This is SUCH A CUTEPLACE!!! This is a small diner, so I can imagine that it gets packed over the weekend. I came here for breakfast, and the waitresses were super friendly. The whole ambiance in general was just great! Although the place was cute, I(unfortunately) thought the food was quite mediocre. I got the french toast and coffee bread pudding. The french toast’s batter tasted like nothing more than eggs, and the bread pudding was hard that I had to force cut it with a knife.

Just moved here a week ago and was looking for a good breakfast spot. Awesome patio area to eat on the nice days, delicious food, and out waiter was really attentive and checked on us often. We will be regulars for sure!

This place is great! Staff is super friendly and the food is so good! I got the steak and eggs and it was so perfectly cooked and seasoned. The waffle my girlfriend got was awesome, super fast service as well. Food comes out nice and fast and never feel rushed. Great place

This place is the definition of «come for the food come back for the service.» Went here for Sunday brunch, which in the Boston area, it’s like fashionable to wait 40 minutes to be seated. That is how it is everywhere in this area. However, the line wasn’t nearly so long. After 15 minutes, we were seated at the counter and thanked for waiting. The service was very friendly and the food, was delicious, fast and affordable. I don’t think you could ask for better.

This is a fantastic place for breakfast, we’re kind of disappointed we did not discover it earlier. I got an omelette and corned beef hash, because if you have corned beef hash on the menu I’m going to order it. It was fabulous, crispy potatoes and melt in your mouth corned beef. The potatoes were nice and crispy on the edges as well with a soft center. My wife got blueberry pancakes, which were excellent as well. Great, friendly service and a steady stream of what were clearly regulars streaming in on a Sunday morning cemented it for us. We will be back soon.

My father has a real estate firm in Watertown Sq. We come to the dinner for years for breakfast or lunch. It’s a pleasant break in the day. Lisa the owner is local gal, a plus. The staff is friendly and quick. It’s nice to see a pop & mom dinner alive today. The place is always clean and busy. Make to sure to get there early and enjoy. They have outdoor seating most people don’t know that!

Went in on a whim on Unilocal! And thank God we did. I drive past this place almost everyday and just thought it was a hole in the wall diner like so many others. Boy was I wrong! From the time we walked in we were greeted so kindly and warmly by Lisa and Ana is the best and sweetest server. Come to find out later that they had just been featured on Phantom Gourmet that morning! Thank God we got in before the rush. The waffle with bananas, blueberries and strawberries and powdered sugar?!! Omg light and fluffy. Waffle heaven. Pretty sure that now I’m a regular. Such a good find!

I was very pleased with this find on Unilocal. My favorite thing about this place was getting a «Welcome!» and«good morning» greeting as I walked in the door. Needless to say, the staff is very friendly and the service is second to none. I had eggs(over-medium), home fries, Italian sausage, and a side of Pumpkin Pancakes. Everything was delicious, minus the fact that the pumpkin pancakes being a little bit on the dry side. The coffee is delicious and the staff is great about not having your glass empty. Overall, the portions are great, and the prices are incredibly reasonable. Will definitely be back.

Went today for the first time for a late breakfast and instantly fell in love with the place. The entire staff was incredibly friendly, and the place just has a great vibe to it. We sat at the counter where delicious baked goods stared at us while we ate our fantastic breakfast. We had to take a bread pudding home with us! Home fries were especially great! Will most certainly be back!

A great Unilocal find! «Hello» as we walked in the door, prompt service, pleasant and looking around the diner you can tell this is someone’s dream. much like my dream. They do everything right at The Diner at 11 North Beacon. Food was everything we wanted. Cuban, Burger and french fries. Prices we spot on perfect. I’ll be returning for breakfast soon… many times again!

This is a great little diner in Watertown! We came here this morning for breakfast and it hit the spot. I had«The Diner» breakfast, which came with two eggs, potatoes, choice of meat(bacon, sausage, etc), and two pancakes. Everything was cooked perfectly – I especially liked the potatoes because they had some crispy bits to them and the pancakes were some of the best diner pancakes I’ve had. My husband had the Two Egg breakfast with corned beef hash, which came with two eggs and toast as well. Great pick as well. Both plates were $ 9, very reasonable. The breakfast here should definitely be considered«$,» so it surprised me to see this place listed as «$$»…maybe that’s the lunch fare? Street parking for this place, so it might be a little difficult on the weekend. It’s also a smaller restaurant, so I can imagine it can get packed, but on a Thursday morning, there were just a few other people in here enjoying a quiet breakfast. Also, when you check in on Unilocal, you get 10% off your bill. Don’t forget to checkout the chalkboards on the walls because they list specials.

When my girlfriend and I visited this diner, I had a standard breakfast(eggs, potatoes, toast, etc) and my girlfriend had pancakes with bananas. The service was great and the place was very clean, but overall the taste of the food was over-seasoned and did not want me wanting more. The food itself was just mediocre. Not to mention, there was little to no parking available when the diner itself wasn’t very busy. Overall, when it comes to the bottom line, service is great but the food is a pass.

