We stayed here to attend a friend’s wedding at The Margate back in July. There’s a motel and cottage option; we reserved a cottage so that there would be enough space for two women to get ready for the party. Parking is available for both options, and there’s a great view of the lake no matter what the choice. One parking spot is allotted per cottage. When we arrived, we were given the key and informed that new towels can be requested daily, while linens were changed weekly on Thursdays. The women at the front desk were very knowledgeable and friendly, and made us feel comfortable. The cottage itself was very clean and well maintained — new shower curtain, full supply of coffee cups and other amenities in the kitchennette, and fairly new furniture. The beds were a bit lumpy, but our expectations weren’t all that high. The AC unit could have used an upgrade, but we didn’t need to use it since the temperatures were mild during our weekend stay. The property is in close proximity to the old time arcade and several restaurants(a 1-minute walk) and a pool is available for guest use. I’ll be back next time for more than just an overnighter.

W have stayed in this cottage many times over the years. The only thing missing is a small table. Otherwise a little piece of heaven on a short trip to far away.

For what it is, a quaint location on the side of the hill overlooking the islands in Lake Winnipesaukee, New Hampshire. Centrally located, very well-maintained and clean cabins had everything you needed from a screened-in porch with a view of the lake, to a stocked kitchen and comfortable bed. Everyone in our group love the place.

Just spent a nice night here-off season is the time to go. Everything was neat and clean, service and rates were good. The location was our main deciding factor on staying here. Although we were a stone’s throw from the main strip, most of the businesses were shuttered for the season. It was quiet and really relaxing. Pool was a little buggy, but hey, we had it all to ourselves.

Good, clean motel/cottage. The furniture is new, the place is very clean and it’s right near the boardwalk and Weirs Beach. The pool is also very clean, and deep — 9ft on one side! They have great service and repaired things really quickly. The only negatives were that some cabins don’t have any tables(no where to eat!) and our cabin for 4+ people only had 2 lounge chairs on a tiny patio. The wifi didn’t connect/work(and we heard others complaining about this to the office too). The kitchen wasn’t as stocked as other places(bring a good knife, salt, any larger bowls and serving/mixing spoons etc). Otherwise it’s a nice location and a relaxing setting.

We just stayed at the Half Moon for the Labor day weekend with my sister-in-law and her family. My family(of 3) had a hotel room, my sister in law had a cottage. Yes, the décor is outdated but the room itself was spotless. The beds were comfortable enough. We couldn’t get enough of the view, the pool was clean and refreshing, and the ability to walk EVERYWHERE along Weirs Beach was perfect for us. The other people who were staying during the same time were friendly and down to earth. The staff were helpful, honest(we left behind some very good quality tequila and they had it waiting for us to come back and get it!!), generous to the guests and just a hoot. We will never stay anywhere else when we go to Laconia.

We stayed in the motels, which were recently renovated and looked fantastic. The view from our room was spectacular! The room was very clean as well. We spent a few hours at the onsite pool to cool off and get some sun. This place is the best value in Weirs Beach. We will DEFINITELY be back!
