This review gets 2 stars for the food. I left satisfied with the food, but the employees ranged from okay to down right awful! The hostesses were more concerned with gossiping and making inappropriate remarks about customers than seating anyone. That explains why we waited 35 minutes for a table. Nobody has a sense of urgency and it was not a slow period. Every employee looked like they had better things to do. The runner had forgot a few items of our meal and had to be corrected many times. OUR waitress was what I would expect from Ihop. I wouldn’t try this location again just because of the staff.

If I could give this place no stars I would! The service was the worst I have had in a long time. Not only did we wait for over 15 minutes for our waitress to take our order she was sitting down talking. Never got any refills on drinks she never even came back to check on us. Had to go to front with no ticket to pay. They need we management!

This was the last time they will tempt me back with one of their TV ads. Because every experience we’ve had here has been disappointing we hadn’t been in probably two years. Today was a double disappointment. The feature item was disappointing as always. Somehow they switched waiters on us. That would’ve been okay except when we were ready to leave our second waiter was no where to be found. We waited(aren’t waiters the ones supposed to wait?) probably 15 minutes. When he hadn’t shown up anywhere we flagged down the first waiter and said we needed the check. Still nothing. After another five minutes we flagged down another random waitress and again said we needed the check. Sill nothing. Finally the second waiter appears and got the check wrong twice, so we waited for those corrections. They will never tempt me again. I will not be back. ___ We’ve Eaten Out Every Meal for more than 25 years

So I went to IHOP on 8÷28÷15 with my husband. We usually go to Denny’s near the Bay Brook Mall on I45 but he wanted to go place else for a change. First of all the whole building is so dated and not very clean. I loved pulling into the parking lot and seeing 4 employees out by the dumpsters smoking. That was just awesome. The booth we sat in was very dirty and when I asked someone to clean it they brought me a towel. LMAO. So we just moved ourselves to a cleaner booth. The waiter was great the food came fast & fresh but the price for what you got was not good. Denny’s kicks IHOP’s butt in service, cleanness, price and variety of menu items. So we were leaving and I have a boot on my foot so I am slow going. A waitress was chasing after a customer that she thought didn’t pay(she did) and knocked me over and to keep from falling I had to grab someone else’s table, which shook their breakfast all over the place. She didn’t look back say I’m sorry or anything. The Hostess actually said sorry to me. I think I will stick to Denny’s.

Worst experience this time. We came to the retaurant with our 18 mo old and the usher offered a seat begrudgingly because it would block the gangway. What’s worse the buckle did not work. So my wife requested replacement. When we were working and I loudly vocalized that the chair did not seem like something I’ve used and how should it be done, our waitress just stood there and did nothing!!! If you are concerned about crowded gangways, why not offer to help. After all this, the crepes were uncooked, the taste was bitter and my wife did not eat it. Even the simplest garden omelette was uncooked in that the veggies stood out and there was no cheese. It was raw-er than before. My child’s kid menu was the only thing okay. Coffee was the most bitter and the OJ and Apple Juice were bitter too. Sad. Never going back to this one again!

Five stars for this type of breakfast-focused place. Service was fast, courteous, and anticipated our needs! Food was excellent! And this was during a very busy time with a party of 10, 4 separate checks.

Our waiter was rude. Never checked on us. We asked him for hot syrup and he points to the ones on the table. We had to ask another waiter to bring the syrup. Never have I been denied a freaking SYRUP bottle.

I received a free Rooty Tooty Fresh N Fruity pancakes for my birthday, and decided to order an omelette & hashbrown. Told my waiter it was my birthday and I guess he tried to be polite, but didn’t seem to enthusiastic and didn’t sing happy birthday to me. He was rather sick had a cold and kept sneezing. He also kept vulturing around our table. I suggested a straw with my chocolate milk after he forgot to bring me one. The food came out super fast didn’t even have to wait on that I was pleased and amazed. Wish I could have tipped the cook, oh how delicious it was! The pancakes were 4 stacks, apple cinnamon didn’t quite taste the cinnamon, but the apples were canned apple filling, the Colorado style omelette was real good, and the hashbrowns were also good too. Thank you Ihop breakfast cook! Food was fast and good! On our way out to pay, a server and cashier lady was dealing money ya know trying to get change. Took awhile, I’m not sure how professional is that? The server leaning over the cashier desk with rear all out. Anyways, I waited for them to do that. afterwards the manager came over after the cashier messed up my checkout price, they both was trying oddly to act happy about my birthday. The cashier cracked a half dangling smile while the manager asked why didn’t I tell him it was my birthday. Well, I said to him«I told my waiter». He said, «well he didn’t sing happy birthday to you»? And I said, «no». Even the manager thought that was odd so he and the cashier did a mini 2 sec. short happy birthday to me. They quickly ran out of change and had to give out what they had. Great huh?

Was happy to see they still have harvest grain and nut pancakes. Haven’t gone to IHOP in over a decade, assumed it would be gone. Service was fast and friendly, well focused. Food was good, tho I think you’re pay a bit much for what you get. A good place to go if you’re wanting a nice breakfast, but just not feeling like doing it yourself.

Quick breakfast trip before going to NASA space center. Definitely a clean and orderly restaurant and there was no wait for a table. Wait staff were nice but service was very slow. In our group of 4, we each had some sort of a breakfast sampler with pancakes, eggs and bacon. One of my friends didn’t receive her pancakes until we were almost done with our meal even though we asked for them a couple of times.

average. They destroyed my healthy eggwhite veg omlette with some canned cheese for effect I guess. Awful. Why would you do that??? if I asked for egg whites I was obviously watching fat and calories, the cheese was heaped with those 2 things. Never again.

