While visiting my nephew and family they treated us to the very best Lasagna we’ve ever had. Many variations we’ve tried and by far your Lasagna is 5 star The staff was friendly and fast. Our waitress was so nice as to take a group picture for us. Do you deliver LOL If you’re ever in Watertown, NY the lasagna is Top Shelf do yourself a favor and enjoy. The Austin’s Allentown, PA

Service and food merely okay. Nothing worth paying for at a restaurant. Co-worker and I walked in for lunch on weekday. Woman at hostess stand had no idea what was going on; didn’t acknowledge us. A waitress came by and said to wait for a clean table. Another waitress then pointed to a now cleaned table and we sat ourselves. I ordered the corned beef on rye Reuben sandwich and my co-worker ordered the Super Deluxe pizza. Food arrived in less than ten minutes. The«Reuben» was open face and the alleged corned beef was cold sliced deli meat which resembled more of a pastrami. It came with a thin sliver of pickle and one pepperchini. Sweet potato fries reheated from frozen with no seasoning or dipping sauce was extra. My co-worker’s pizza looked just like a frozen pizza that was reheated straight out of the box. As I said that to him, he said it tasted like a frozen pizza too. Much like a low quality Tonys, Celeste, or Red Barron pizza you’d get at a supermarket for $ 3 except this one cost ~$ 8. The only«homemade» part of that pizza was removing it from the box and plastic wrap to slide it in the oven. On top of that, they gave him a «Sausage Deluxe» which is basically the Super minus the pepperoni. I was going to try the Irish restaurant next door, Coleman’s. However, that is owned by the same people as Fairground Inn. I’d expect the same and will avoid. I recommend a pass on the two restaurants. Didn’t see anything«homemade» as they advertise.

My husband and I were visiting in the area and stopped in for lunch. We had heard that their pizza was great. We ordered a side salad with the. Supreme Pizza. This was the second best pizza that we have ever had. The crust was thin but not crusty. The sauce mildly sweet. The topping fresh. Loved, loved the pizza. Salad was excellent although just slightly heavy on the dressing. Recommend this restaurant!

I visited friends in Watertown July 2014& ate here(sorry for the late review). I had the Reuben with corned beef. I’m very picky about my Reubens & I find it difficult to find a restaurant that does it well. It was without a doubt the best Reuben I’d ever had! I’d never had it open-faced before & loved it. It was topped with delicious cheeses, including Parmesan. But the most heavenly part was the corned beef… it melted in my mouth! It was packed with flavor as well. What they call Russian dressing, in Kentucky it’s called Thousand Island dressing. Service was great for our large group. Everyone enjoyed the food they ordered as well. It was a great value too. For some reason, Kentucky just does not have the same Corned Beef as NY does! Would love to find a meat distributor where I could purchase some of that NY Corned Beef. If I lived in Watertown, I’d eat there very often!

Service was great. Boyfriend said the fish is some of the best he’s had in the area. The homemade mac and cheese is great! I ordered some to take home. Chicken Parm Sandwhich was simple and tasty. Our food was out in less then 10 minutes of ordering, the waitress was great! Highly recommend for simple home cooked meals.

Grew up living in Watertown and then I had to move. Knew this was going to be a place I would miss. Came up to visit and had lunch there and it was amazing! The Cesar Salad was phenomenal! The service was amazing too. If your in Watertown you have to go the Fairground Inn

Stop in whenever in Watertown. Always excellent service, warm, comfortable, family friendly environment and very good old school Italian food.

Mediocre food that was eaten while listening to a group of loud drunk men. Won’t be back.

We came here for lunch. Menu is huge, something for everyone, no real theme, a little overwhelming. I couldn’t tell what kind of food they specialized in. I recommend you simplify your menu. I got the beef dip and chips. The beef was shredded, so it kept falling out of my roll. A little irritating when your trying to dip it in Au Jus. My companion had a spinach salad that looked amazing. They had the house dressing that was so tasty. I would’ve bought the dressing alone if it was in a glass bottle, but it was only in a plastic container. I would’ve liked to take some home in my luggage.

This is one of my all time favorite restaurants in Watertown. We come here every time we visit family. Today I ordered house salad and house dressing with crumbling blue cheese and for my lunch I ordered buffalo chicken sandwich. The salad was amazing and the side bread melted in my mouth. For my main course I ordered buffalo chicken sandwich. I was absolutely surprised that it was grilled not fried. This was one of the best buffalo chicken sandwiches I have had in a long time. Overall, my meal cost me just over $ 10 dollars and it was absolutely amazing. If you are driving through or visiting the area this place is a must.

I was excited when I first walked in. The atmosphere was really warm and inviting. But the service and food were not. I was with two friends and all 3 of our meals were very disappointing. To make matters worse, our server was horrible. It felt like we were inconveniencing her asking her for a refill or our check.

Great food. Great service. Great value!!! I will be back. Allyson was my server and she was on her game. Turkey club was loaded with ingredients. Italian bread it was served on was fresh!

