Upshur Grocery and Deli

It’s a new deli that’s been open since Friday ⁸⁄₁. They have burgers, sandwiches, pizza, smoothies etc. It’s located in the back of the convenience store.
The first time I went I got the burger, fries and soda for $ 4.99. Pretty tasty and a good value.
I went again the next day and got a smoothie for $ 2.50 which was delicious and a pretty good deal. Unfortunately, I can’t recommend the chicken sandwich — it was just microwaved chunks of frozen chicken and the meat ended up being really tough. Not worth $ 4.99 unless they quit using microwaved chicken and just grill a fresh chicken breast… If not for that, this place would be 4 stars.
I’ll probably call ahead and pick up food from here often when I’m golfing over at the old soldiers home, but the menu is a little hit or miss and next time I’ll ask how they cook the dishes before I order them to avoid another microwaved meal.