There are some places that I believe are too harshly judged or just looked over. IHOP is one of those places. I get it, they’re a ubiquitous restaurant chain. And there are certain times and certain locations that don’t quite hit the mark or are slightly off in some way, but I think this is one of the better ones out there. My last visit to this specific location was years ago, I was younger and less conscious of my surroundings. I remember that two out of the three times I had been here prior to this visit that I was in a large group. The waitress then was pretty attentive and pretty gracious towards these then barely nineteen and twenty-year-olds; still a bit fresh-faced and rambunctious. We would come late, usually after work, still somehow full of energy. They waitstaff were patient with us and their kindness would never waiver even when our group would split checks. They were even nice enough to let us use our Space Center Houston badges to get a discount– which, unfortunately, is no longer. Fast forward to this moment, and the surroundings feel the same. Pretty standard IHOP fare, but perhaps the specific paint tones and the pictures/paintings on the walls make it feel more homey. Our waitress tonight, Mona Lisa, is probably the friendliest waitress after rush hour that I have ever encountered. She took our order right away and we received our food promptly. She was attentive and made suggestions, which was pretty refreshing. The boy* ordered his usual: original french toast. He never strays from this particular order as he likes things simple. His choice in beverage was splashberry. Being the festive fatty that I am, I decided on the holiday menu of raspberry white chocolate chip pancake stack(sans the raspberry), ultimate platter(which the boy and I shared), and the cinnamon hot chocolate as my choice of drink. I will admit I am pretty burned out on IHOP’s offerings. For awhile, when the boy or my friends would suggest eating IHOP, I would groan internally. Usually, I would receive a less than stellar pancake platter: the hash browns were bland and kind of undercooked, the bacon was not crispy enough, the eggs tasted like soap, etc. I cannot tell you what compelled me to eat here tonight(probably the holiday menu), but I am very glad that I did. Everything was spot on. The eggs were over easy excellence, the hashbrowns were nicely cooked and seasoned, the bacon was just crispy and just salty enough, and the sausage was. well, sausagey, which is good. The boy seemed to be pleased with his french toast, while I really loved the pancakes and will be sad when they holiday season is over and they are no more. IHOP at the NASA Pkwy location, you have renewed my hope in IHOP. I will have a special place in my heart for you, as I am still a bit wary of other locations. But you have not changed, you have stayed consistent, and for that, I thank you. Tl;dr people judge this location too harshly. Four stars because Space Center Houston employees no longer get that discount, but what can you do. It’s good, it gets the job done, and I hope I can come at least once more before that crêpe cake thing disappears, as I want to try it. * = My significant other.

There’s not much to say about IHOP that anybody wouldn’t already know from their local one, but this is a pretty well run version. I see what I believe is the manager out front most of the time making sure operations are going well(and sometimes pitching in to move tables and situate large groups). I’ve noticed several of the same servers for 5+ years now, the sign of a restaurant that is well run and with happy employees(who then pass that on to the customers). Being a 24-hour restaurant is great for the post-bar grub for night owls, or those shift workers who get off very late. Again, service has been excellent the once or twice I partook. This location is great about splitting checks, never any confusion or misunderstanding. Sometimes it takes a little longer than I think necessary to take the orders, it’s not that the servers are standing around, but our table is usually ready to order several minutes before they stop by. The food always comes out quickly, though, and hot(as would be expected, but still). Overall, very reliable, good quality of food, and everyone gets plenty to eat! Updating from an earlier review, the place is non-smoking now.

No PSAT for high school seniors so my friend and I chose to head out to IHOP before school! I think our good mood made up for the MUHs we encountered. –I ordered a Fresh Fruit & Yogurt Bowl(5.99) but got a Fruit Crêpe(7.99) –Kathy ordered a Take Two: Turkey Sandwich + House Salad but got the Potato Soup instead(but it was delicious) –We shared an All-You-Can-Eat pancakes with Eggs + Hash Browns(4.99) A good thing, though! Two good things actually: –We were going to split the bill manually and I calculated with my phone calculator the final bill to be a total of 21.57 but our official receipt said our combined meal only cost 21.32(maybe I calculated wrong… I’m pretty sure I didn’t! but it made us happy we were getting out of having ot pay 25 cents less) –Our last request for 3 more pancakes became 6! The waitress told us «don’t tell anyone» she gave us extra and a to-go box to go with it too! We ended up taking 6 pancakes to-go and shared them with people at school. :D Maybe we were just happy people today, so the errors in our orders didn’t bother us. Plus, it was my FIRST time at any IHOP and Kathy’s SECOND time at any IHOP so the IHOPness is still new to us, i.e. we spent ten minutes debating over what to order. Overall, I was a happy breakfast person, but I wouldn’t suggest going to IHOP if you need your spirits lifted by a flawless breakfast/brunch.

I was in town for the weekend and Saturday morning we decided we wanted Breakfast. I’m weird. I really don’t like Breakfast. Or any Breakfast food for that matter, except for maybe… «PAAAaaaAAaaaanCAAAAAKES!» The Tour2 of their Discover America Sweepstakes was in full swing. I attempted to order the Georgia Praline Peach Streusel pancakes with no whip cream(a la carte… none of those nasty Chicken Abortions or anything on the side). My dining companion’s Denver Omlet was just about ready when our server informed me that they were out of the peach sauce. NOOOO! I changed my order to the Banana Nut Pancakes. Within a minute or two, Rebecca’s omlet showed up. It was a good 5 or 6 minutes before my updated pancake order arrived. And, once it arrived, apparently they forgot to leave off the whip cream. Ugh. Anyway, Banana Nut pancakes are my favorite anyway, but I was really looking to something new. Oh well. Our server went ahead and left the charge on the bill for the Peach pancakes because they were $ 1 cheaper. I’m sure I will be back… I just hope they have what I want next time.