I had been on the hunt for a hole-in-the-wall, family-owned, brunch specialty diner for quite some time then I happened upon The Diner at 11 North Beacon — greatest discovery ever! Everyone is extremely friendly, the food is phenomenal, and the wait on Sunday morning is ABSOLUTELY worth it!

Simply wow. We waited for about 20min on a cold January day and it was worth it. The wait is compensated by a cup of coffee. The staff’s customer service and friendliness was unmatched and genuine throughout the entire experience. I think every staff member at some point offered a salutation or refill of coffee. As for the food it came out in a very timely fashion. We ordered the eggs Benedict that was poached perfectly, a Denver omelette that was generously filled with ingredients and side of hash. We also had a blueberry muffin to start that was toasted properly. Overall, an excellent experience and we will be going again very soon.

The food is excellent and not expensive and the service is top-notch. They also take LevelUp. The only downside is that it’s a very cozy place and you will almost always have at to wait especially if you want a table(bar seats tend to open up more quickly, of course) but once you get a seat, you are attended to swiftly and with a smile and are not rushed through your meal. We used to be regulars at another diner close by but, on a whim, decided to give this one a try. We might have found a new«home diner!»

The negatives: waited 25m on a Sat… and lack of parking. The positives: the hostess kept people updated. Our waitress was lovely. The food was delicious. Homemade salsa… yum. Sweet potato benedict… excellent. …and… clean bathrooms.

As part of my family’s quest for a decent breakfast place(surprisingly, there are vanishingly few that meet even our simple requirements: decent omelet — not just scrambled egg with things mixed in; that’s *not* an omelet — good potatoes, and no fake syrup), we ended up here for Sunday brunch. And we were pleasantly surprised. The omelets were yummy, the potatoes very good, if a bit overcooked(they were extremely busy, so we cut them some slack). Real maple syrup was a side option we had to pay for, but that’s somewhat understandable. I got their«homemade» corned beef hash, which was good, and the eggs were done just right. Good coffee, too. Very pleasant staff. A long line, but it was peak brunch time, and anyway we got seated within 15 minutes… But the place is small and all the people waiting were crowded in the corner. But once we got the food, we were happy. All in all, a very positive experience; this place is one to go back to.

We were lucky to only wait about 10 minutes for a table and found parking on the other side of the street(lots of street parking). We had the breakfast burrito(which they split for us which was so nice) and the waffle with fresh fruit. The fruit was really good and the waffle was nice and fluffy. Service was friendly and prices were reasonable.

This is our regular brunch/lunch spot on the weekend. It helps that it’s literally right around the corner from us. There are long lines on the weekend, sure(especially in wintertime when the back patio isn’t open), but I don’t think we’ve ever waited more than 20 minutes. The food is SOGOOD, especially their home fries. I’m normally not a big fan of home fries, I prefer hashbrowns, but theirs are cooked and seasoned just right to be delicious. I’m a vegetarian so I usually get french toast/pancakes/waffle or their egg/toast/homefries combo, and it’s always good. Also make sure to get some baked goods while you’re there! The cookies are gigantic, and the muffins are delish. Another point for the Diner at 11 North Beacon is the people. Service is always efficient and super cheerful. The staff is so nice and funny, and once you’ve been there a few times they’ll start greeting you as a regular. In sum: One time we tried another nearby diner, and regretted it almost as soon as we were seated. When we left, we swore never again to stray. Sorry for cheating on you, Diner!

Stopped here for lunch on a day I was working from home. Despite arriving about a half hour before closing(2pm), everyone there was exceptionally friendly and not at all pushy. It was pretty busy — a good sign! — and had a great casual atmosphere. While their menu is very breakfast-oriented, I opted to order off the lunch special menu. Ended up going with a hot pastrami with mustard aioli, caramelized onions, roasted red peppers, and blackened green peppers. It was awesome. Perfectly cooked pastrami, not over-sauced, a great crunch in the peppers. The bun was a standard sesame seed burger bun, fresh and sightly toasted. I got the black bean salad in lieu of fries(yeah, trying to be healthy or something), which was a tasty mix of black beans, onions, fresh green peppers, salt/pepper, and maybe a little bit of olive oil. Everything tasted fresh and it wasn’t swimming in oil which was nice. I’ll definitely be back to try their breakfast staples and eagerly look forward to more lunch specials. This place is great!

Since moving to Watertown two years ago I have tried nearly all of the brkfst places in town. While I also like Spot Café(very much), The Diner at 11 North Beacon has become my go-to place. The prices are reasonable, the good is always VERY good, there’s always an interesting special or two on the blackboard, and the service is great too. I am particularly fond of their home fries and have come to think of breakfast here as «home fries with…» as opposed to the to the other way around. I haven’t tried lunch here(open 7:00 to 2:00) but I bet it’s good too. If you’re ever in the mood for an old-fashioned diner experience here in Watertown I highly recommend The Diner at 11 North Beacon!

Long lines on the weekends. Seems to be a popular spot for brunch and a great find :) service was wonderful — one of the egg yolks from one of the dishes we ordered was broken and when the server brought it out, he told us he’d bring an extra egg on the side to make up for it. We totally didn’t expect it. Food is delicious. Expect to leave there super full!

