The Salon on the Square

I am new to the area and had to reschedule today’s appointment as I awakened feeling ill. I spoke to the sweet Meghan Getman, whom I haven’t even met, and she re-​booked my appointment and was so gracious about it even though it re-​arranged her day. I can’t wait to get my color, cut and style from The Salon on the Square!

I had a fabulous experience at this Salon!
Moving here from L.A., I was really apprehensive about changing hair dressers as most people probably are. I did as much research as I could, and eventually stumbled upon a review of Belinda’s work and took the plunge and made an appointment for a cut and color.
Upon meeting Belinda, I could immediately sense that she knew what she was doing, and that my hair was in good care in her hands. We brainstormed about what to do, as I was a bit unsure, and once we reached a decision she began.
The entire process was the least painful experience I’ve gone through in a salon because I absolutely despise sitting still in a chair for hours as someone tugs on my hair and prys about my personal life, but Belinda’s company was very refreshing, and her overall friendly and non-​judgmental demeanor was pleasant. She knew exactly what to say and it felt as though we were immediate friends.
What I loved the most, though, was that she was a complete professional and was not afraid to really cut my hair! Every other stylist I have been to have hesitated with the fear that I’d be unhappy (a very understandable fear as most clients suffer shock when their long locks are cut off), which usually results in a wishy-​washy awkward length cut which is worse than a mediocre bob.
The final result was gorgeous and exactly what I wanted! I can’t wait to go even lighter and shorter. And this coming from a life-​long brunette with waist — length hair (as you can probably tell from my profile picture!)
I definitely will be returning. Thank you, Belinda!

You cannot go wrong with Belinda & her staff at Salon on the Square! Quality service, relaxing environment and conveniently located in the heart of downtown.
What sets this salon apart from others in Watertown for me is that their stylists have the best training and are able to perfectly execute whatever the latest hair trend is that you’re dying to try! Balayage. metallic colors. pastels. You name it, they can do it!
I also love how they send text reminders for your upcoming appointment! For a busy girl like myself, I appreciate that they go the extra mile for you.
