Lovely Bed and Breakfast. Clean and cozy. Very nice one night stay. Nice location in Watkins Glen. Great front porch swing. Very nice breakfast. Would have liked a little refreshment in the evening but over all it was very nice. Would return and would recommend.

A gorgeous, 100-year-old town house in an ideal location, ornately decorated, peaceful, inviting and charming — and good value — run by tremendously friendly people… I’m really not sure how I can fault The Marmalade Cat. It’s a perfect B&B — the bed was ridiculously comfortable, the breakfast(yogurt/fruit salad, french toast, bacon, coffee, pink lemonade) was hearty, filling and energising. It was a very pleasant one-night stay. Oh, if you have a problem with cats, maybe go somewhere else — the owners are BIGTIME cat lovers. Aside from the resident felines(one of which you will most certainly meet) the cat motif is pervasive through the entire building — my wife and I loved it and would happily return. This is a wonderful place.

I’d go back for Minnie alone. But really, everything here is fantastic, from the comfortable bed to the ambiance to the delicious breakfast and especially Sally’s hospitality. My British husband was thrilled to have another expat to chat with. Plus, it’s walking distance from everything in downtown Watkins Glen. But Minnie… MINNIETHECAT. She is not the namesake Marmalade Cat, but she really tugged on the heartstrings. I mean, she answers you when you call her name and will sit on your lap for hours if you let her. What’s not to like? I know I am getting into Crazy Cat Lady territory here, but she was one of the highlights of our trip for me!