We brought some out of state family and friends here for dinner on a Wednesday night. There were 11 of us altogether… 8 adults, 2 teenagers and an always hungry year-and-a-half-year-old(lol). It took quite a while to be seated(even though we called to let them know we were coming) and quite a while to get our food too. I was excited to try the pizza logs but, they sound much better than they actually tasted. Just kinda bland. Although, I did like the flavor of the tomato sauce you dip them in. There was quite a variety of things ordered but, I can only comment on the ones I tasted. The others said the calamari was good but calamari isn’t good in my book. My eldest son ordered the 12 oz sirloin steak cooked medium and it was very tasty. My youngest son ordered spaghetti with the tomato sauce and he liked it. My husband ordered the Italian combo(it looked very unappealing in my opinion). He said it was really good and even ate the leftovers the next day. My mother-in-law got the chicken broccoli alfredo and she really liked it. I’m not usually a fan of alfredo but I tasted it the next day warmed up and it was fantastic. The alfredo sauce wasn’t as heavy as what I’ve had in the past(which is why I’m not a fan of it) and the flavor was very good. I ordered the half-pound(because there wasn’t a smaller one) burger club which should’ve been awesome but the meat seemed to have no seasoning whatsoever. It was cooked well though. Other things ordered were the bleu burger and the bbq burger which were received well. Oh yeah, I also tasted their house salad topped with ranch and it was good. All in all, not the best experience but, not bad. I’d try it again with less people.

This restaurant reminds me of all the reasons I left Watertown and some of the reasons I miss it. The food is poor. It is typical Watertown Italian food — nothing authentic or special about it. But the people make the place. The waitress sat at our table, got at eye level with our four year old, and took her order. The patrons are the same old people who came the last time I was here over twenty years ago. They were old then too. In sum, if you are from out of town looking for a good meal this may not be the place for you. If you are local looking to connect with old and new friends — pull up a seat.

My family and I came here and was disappointed. The food wasn’t that great and the population is gear more towards the elderly population in my opinion. Will not be coming back here

We love to eat here for date night without the kids. However, we have taken our kids and they like it too. The food is very good. The only thing I have not liked is the manicotti and only because I was pretty sure it was frozen manicotti with jar sauce. I can do that at home. All of the other dishes are delicious and we have never been disappointed.

We really wanted to this place. After fishing the Black River for steelhead a friend of ours told us one family owned a bunch of great Italian restaurants in town and we had to go to Fairground. We did. And, after reading the reviews here it didn’t take much to realize that locals(who don’t eat in many other cities) love this place. And, out of towners leave questioning the authenticity of the food, as we did. The sad thing is the service here is wonderful. Our waitress was awesome. She had great energy, was helpful and attentive. Meanwhile, the food fell far short of expectations, unfortunately. If you’ve eaten good/real Italian elsewhere, this place is going to disappoint you. However, to give credit where it’s due, the portions here are huge and there’s great value to be had, if you aren’t keen on great taste. Another thing to consider is the clientele here seemed very old. Therefore, value reigns over taste. And, value rules here. Every meal literally can feed two. Huge! We ordered a pizza, that honestly was the worst I’ve ever eaten, even worse than pizza hut. We each took one bite and left the rest.(They ended up taking it off the bill). The sauce had no flavor and the dough was terrible. Honestly, it tasted like gas station pizza, which had been sitting under a warm light for hours, like you’d expect at a 7 – 11. The pasta itself tasted ok. I had it with a meatball and piece of sausage. The sausage was awesome, but the meatball lacked any flavor. The biggest letdown was the sauce. One comment on here was that it tasted like it came out of a can. I couldn’t agree more. Although my friend said he broccoli alfredo was ok, Sorry if this review seems negative, but we can only comment on what we were served. Again, if you don’t remain honest and truthful(even when it hurts) people won’t respect your reviews.

Pretty disappointing. Went with the family to share a meal while I was in town. Upon first glance inside, the décor offered a nice cozy feel to it while simultaneously playing top 40 music a little too loudly overhead. The lighting was also surprisingly dim for a place such as this, with the sole television screen in the dining area shining a steady hue of blue light over everyone from constantly having a bingo gambling game displayed. Not really sure what they were trying to pull off here as far as ambiance goes. Nontheless, between us all we had the chicken parmigiana, buffalo chicken sandwich, beef bourguignon special, and the manicotti. I was informed the special was fine but oversalted. The spaghetti with marinara that came with my chicken parm came out lukewarm while the chicken itself was a great temperature. I hate to be over dramatic but the sauce tasted like it came straight from a can, and that can must have been from the bargain foods supplier. I’ve had Ragu that was better! Honestly, this can only be a product of their menu being too large. There were way too many items on it. I felt bad for the cooking staff.

Great food, service, prices, and portions. The clam chowder may be the best I have ever had. It was that good. For my meal I had the hot mix sandwich which was italian sausage and meatballs. The sandwich is a fork and knife type with sauce completely coving it. The meatballs and sausage were very good. I added some fries and they were really overcooked. The only thing that wasn’t good was the fries, not worth adding them. The sandwiches are huge. I had to leave a lot of the the bread and just eat the inside! The service was freindly and fast especially for how packed the place was. Great selection, cute home like atmosphere, and great location just a little ways down the road off the highway. Worth not stopping at the places right on the highway. Take the minute to head down the road if you are passing through!!! Did I mention that this place was really reasonably priced!
