Great time and service. Taco’s are decent, but the show stopper is the Magisterial Margaritas

I love this place. I’ve been a dozen times or so… it’s casual in every way, but they are fast, and the food is always on point. They make a great Margarita as well!

We have been coming here for 16 years since it was the Nothin Fancy. Little hole in the wall place you wouldn’t expect to have the good quality of food and service you get here. One word of advice is to skip the house margarita and upgrade to the next level. It is well worth it. My son insisted in coming here for his birthday dinner with a friend who has a lot of food allergies and they were very accommodating. A shout out to Heather who has been a waitress here for 17 years!

Worst experience and food I have had at a restaurant in a long, long time. The place was completely understaffed with 1 waitress for 15 tables and 1 bartender. We watched 3 parties be seated and leave after waiting 15 minutes to order a drink. The waitress was completely unapologetic and she didn’t even blink when people got up and left. A hostess was asked by another party if a manager was around and she said there wasn’t… The food here was worse than the service. I got a chimichanga and it was dry and the meat was bland. The beans were canned and the rice was from a box. Anyone could make better mexican food at home instead of spending 15 a plate at this terrible establishment. Don’t waste your money here.

We only stopped in to have an appetizer and a margarita. Service was slow to say the least especially with the amount of staff on hand. Margarita could have been a step up on a virgin. We ordered nachos. I believe a two year old made them. It comes as chips with some cheese on them and sour cream is commercial packets on the side. Guacamole and salsa is in packages on the side. You have to pay for for each of them.

Pretty good Mexican food-good location on the weirs! Would skip the sampler– nothing to be desired. My husband like his meal because you can customize. My taco salad was alright the best part was the shell bowl!

The margarita was very sour and little tequila. The chips were not crispy and no salt. The salsa was sweet with no heat. The cheese enchilada was a big blob of cheese rolled up in a tortilla — terrible. The chicken taco smelled and tasted bad. The re-fried beans were like a brick on your plate and tasteless. Don’t even think about sitting at the corner table by the window in the bar area — it’s for«regulars» aka bar flies(whether they are there or not — a fellow fly is watching).

For bike week, this is the best place for Mexican. To think about it, its the only place for Mexican. The nachos are a cheese heaven. 1st time here they was awesome. The 2nd time, not so much. Kinda looked like an omelet. Lots of cheese & chili, but not many chips.

Gringos was interestingly pretty good considering how busy they were during bike week. We have visited every bike week for the past few years and have had burgers, tacos and the nachos and never walked away disappointed. The service was excellent if you don’t mind waiting

If you’re a biker looking for a place to grab a shot of tequila, it’s fine. If you were thinking of coming here to get some testy Mexican food, keep moving. The salsa was fresh, but sweet… I guess that’s a New England thing. Not what I look for in a salsa. The prices were nuts for a dive like this…$ 15 for a burrito? I found a la carte $ 2 tacos, but was told pork tacos would be $ 4 each so I switched to chicken. The chicken tasted fresh, but bland. No spices you’d associate with good Mexican food… No cumin, garlic… Just bland chicken. Also found out(when I got my check) they charged me a quarter extra for each taco because I got soft, not hard shells. Also, they bring chips and salsa to your table automatically but then tell you it’s a dollar. I just can’t trust a Mexican restaurant that charges for chips and salsa. My girlfriend got chicken fingers with onion rings and we were charged a dollar extra for the onion rings even though it said nothing about that on the menu. Really felt nickeled and dimed. Wait staff was friendly, that’s the only reason they get a 2 star review.

Not the best, but not too bad… The prices were a little high 12 – 15 $ a plate, but some items are ½ price…

I went here for half price burrito night on Wednesday and have never been more disappointed. Their menu burritos were not available for the deal, it was build your own, which everything was added on as a fee. I could have made a better burrito with leftovers that had been sitting in the fridge for a week. Definitely not going back.

It’s outdated and need a good cleaning from the ceiling to the floors. It was very old and run down. I really hate seeing the beer signs everywhere. The service was decent. She was busy so she barely came to us. She also never gave us chips &salsa. The busboy even told her we didn’t want them but that wasn’t true. As far as the food, The chicken fajita was boring and it had no rice which is weird to me. It lacked flavor. They still charge for refills which is crazy to me

Really charging for refills? Like what real establishment does that. The food has massive portions great tasting steak grande. The chips were literally cold cut in half tortillas. The ceiling looks like it has mold growing on it. The service thankfully was great. But I honestly think they might just serve food to have a liquor license. Very overpriced for non-authentic Mexican food. Stay away the place is surely crazy, but not the good kind.

Food was extremely average. They start you off with cold chips with a homemade salsa. I would advice to stay away from the chips because, in reality they are oversized tortilla chips cut in half. For a family of four the price came up to $ 92. BEWARE apparently they do charge for soda refills. I ordered a black bean burrito with chicken&beef and was decent nothing too special. The seasoning on the burrito seemed generic. The interior of the restaurant was horrendous to say the least. Mold on the ceiling, dirty rugs, and flys. Granted we had a very kind waitress who was extremely helpful that is partially the reason why a give this two stars. However, I must point out that the service was fairly quick! My overall rating is two stars.

Man this place was terrible. The chicken fajita was bland and unseasoned, the«tortilla chips» were clearly just Ore Ida taco shells broken in half, served cold. The guac seemed like it pre-made by a vendor. Weak margaritas. The food does not resemble Mexican at all, but rather something a lunch lady might serve on Taco Tuesday. Second star is for our super nice waitress.

The food was pretty good. Started with chips n salsa. I would avoid thus in the future. Chips were giant, hard and cold. The salsa was homemade and tasted pretty good, but very chunky. I had the combo plate with beef taco(huge) a baked quesadilla and a cheese enchilada. Portions are huge and everything tasted good. Taco plate has 2 giant tacos. The soft shells are way easier to handle. My daughter has chicken enchiladas which were loaded with white meat chicken. She really enjoyed them. The one other negative is the high price. $ 16 for my combo plate and overall $ 72 for a family of 4.

Place is delicious. Ordered a small nacho and the plate is piled high. The drinks are very well made and the service is good. Good atmosphere and the place DOESNOT smell bad. The biggest steak burrito is really good. Place is GREATFOREVERYONE all ages.

The only reason I am giving them 2 stars instead of 1 is the fact that our waitress very polite to all end and our service was very swift. Now for the not so good. Our food was a step above awful. Nothing tasted remotely fresh, our food was very under cooked, and you can forget about the concept of authentic. Everything was very bland yet very salt. For some reason my plate came out hot to the touch yet the food on my plate was refrigerator cold. The atmosphere was awful, literally they asked if we wanted dining or bar seating, and when we asked for dining, we sat not even 6 feet away from the bar which was rowdy and loud. I had the impression that the restaurant cared about their bar guests then their dining guests. The food was mildly over-priced too, especially for the quality it was given to us at. I was not impressed with anything, except how nice our waitress was.
