Pretty good food. The whole place could use a good update and the prices are a tad high, but the staff is so nice.

First visit this morning with the hubsters and it was surprisingly very good. I ordered the Bön Appetite breakfast, I believe, and it was really good. Came with eggs(which I had them scramble in some fresh onions, tomatoes, and spinach) bacon, hash brown(a little too crunchy and hard, but good towards the center) and one heck of a waffle! I would have liked a more welcoming cashier, maybe one who politely asked if it were our first visit so we knew what we were doing lol but other than that, great and quick service. I also had a cappuccino, which was tasty.

This is a really great breakfast spot! My hubby and I came here to try something new. What an absolute gem! We had the Bön appetite breakfast with croissants. Everything was so good! We think we have found our new breakfast spot for lazy Saturdays.

Food was great! Real made from scratch stuff. Coffee was just ok. Service was very friendly. The weird part was when the owner came in and met with the manager. The place was mostly empty but they sat just next to our table. It just seemed like a real lack of hospitality. The owner just plopped down his computer and loudly talked to the staff across the room. Hmmm. He should lead by example and show a little class.

I have to admit, initially, I didn’t want to come here because it looked like a typical restaurant that served breakfast and I wanted something… more unique. My friend and I came here because Bön Appetit was right across from the Johnson Space Center and opened early. I got the Bön Appetit breakfast with scrambled eggs, sausage, hash browns, and croissant with a mocha. The hashbrowns were shaped like a birds nest which was great because it was crispy ALL around and the croissant was flaky and buttery. The eggs and sausage were alright — tasted like typical eggs and sausage. The mocha was also good. The funny thing is that I initially didn’t want to come here because the menu was simple but its the reason why I loved Bön Appetit! The food was delicious(somewhat healthy) and the service was great — what more could I ask for? Overall, this is a solid restaurant for a simple breakfast, I recommend this restaurant to all Unilocalers!

Passing through and decided to stop here because Cracker Barrel had a 35 minute wait. Friendly, clean, and the food was good for the price. Cheesy ‘potato gallete’ was delicious! I want to note that we went at 10:30 in the morning and were the youngest people by 30 years(husband is 32).

Awesome place. Service was great. Was not as crowed when I got there, but it started to get crowded. I will definitely have to go back for lunch!!!

We visited on a Saturday afternoon around 2:30. It closes at 3pm. It’s located at the end of a rather seedy looking business strip. If not for Unilocal,I would not have visited. The place was completely empty. We quickly paced an order, got our drinks from the self serve station(hate those), and chose a table. Food arrived quickly and was really good! I had the almond crusted chicken with veggie rice and broccoli. My son had the turkey bacon sandwich with chips. It was all delish! Rice was perfectly seasoned only needing a few shakes of salt and pepper to taste. Sauce on the chicken really hit the spot. Will be back when in the area again.

This has become our«go to» place for breakfast after 8:30 Mass. We get there around 9:45AM on Sunday and there is no line or wait like so many other Denny, IHOP, or Egg and I type restaurants. You order from a menu at the register, pay, then find a place to sit after getting your own silverware/coffee/water, etc.(which I don’t mind doing). The eggs are always cooked perfect, bacon, sausage, pancakes, and waffle are ALL recommended. Eschew toast in favor of a delicious croissant. Place is run by kids, who do a competent job of getting your tasty breakfast to you quickly and accurately. The few times they have made mistakes, they are quick to correct. At the risk of causing more people to try Bön Appetit Café and possibly causing me and the wife a wait in the future, I must highly recommend and guarantee I will return Sunday!

OMG! This is one awesome gem! Very European style. The staff was awesome and food was exquisite. My Americano coffee was the best I have had since moving to Texas. The food was very very good. I had scrambled eggs soft which are cooked to order. 2 large sausage patties and their hash browns looks a scone. It was big, tasty and crunchy. My wife couldn’t help herself and had to taste mine. My wife ordered an omelette with sausage, bacon and ham. WOW! It was loaded! She liked her decaf coffee. The restaurant is inviting, open and well lit. I will definitely remember this place for quiet meeting or a gathering. We have friends coming to visit from New England and we simply MUST bring them here. We were told that they have been open for 16 months. They are across the street the Space Center and across the street from a CVS and behind a Wendy. Do not be fooled by the outside of the building come in and be pleasantly surprised.

Without a doubt, my go to brunch spots for Sundays are in Houston. However, since we live closer to nasa, we thought we’d try something closer to home. As soon as we walked in, something about this place seemed vaguely familiar. Ignoring that fact, we ordered our food and sat down. I got the croissant sandwich with a side of hash. Sadly, as much as I wanted to whole-heartedly give it a try, the sandwich and hash were both incredibly bland, dry, and unappetizing. & to figure out the mystery, I realized the reason why this place was too familiar was because we had tried out this place a couple of years ago. BUT, it was a Chinese restaurant at the time that gave us «unsettled stomach aches/pain»(if you know what I mean), an omen from the start :(

I’ve worked in hospitality for 15 years, I wouldn’t bother. The décor is tired, you have self serve coffee and drinks station. You have to order at the counter. I ordered hot tea and was given a cup with a sachet. American breakfast was fine accept for the cold bacon, the waffles were the only thing great about the breakfast. Also the salt shaker was covered in something sticky. I should of known this place was below par when I walked in and saw a couple of tables with old people.

