Super Taqueria

We’re driving back from our research project at an organic farm and we spot some hitchhiker on the side of the road. We take a vote, and two out of three of us in the car want to stop for this hitchhiker, so my classmate SLAMS on the brakes like we’re in the Blues Brothers, and the hitchhiker comes running up to the car with his backpack. God dammit man, I can’t fade y’all right now. I’m not trying to pick this dude up. This was back when I had less chill.
We’re also running out of gas because this is a Diesel volkswagen and there are hardly any diesel gas stations in these strawberry fields and garlic empires.
Anyways, the hitchhiker is some priest who’s on a religious mission, and we drop him off in Watsonville. I don’t really pay attention to the conversation because I’m acting all pissed.
We take a stroll along Main St. and this is one of the few things open. We get the sweet sodas with tacos/​burritos. These burritos are huge! Everything is cheap man. Good customer service.

Food is OK good sometimes. 70% of the time the meat is salty.
I love their salsa. My biggest issue with Watsonville super taqueria is the service. Honestly the people they are very rude especially at night. I called in to order something and whoever answer me was being so rude. like so stuck up acting like if she owned the place. When I got there the workers or just playing and talking smack about customer’s. My point is don’t go to super taqueria at night they are very disrespectful and rude. In general service here sucks there was talking smack about their American customers making fun of them because they don’t know Spanish. Like really Wow

Completely horrible service. Ordered 3 burritos, fucked up on every single one. Not only that but they tasted like shit!!! Complete DISGRACE to Mexican food everywhere!!! I do not recommend ever going here… and it was not a busy night.

Customer service sucks got our order wrong 3 times. They assumed we didnt want beans. Though we were never asked. When we asked for beans the cook gave us attitude. I told them that their customer service sucks and that would be the last time i spent my money their. Plus their floors where almost black from all the foot traffic and lack of cleaning… If ur looking for good mexican food go somewhere else theres alot of other restaurants around town

A decent place for a quick lunch. Prices are reasonable and service is quick. The dinning room is dated and desperately needs an update. They have a person to clean the tables but when the table looks like it has 20 years of grease then no amount of wiping will do. The kitchen is open and visible so at least you know you food is clean. I usually get the giant super burito with asada. It has always filled me and is tasty. There are many other authentic Mexican places nearby but this one is fast and speaks English fluently.

I’ve been to different Super Taqueria locations and this one SUCKS!!! You walk in and the first thing you see is a garbage can screaming for attention! As we’re waiting in line to be helped a homeless woman comes up to the check stand and asks the cashier for a big cup for soda and that she’ll pay her back tomorrow! Cashier tells her to hold on and lady just walks in to the kitchen area to grab her own cup. I look and she walked starlight to the fountain to fill up her cup. Just everything about this place sucked! Dirty floors, garbage can poring with trash, meat in my quesadilla was disgustingly salty. I love Super T but just not this location! First & last time here!

There’s so many great taquerias around the Santa Cruz area and this is not one of them. My friend and I both got the nachos which were terribly bland and lacked flavor. Cheese is not melted on the nachos and sparsely found. The salsa here is watery and does not look fresh. Good luck trying to fight for the salsa while people stock up on dozens of the small containers and leave them in your way. I will never return here.

Best burritos in the area. I get the small bean and cheese with added avocado and then put the spicy green salsa and cilantro on it. Mmm… my favorite. I like the people, the prices and the amazing food!

Great food, great staff, great prices, kid friendly, I go here all the time and I recommend it to anyone looking for some great Mexican food. Includes condiment bar with 3 different types of salsa jalapenos limes and onions and cilantro:))) gooood. Stuff!!& fresh!
I never tried lime juice with my tacos before coming here, most delicious thing ever. Occasionally they are swapped for lemons which drives me up the wall… Hoping eventually that stops but still an all around a great place to eat!!!

My kids and their friends love to stop here. Generous portions and fast service.

Would have given it a 5 out of 4 stars. But this restaurant fell short. it seems comparing the Watsonville location to the San Jose Morgan Hill and the Salinas location this location seems to be on a budget. the amount of meat that is in their tacos and burritos on their nachos seems to be a lot less than all the other locations. for the amount of money that you pay for a super taco he would think that the main ingredient would be the meat. Not the case. however the overall taste of the food is excellent the menu is excellent. I hope that in the near future the chain considers to start taking debit cards or other forms of payment. This would definitely bring them into the 22^nd century.

Awesome quality food. Simple ingredients prepared expertly with amazing flavors. Fresh tortillas (and rolls for the tortas) do really make a difference and you can tell SuperTaq knows what’s up. I could drink their salsas in a glass, luckily now they sell containers of them and their guac (for pretty cheap too) Chile verde & adobada are current faves, but asada is close runner-​up. How do they ALWAYS have ripe avocados?

Great clean food. Best part is you actually see them cooking in front of you. Only down fall they don’t have chips.

No flavor at all the meat beans and rice were bitter. They do make the burritos big but without the mexican flavors you just are eating mush.

Food is good, could be better. Quality of meat is average. Their super nachos need more meat and cheese, too plain to be «super». Cheese is good, real, grated type but they don’t melt it! It needs to be melted. I really liked their green salsa.
About 10bucks a meal, with a drink. Fast service, cash only.

This place would be a 5 star because the food was so good and fresh cooked but I had to take off one star because of the smoke from the grill. .When we left after dinner my hair smelled like food…

The quality of ingredients has really gone down the last year or so. Any other locals like me notice the difference? Used to be one of my favorites. I wonder if they changed management or if the San Jose headquarters just doesn’t care about this location anymore…#NotGoingAnymore

Cash only! Best taco stand in town! We are new to the area and finally found a taco place that has wonderful beans, rice, tacos, and burritos! The Super Taco has pinto beans, meat, cheese, and topped with fresh avocado — my husband’s favorite. I like the Giant Regular Burrito with refried beans, chicken (stewed to perfection), and rice.
Nothing fancy about this place, just great, authentic food.

This is my «go to» lunch spot. I keep saying I gotta stop telling my friends about this place, it can get busy crowded during the lunchtime slam.
My usual is either Carnitas Super tacos or a Chile Verde Super Burrito. Just depending on my mood and sometimes what I had last time lol.
I have had lunch and dinner here on the same day, I have had lunch here for days in a row, and when I say I’m going to lunch, my friends and coworkers assume I’m going to SuperT. :)
It’s not fancy, but it’s good, fast and cheap. You don’t usually get to have all three at the same time. ;)

When I get a craving for a burrito, I usually run to Super Taqueria. Well, not really, I drive my fat ass there but still. My usual order is a carne asada super burrito. I love that they put sliced avocado in their burritos instead of guac. Don’t get me wrong, I love guac but sometimes just straight up fresh sliced pure avocado hits the spot. Also, their horchata is on point.
As a bonus, this shit is cheap as balls.
