotels. If you have stayed at a recently constructed Holiday Inn Express you will know what I am talking about.
Overall — A great business hotel for your next trip to North Cincinnati