Absolutely one of the best places to have breakfast in Clear Lake. I ordered a veggie omelette with hash browns and the omelette was huge, very fresh vegetables, and the hashbrowns were a surprise because they are actually hash brown casserole with cheddar cheese and I think what appeared to be chives or green onion. Also it came with a croissant on the side. My child ordered a waffle. I’m not a waffle person, but this one was amazing with crunch on the outside and fluffy on the inside.

The pasta salad is the bomb! I have been to this place several times along with my parents and friends. My dad who does not like pasta salad at all says this place has the best pasta salad he has ever had! My parents come to visit often and this is the first place dad mentions when we try to find somewhere to eat. Also, when I go to visit them my dad makes me stop by this place to get some pasta salad to take home. Their waffles are amazing and so are the samdwiches. I have had their club and the ham and cheese croissant. The club has a wonderful sauce and is big enough to split between two people. Overall a great family restaurant with great simple food.

Very similar to the French café chain resturant down the street, but feels family run. I have to say everything taste just a little better too. Keep in mind I have only tried breakfast — so far at least. They also have bread and butter to eat like the other place, but once again the bread seems just a little better(fresher maybe). Only negative I could have, would be they were out of all jelly and jam except orange. Croissant big and good enough to eat on its own; I didn’t even add butter and for me that is saying a lot(everything’s better with butter). Pancakes were fluffy and delicious. Potato cake nice and plump and full of flavor. Very good breakfast.

Oh my… this place was not good. I ordered biscuits and gravy with hash browns and bacon. Everything came out one at a time, with the hash browns taking the longest. The biscuits were okay, but the sausage gravy was odd. The sausage was in little squares. I’ve never seen sausage in that form before. There were green things in the gravy, too. I didn’t really notice until I took a picture and then I couldn’t take my eyes off of them. I’m not sure what they were, but they most certainly did not add flavor to the dish. The hash browns are put into a mold and cooked… a lot. I believe there is cheese in them, but they were so dark and dry it was hard to tell. Finally, the bacon. It tasted very weird and it took me a while to place it. The bacon tasted exactly like pork rinds. This particular item was the kicker. It was bad. I like pork rinds, but I never buy them. I wanted bacon. It looked like bacon, but it didn’t taste like bacon. It tasted like pork rinds. That’s just not right.

Good food. Good food.10 min from home oh what took me so. long to eat here. My review is only based off of dining during breakfast. Now after a few visits I realized this is 1 of the best breakfast spots in Clear Lake. Hot.& fresh. food is what you get @ Bön Appetite. Be prepared to wait, the service is SLOW, but best believe your food will be hot & fresh when it comes out. Con: Place gets packed & very limited parking #support your local small business owners

This place has some good breakfast, point blank! The waffles were fluffy and buttery to taste, something I missed tasting. When I moved back to Texas it was either Eggo waffles or HEB brand frozen waffles. I definitely wasn’t always having a big breakfast presented to me. Home made, made from scratch is the best. Anywho, it was such a surprise when I asked the lady taking my order did they have any turkey to pair with my bread and she tells me yes, of course. Yes, of course?! That’s something I like to hear since all I’ve read was pork sausages and pork patties on the menu. They should really specify that. A cute side of fruit for presentation goes a long way. hint hint, I’ve been watching too many food network shows obviously. The only thing I didn’t like was the patrons in the restaurant was staring at me like a deer in the headlights deal. that was pretty weird. The lady taking my order had a slight attitude because I wasn’t sure what I wanted to order and the guy who bought my food out. was strange too. The service is as slow as molasses, but the prices are reasonable. The décor of the place isn’t so special, but I came for the food not the décor of the place. oh, and speaking of the interior of the place. There isn’t no old carpet smell that I afraid of smelling. Now, I usually don’t go out to eat for breakfast, but this place is acceptable.

Yes, the service is a little slow, and yes they seem a little disorganized, but the food is so good, that for now, I’m going to let that go and not knock them for it! David W. and Romero L. hosted a UYE here and it was so much fun! It was awesome seeing fellow Unilocalers that I hadn’t seen in awhile, and awesome to meet new Unilocalers! We had a great group and had a lot of fun! Thanks again Dave and Romero! So, you go in, grab a menu from the wall, stand in line and then order at the counter. The cashier was super sweet and fairly quick. When we got in line there seemed to be a mini rush of about 10 people in line, so it wasn’t moving too quickly, but I think they do get overwhelmed easily. I ordered the Original breakfast with scrambled eggs, bacon and pancakes(I kinda LOVE pancakes). Everything was fantastic and tasted delicious! The pancakes were huge, and I almost ate them all, they were so good! They have a little baguette and condiment station by the drinks, but there wasn’t any bread when I was up there. Which was okay as my breakfast was more than enough. The food did take awhile to get to the table though, and although thy give you a number, they don’t seem to have any process to match the number and the food, so they just ask who had what. They might need to work on that, because if they do get super busy, that’s just not going to work. I hope they do well, as the food is delicious and the service friendly, albeit a little slow and disorganized. Just a few tweaks and I definitely think this place could be here for the long haul!

After being open for over six months, this place has hit a rhythm and I have upped to five stars. My previous review noted sometimes uneven table service, but now the food comes out quickly and straight to our table. There were also issues early one sometimes of being out of coffee(carafe is out and it takes 10 minutes to make more) but haven’t seen that in a while. And they got bigger napkins :-). And the value for the food is great, cannot complain about price. And diners are noticing, as the place is filling up on Sunday with a line! My only worry is if they get overwhelmed with business!
