Came here for a vegetarian group dinner. I got the Age Dashi Tofu as a starter which had a yummy broth. Then I had the vegetarian sushi entrée which was nothing exceptional, but still very filling. I loved the vegetable tempura though(although I usually never get it because it’s too fatty). Our waiter Q(?) was the sweetest guy. Not only was he cute but he was reminiscing about how he used to live in South India(what!) and wanted to know where he could get some Dosa! Ahh India always has its loyal fans doesn’t it?

Great place for a group! I came with my vegetarian group and they were very accommodating. The vegetarian sushi platter was huge and I ate every last bite!

The food was so good. Chef made us a special plate and i recommend spicy tuna, yellow tail, and rockfish. Ice cream and fried bananas was really good to. If you are in the mood to start with something lighter try the sea weed salad. Everyone was really nice, service prompt, and food was well coursed

Good sushi and a fair selection of other Japanese offerings. Excellent price/value ratio. Friendly neighborhood atmosphere. Quiet, unless there happen to be especially noisy patrons.

Sushi Keiko catered a small gathering for me. They did a terrific job and the price was very reasonable. I was concerned about not having enough food and they didn’t try to upsell. In fact, the person I dealt with told me not to worry, I’d have plenty of food.(Then he threw in more when I picked up the platter.) Nice people, great restaurant to have in Glover Park!

Doesn’t worth your money at all! Sashimi is kinda warm, not fresh enough. The bento box there are just depressing too. I think the owners are really trying to get to the level but it just doesn’t make the effort. I have to go to Kintaro on M St for ramen(really good for just $ 10) or anything more authentic or fresh. This place just really confuses me!

As a Japanese person, this place was really quite disappointing given the good reviews it had. Overpriced with little sashimi on their chirashi, all their sushi rice was undercooked and hard. Not worth your money.

This place is just great. Very fresh fish, wonderful service and a quiet space upstairs if the downstairs is too crowded. Only here for the weekend but will come back when I’m in town again! David, the gentleman who helped us, was very kind and understanding of our individual requests. Great local spot!

Our new favorite neighborhood spot!!! This place is awesome, atmosphere is nice and food is DELISH but the people really make it. The place was pretty full but they acted like we were the only people in the place and proceeded to give us the royal treatment, bringing out comped items and just authentically excited and appreciative of our business. Highly recommend this place!!!

Been here at least ten times and I can say that they have awesome sushi at a decent price. Preparation is second to none. The fresh wasabi is always a plus. Staff is attentive.

Located in the building that housed Sushi-Ko(one of DC’s first sushi bars) for several decades and even has the Japanese chef that worked there for the last 15+ years. I wasn’t a huge fan of Sushi-Ko, but Sushi Keiko didn’t step up its game. The menu is a mixture of Americanized flavors and fusion attempts at Nihonryori. The sushi chef is a very nice guy and has great communication with those at the counter. Unfortunately, the raw materials he is working with, especially the quality of the fish, are not first rate and certainly not worth the Georgetown menu price. Not very many places in DC for real and GOOD sushi, but I’d recommend frequenting those or heading up to NYC for more authentic flavors and quality.

I’m glad there’s a sushi place in Glover Park again! The food seems pretty similar to what Sushi-Ko offered, and the price seems the same as well. I usually get take-out since the restaurant is a little cramped when dining in(even in the upstairs area). My one complaint that I also had with Sushi-Ko is that I feel like the rolls tend to be on the smaller side. And the edamame that we had with our take-out was burned somehow… otherwise a solid place for sushi take out!

I’m so glad this sushi joint finally reopened. Our neighborhood was in desperate need of sushi, and this place did not disappoint. The sushi is very fresh. I’m quite the sushi snob, and the fish quality reminds me of eating in Japan, without the astronomical prices. The servers are warm and welcoming. They also are quick to correct any mistakes; I was halfway through my sushi before I realized that I had accidentally received someone else’s order. They comped what I already had eaten, and brought out everything that I ordered. Belly full o’ fish right now. I docked this place one star, because I sat at the sushi bar in hopes of ordering directly from the sushi chef. Unfortunately, sitting at the bar is mostly for entertainment… that is, if you’re entertained by watching a guy make a thousand California rolls for all those takeout orders. The waitress took my order and put it in front of the sushi chef standing in front of me. It’s like playing sushi-telephone. Also, the décor hasn’t changed since they reopened. One wall is entirely black, with nothing on it. It makes the place seem a bit dark, or lacking ambience, when really, this is a lovely, charming local restaurant.

Sushi Keiko is located right next to Good Guys strip club and kind of has a strange external appearance that may make you think it is a continuation of GG. But we investigated anyway because we were in dire need of good sushi. Good news: sushi was decent ! The restaurant is very narrow but was full of guests when we arrived which surprised us — I hadn’t noticed the popularity of this place before(though I believe it was recently rebranded). We ordered three rolls, an appetizer and drinks. All was delicious and we’ll be back for more

So happy to have sushi back in the neighborhood. We were regulars at Sushi-ko, and not happy that it closed. BUT sushi is back and the sushi is as good as it was in Sushi-ko, if not better. We did take out. The order was complete, the sushi was outstanding. Extra sauces, and plenty of chopsticks and napkins. Yay! Only four stars because they didn’t have Maine crab or spot prawns, but will soon I am told, then will change it to 5 stars. Great sushi at Sushi-Keiko, great service, super nice folks up front. Highly recommend a visit. AND valet parking!!!

Superb sushi right here in Glover Park! This is the first time I’ve liked an establishment enough to add it to Unilocal myself. This quaint spot has only been open for two weeks. In fact, the grand opening sign is what caught our eye and invited us in while strolling down Wisconsin Avenue looking for a late dinner. Everything we had was delicious. We started out with edamame and some vegetable tempura — two basic sushi bar standards that often go awry. Sushi Keiko delivered on both. In addition to the standard tempura sauce, they also provide a coarse, green salt for dipping. It sounds odd, but it was actually very good. For sushi, we had toro nigiri-style, and three rolls: spicy scallop(yes, please), a fantastically fresh yellowtail, cilantro, avocado and jalapeño, and another roll with salmon, shrimp tempura and cream cheese. I was impressed by the quality of the sushi — often times, restaurants can have decent rolls but the fish is mediocre. That was not the case here. The only thing I wouldn’t order again was the last roll. I think the cream cheese overpowered it, but that may make it a favorite for others. Service was fantastic. Nikki was our waitress, and she couldn’t have been sweeter. Dave is the owner, and he’s done an excellent job with this creation. We had such a nice conversation that he thanked us with green team ice cream. Just the perfect ending to a nice meal. Look forward to coming back soon! One more thing: Sushi Keiko will soon deliver. #score
