The Great Escape Room

We had a great time! We didn’t manage to escape in time, but we were really close and the attendant let us finish up anyway. I would definitely come back for a new room. The entrance area with the exposed brick was slightly spooky in a perfect way. The staff were really friendly and helpful. I walk by the sign every day on my way to work, and I’m really glad I took the plunge!

the place is run down. I’ve been to better. The game was actually the hardest I’ve played. And I’ve played at least 3 of these already. We made the best of it. I would look at others Escape rooms first…

The room and reception area could use a little sprucing up: some dusting and a good cleaning. The entrance is a bit confusing too since there are two entrances apparently. That is where my criticisms end. I came here with my department for a «team building day» and we decided to start the day off with this.
The puzzle is 90 minutes and you have someone in the room with you to help you if anything goes wrong (we had some items get jammed and we needed help to open them). He also gives you three chances to ask puzzle-​related questions if you find one of the three keys for that (I’d recommend not using those up in the beginning and being strategic with how you use them– use them to ask questions that would then answer several more questions in return). There are literally clues EVERYWHERE and it is important that you pay attention to Sherlock Holmes’s instruction of checking EVERYTHING.
I’d also say this particular puzzle may be better for larger groups. We had four people and man, was it tough. The guy said we actually did pretty good for a group of our size (we did not escape). Also note the current lowest escape time posted in the reception area for extra motivation.

It was so much fun! We didn’t escape, but the puzzles were really clever and we had a great time! Nothing was too frustrating or annoying, it was all really exciting and enjoyable! Highly recommend for a group of people to try it!

This was AMAZING! I’ve done room escape puzzles before, and this one was excellent. Sherlock is a great, accessible theme, and this puzzle was well constructed and very engaging. I’m in town for the weekend for a family reunion, and the owner was SO helpful in getting us registered and answering my questions about the age appropriateness for the kids who were with us. The puzzle monitors were fun, friendly, and engaging, giving us just enough help to keep us moving without making it too easy. This is an amazing activity generally and this group does a fantastic job of providing a great experience. Next time you’re looking for something to do with a big group, skip the museum or an over priced movie with stale popcorn — go attempt a great escape!
