I walked in with my husband. His order was taken. One girl prepared his order. The other girl skipped me, and started taking orders from the people behind me. I got tired of waiting and walked out. Apparently, it wasn’t worth the wait anyway. My husband tossed his iced mocha in the trash.

Cute place, beats the heat and oddly had just the flavor I was looking for(coconut almond chocolate chip). Not the most fantastic ice cream I have ever had(a little ice crystally) but worth every penny of the $ 3.65 I spent on one scoop for the ability to sit in air conditioned comfort and use the facilities on a really hot humid afternoon in Washington! Restroom was a little dirty /messy but was at end of day so to be expected I guess. Only accepts cash but has an ATM inside if you need it. Across the street from a bar inside an old bank which had a live New Orleans style jazz band playing outside when I was there.

One of the only espresso machines in the county. The staff could use a few more lessons on the art of good espresso. I ordered a double espresso and the young lady confessed that she didn’t know what that was. However, in a town completely devoid of even a mediocre coffee shop this presents an opportunity for an espresso. The ice cream is Hershey’s. Not the best, not the worst. It’s clean, easy to get in and out of, and parking is a breeze.

Perhaps the only ice cream shop in Washington(correct me if I am wrong), Scoops is a decent place to get out of summer heat and have a nice ice cream. They serve the default Hershey’s ice cream which is not bad, but nothing noteworthy either. All in all, a fine place for a treat.
