I Must stop here when ever I visit Washington. You order at a Window –typically, head to left window for ice cream and right window for food-taken from an employee that’s most likely worked there their entire life. Large Vanilla Coke and double cheeseburger.

Delicious sausage egg and cheese — order it however you want. I got some mayo. Some guy beside me got mustard. Ample parking, that’s a plus. I’d go back tomorrow, I want to try something else since in know the sausage is delicious. Small tea is not an understatement. Cash only. Small town vibe

I hate how much people love to give this place a hard time. I’ve always loved Dairy Palace. It’s a Washington icon, and their banana milkshakes can’t be beat. Burger and fries are good too, and the group working here is so nice.

The Dairy Palace is basically a concession stand like you might find at a small ballpark. You park your car, order from one of the hairy-chinned ladies at the window, and enjoy a fairly tasty bit of chow. Try a grilled cheese sandwich or a hot fudge sundae. The only seating is a rickety picnic table, so most people dine on their dashboards or tailgates. As far as I know, there are no restrooms. Either way, this is one of the few eateries in Washington that has managed to stay in business as long as I’ve been alive. Perhaps that’s for a reason.