Went here this morning with a friend for some breakfast! While waiting for a spot to sit they have a coffee station with freshly made coffee! The breakfast was amazing with extremely friendly staff. They have homemade muffins, pies, and cakes. You can tell how good it was by the doggie bags and boxes of pastries to go at the end. I had the diner breakfast with a little helping of everything. It was delightful. The scali bread used for toast and French toast is to die for. The bacon was cooked perfectly to my liking with crispy spots and softer spots. I would recommend this place in a heartbeat! It’s worth the wait while you wake up drinking your coffee!

My husband and I love this place! We stumbled upon it at random when we first moved to the area and are so happy that we did. The food tastes so fresh and high quality. The pancakes are cooked perfectly — fluffy with slightly crispy edges. Their home-fries are probably the best I’ve ever had. They are seasoned well and soft. The eggs are cooked properly. There’s nothing I hate more than having runny whites and I haven’t experienced that at all here. The portions are right on — it’s a lot of food but it isn’t an insane amount that you can’t finish if you’re hungry. It’s a cozy atmosphere and the staff is friendly and warm. Often on the weekends there is a slight wait but actually we’ve never waited more than 3 minutes — small party of 2 is generally easy to seat at the counter if there aren’t any tables available.

So we are staying at the Westin Boston Waterfront which is about a 15 minute drive away but the concierge told us this place is amazing if your in the mood for a greasy spoon joint. So we drove the 15 minutes! We arrived at this small little quaint diner and this SUPERNICE hostess greeted us and made small talk, her name was Ana. We waited outside in this beautiful cloudy breezy weather for about 15 – 20 minutes. We were seated at the bar and were immediately greeted by a gentleman with a smile. We ordered two water and a hot chocolate. We viewed the menu and in less than 2 minutes knew what we wanted. I ordered the diner and my girlfriend ordered a junior omelette with ham and cheese. The food was brought out to us in no one maybe 5 minutes. The food was delicious. I ate the food and forgot to take pictures so sorry for the empty plate picture. Our waitress Marielle was wonderful. It was a very homey environment everyone knows each other loved this place!

What a wonderful find. A family run diner with great food and selection of home baked goods. Easy access to street parking and an outdoor patio. Missed several exits on the I-90, so we took the next exit, Newton. Turned on Unilocal and found the closest diner. Luckily it was the Diner at 11 North Beacon. Not much to look at but when you enter it is like being home. Friendly faces and atmosphere. Good selection of omelette pancakes and everything else you need for breakfast. Great food at great prices. This place is your best bet for a hearty breakfast.

After a day of Santacon, this place definitely hit the spot. It seems to have it all: great food and good, warm service. I had my diner usual: corned beef hash and poached eggs, wheat toast and home fries. Definitely bonus points for a homemade corned beef hash. However, the one star was for the fact that it’s more of a mush than it is a hash. It was also a tad bland and could have used a bit more corned beef. Toast was nice and very dark. Home fries were big chunks of potato with lots of garlic. Yum! As busy as this place is, they don’t rush you out. They’re very fast even in the tight space they have. And they’re pretty good with chit chat. I’m pretty sure any other dish, and this place would have gotten a 5.

Moving away from the city and closer to the ‘burbs, I thought I would be missing out on all the amazing dining experiences that Boston has to offer… THISDINERPROVEDMEWRONG! I love this place. They just GETIT. I ordered the BBT omelette and my cousin ordered«The Diner», which I was secretly happy about because I wanted to try their pancakes, as well(gluttonous much?). My omelette, sure — it wasn’t the most photogenic thing in the world but it was SOGOOD. One of my pet peeves with omelettes is that the egg part is usually too thick and overwhelming. This omelette had a thin egg outer-layer with just the perfect amount of bacon bits. sigh… I could go for one right now. And the pancakes? so good! I am not really a pancake person, but I could have ate the entire thing, if I wasn’t so full from my omelette. Stating that this place is perfect is overdoing it just a TAD bit. I walked in the pouring rain for this place to find that they don’t seat you until your entire party is present. Since I was waiting on my cousin, who is always«fashionably late», I ended up waiting 30 minutes and watched at least 7 different parties sit down before me. I’m sure everyone reading this is thinking, «that’s your problem», but I was sad that they made me stand there forever when there were many empty tables/seats available :(Anyways, to make this a happy ending, the hostess was incredibly nice and seated us IMMEDIATELY when my cousin showed up because she knew I waited so long. They checked up on us multiple times during our meal and I had nothing to complain about from there on. I will be coming here on a weekly basis from now on, if not a daily basis!

It took us a while to try this place and I’m so glad we did! Been here 3 times and have yet to have anything bad. The staff could not be friendlier! Managers always check in with tables. I’ve only had their breakfast and it’s great. I especially like their omelettes, bacon and their special Pineapple Waffle I had this morning was to die for! There are many diners in Watertown and this one has become my favorite. Also Unilocal gives 10% off your total bill and they take LevelUp which can also save you money if you become a regular.
