I live in Colorado, my mom lives in Nevada. My wedding dress is my mother’s wedding dress, and so I was having alterations done in Nevada. My wedding is taking place in Wisconsin. Don’t worry about it.
I had a horrible experience with the shop I went to in Nevada for alterations to my dress. It was… really bad. And I was definitely needing to bring the dress to Wisconsin sooner than I could get it fixed. So I did. And I found Julie’s. And I am so glad I did.
She was wonderful. She did everything that needed to be done, she fixed all the problems. And she charged so much less than the place that messed up all the things.
Julie’s shop is located in the basement of Mayfair Mall, in the same area as the public safety office. It’s a truly hidden gem.
Julie does absolutely amazing work at an incredibly reasonable price. I would recommend her to anyone.

I needed a new zipper for my favorite duffle coat. Julie quoted 30 days which was ok under the circumstances but I would otherwise find it pretty long for just a heazy duty zipper. Her price was good and she even repaired a rip in the fabric where the old zipper was. She didn’t call me when the work was done which is a strike but the result was top-​notch work at a reasonable price. She and her associate are very friendly and that made look forward to seeing her.

I’ve used Julie two times now, once for hemming a few pairs of pants and once to do some MAJOR MAJOR alterations on a bridesmaid dress. Both times, I was extremely pleased with her work. Everything was done perfectly and fit just right. Julie interacts with her customers in a professional but genuinely kind manner. Her work is done in what I would consider to be reasonable amounts of time, and her pricing is fair. I will continue to use her for all my alteration needs.

I must first say I am becoming addicted to Unilocal!for finding reviews about everything. This case was no different in my search for a good tailor.
I needed tailoring done last minute and she agreed to work with me on it. Good prices and great work! I highly recommend her to anyone. It is a little difficult to find as it is in the ground level of Mayfair mall but I promise you won’t be disappointed. Thanks Julie!

JULIE SAVED ME! I had a tailor do some alterations for me, but unfortunately he changed the measurements he took and altered my skirt too much. It was too tight and made me look like a bimbo. It took me weeks to connect with him the first time, so did not want to contact him again. Julie was able to take out each of the seams a little so that I had a bit more breathing room. Yeah!
I live in Chicago, but it is worth it for me to send my alterations to her in Milwaukee. She has a few pieces now.
