Best Mexican food I have ever had. The aquachiles is fantastic. I live in the Valley, and it’s almost worth the drive over the hill just to go there. Almost… let’s not get crazy here.

Although service was great, the food wasn’t up to par. I placed an order of shrimp empanadas. which only had one tiny shrimp inside and nothing else.(Usually they have veggies or chipotle sauce along with the shrimp) The shell could have fit two pieces of shrimp. also ordered a mixta tostada consisted of jaiva, octopus, shrimp. but it was literally 80% jaiva. Overall I would say this restaurant needs to step up their food game.

We should have know when we walked it and it was empty at 12pm. We went for lunch, my husband had the shrimp fajitas and I had the shrimp diablo. Both very very plain, his had no flavor at all and my was too sweet. The salad on the plate had no dressing. Who wants to eat plain lettuce? The beans were the worst I’ve ever eaten. They were white beans that were very slimmy with no taste what so ever. The rice was awful too, it was parboiled, not long grain, white rice with no flavor with some frozen mixed veggies thrown in for no good reason. At this point I was hoping we wouldn’t get sick later. Our lousy lunch cost us over 30.00 for 2 people. Sorry we’ll never be back.

Aguachiles! Oh man oh man. I have a cousin in law, so to speak… who is a die hard aguachile fiend. Every time we get together, it is somewhat of a quest to find or make them. The last few times I have had them they are too hot to eat and becomes more of a pain/pleasure experience. This time I have to say WOW! Always in the small farm communities is the best Mexican seafood fare. This place is a must have every time I come through town now and in the future. Typical Mariscos hole in the wall setting. Booths along the perimeter and table/chairs in the middle with big screen playing soccer. Again, the only guerro in site, but that never scares me, I am outnumbered in mi familia, so bring on the camarones! We sat down, ordered micheladas or something similar which was in a huge mug along with chips and chile. When the aguachiles came, I was catching a light buzz from my drink along with the beers from earlier before arriving. I had a heaping bowl of shrimp, avacado slices and red onion slices basked in a perfect combination of lime juice and blended jalapenos with tostada shells. The plate was HUGE! My brother in law finished half of his and said he would take the rest back to the boss aka wife and asked if I would do the same. By that time, I was drinking the juice and realized I ate the whole damn thing! Will I come back here again? Oh yeah! Will I not bring some back to the wife after having a BIG smile on my face as if I had just had the best seafood in a year, not likely. Unilocalers, take a chance, tell em the guerro sent you! This place doubles as a dance hall on the weekends but based on the traffic and people coming in, it must have great food, will be back again.

The fried fish made me sick. I think the cook served us spoiled fish on purpose. The little cup of ranch dressing had a brown skin on it. Even the beans were bad. Never ever in a million years going back there. My sister-in-law had the same thing. She also got sick.

Great place to go get some«tostadas»…shrimp ceviche ones are $ 2.25, can’t beat that! The place itself is a little run down, not the place to go if you’re looking for somewhere nice, but the food is good! So far I’ve only had their tostadas… I love them so much, that I keep ordering them everytime I go! I usually get the«mixta», which has imitation crab, shrimp and octopus! HUGEPORTIONS!

I have only gone once. The service was terrible; the jukebox deafening; my fried fish, only so-so. The salsa was downright awful: a vinegar– tomatillo mix that could’ve curdled milk, let alone my gut. I can’t think of a reason to go back, unless I’m into a little masochism.

Just another mariscos place in town. They had lots of «pulpo»(octopus) offerings and I saw many tables receive all manner of cocktails. If you’re a fish cocktail kind of person, this might be a good spot for you. If you’re like me and searching for the best fish taco, keep on searching, you won’t find it here. The fish(pescado) tacos were decent, and the green mole was pretty flavorful, including the key limes in the basket of chips, but the service was pretty much awful, and the food was overpriced for my liking. $ 9 for my bare bones plate of 3 tacos and some oddly discolored beans and rice. No coca de botella. With all of the other options in town, it’s definitely not at the top of my list.
