Children’s food. The cheese is all gummy and buttery. One of the reviews I read on Unilocal before I bought it was about how all the toppings had slid off when delivered; and this happened to mine. Perhaps this is a trend with this place. I expect more form a $ 20 pizza. Won’t order from here again.

Great pizza that isn’t burnt and tastes fresh! Have only picked up from them, so don’t know how the delivery service is. Have found the counter staff friendly and the pizza doesn’t seem to take that much time to get ready. Small seating area and limited parking — as others have mentioned.

Update 11/09/2015: Upon receiving a message from Mustafa M., I have this place another shot with delivery. My food delivery as 30 minutes late; the delivery person could not figure out the callbox AGAIN regardless of the directions of his to use being clearly written multiple times through my GrubHub order; the delivery person began to blow up my phone with text messages; and my food was cold. After a month, I can see nothing has changed about Angelico’s service, except that it has gotten worse. The food is decent, but the delivery people seem to struggle with figuring out how to use a callbox. This has stalled deliveries multiple times. I’d highly suggest avoiding delivery.

Delivery order is constantly late. Last time was over an hour late, on a monday night, and we live a 3 min car ride away. Super disappointed by the customer service. Called them, and a woman would simply tell me they were busy(it was a monday night). *sigh* I’d love to give them a better review, just frustrating.

Once again, the delivery pizza was amazing. Cooked perfectly with the cheese just started to crisp up around the edges. I really wish they would add a garlic sauce to their crust and then they would get a perfect 5 star review. On the up side, delivery was a bit faster this time and only took 30 mins which was fairly good considering traffic.

Unfortunately my visit here was not very good. I came here for a quick bite to eat with my good friend. As you can see on Unilocal, when you check in here you get 10% off. I showed the women at the front my phone. She insisted she get a code to write down. I simply explained that there was no code and that usually on there end they need to do something or, there is something on the register to punch in for the discount. She insisted it was not how it worked and she always gets coupon codes from people. I again explained that Unilocal usually doesn’t have that. I told her that’s usually on the cut-out coupons. Anyhow, she brought out something else to help who was not helpful. Since we were so hungry I said to forgot the 10% off. We ordered a large cheese pizza and got a few sodas. After waiting for about 20 minutes we got our meal. The pizza was not good at all. We are 3 slices cause we were to hungry and we left. Was very disappointed. Unfortunately I will not be returning. They have lots of other things to try though. Bathroom was not very clean. Small place. Maybe seats about 15 people. You can park on the street or park next door underground in the whole foods lots.

Needed a quick bite to eat that was close to work. Came here and got a slice of pizza and salad and ginger ale for $ 7.99! It’s one of their lunch specials. Pretty okay food.

Needed a quick bite after a long day of site seeing. I got a small pizza with half pepperoni and sausage and the other half was mozzarella and gorgonzola and for the price it was really good. Would have never thought to put gorgonzola on pizza till i came across this lil gem!

so-so pizza. They rely on the quantity of cheese they put on the pizza, not the quality.

Food and price hit the spot for a quick dinner. They don’t fully fill the Conolia.

This place is inconsistent at best. The last pizza I had was so bad that three large drunk men only consumed half of it. Their delivery is terrible and never seems to know where they’re going.

About a 2.5: My co-workers and I came here to grab some lunch — Angelico Pizzeria is in Glover Park, on the same block as Whole Foods. This restaurant originated from New Orleans, then made their way to D.C., having several locations throughout the DC Metro area(Tenleytown, Mt. Pleasant, Georgia Ave., Odenton in MD, and Fairfax & Arlington in VA). Their menu offers appetizers(bread sticks, hummus, eggplant dip, garlic bread, wings, etc.), salads, calzones, pizzas, sandwiches, pastas, wraps, rolls, desserts, and even catering services. I had the Italian Calzone, which was pretty monstrous; it was a nice crescent shape with a nice crispy crust, buttered and had some garlic salt on top. It contained a generous amount of prosciutto, Genoa salami, ham, pepperoni slices; some ricotta cheese, mozzarella cheese, and tomato sauce. I thought there was a lack of the tomato sauce, and the side of marinara was also kind of small — I just wished they gave you more sauce(I’m a huge sauce person!). Also the fillings of the calzone wasn’t hot — the cheese were still in its original ‘shredded’ form, and I would have liked it to be melty and gooey. The calazone itself tasted fine, but I think it would have been even better being cooked more and hot out of the oven. The restaurant itself is small with limited seating. Metered parking can be found up along Wisconsin Ave. +metered parking available on Wisconsin

Worst customer service I have ever experienced. We received two pizzas(over an hour after our order was placed) which were not what we ordered. Angelicos placed all of the blame on me for placing my order incorrectly and was extremely rude in the process. They offered no suggestions to rectify the problem even though we were not going to eat the two pizzas they had delivered. After 45 minutes of back and forth they finally offered to change one of those pizzas for the correct one. When the delivery person arrived another 30 minutes later she was cold and also extremely rude. I will never order from this place again and have never been treated so poorly by a restaurant.

i love Angelico’s pizza so much. People at work are probably annoyed because whenever we order pizza I’m like, «ANGELICO’S!!!» They have awesome sauce. They are awesome sauce. But they also have it. Sometimes I’ll order it at work and not tell anyone so I can eat the whole thing by myself. :(

Stopped here for dinner on the way home from Georgetown. Got the Italian calzone togo for $ 12. It was standard size from other calzone I’ve had, about the size of a 9 inch pizza folded over. Good amount of stuffing. What I really enjoyed way the cheese they put on top, really adds flavor to crust. I enjoyed the food, so why 4 stars? Mainly because of the price. I know I know it’s the norm for overpriced food up here in Glover Park, but this shouldn’t haven’t costed more than $ 10. Yes $ 2 matter for a student. I would like to give their lunch deals and pizza by the slice a try in the future.

Great pizza! I was fairly drunk, but it was better than jumbo slice. Cheaper, too. Crisp crust, plenty of cheese. I’d return!

It was a Friday night and I had been traveling all day. I was tired and in dire need of a chill night– watching a movie in pajamas and enjoying a pie of pizza to the face. I wasn’t in the mood for Domino’s– i wanted something more gourmet. If only 2Amy’s delivered… But anyway, I remember a friend telling me that Angelico Pizzeria is really good. I decided to order in delivery. I ordered a small Margarita Pizza(Light tomato sauce, mozzarella, fresh mozzarella, basil, tomatoes drizzled with olive oil) and a Caesar Salad. The food came right within the estimated time frame– which always makes me happy! When I opened up the bag– I was disappointed to see a small Caesar Salad. Nonetheless, I poured on the dressing and ate it all anyway. It was the same quality of one you’d get on a train. The pizza looked promising– it had a gourmet appeal to it(except for the gross strips of brown basil). Unfortunately, it lacked any flavor whatsoever. I did like that they used fresh tomatoes– but it was so bland, I had to dip the pizza in the Caesar dressing. Domino’s may not be the same type of pizza– but the quality is definitely better for delivery.

–Calzone review– Unlike most other pizza places, Angelico let you choose up to 3 toppings in addition to Mozzarella and Ricotta cheese. Their calzone was surprisingly good and cheesy. Buttery crust outside and heavy filling inside. This is much better than regular pizza. Definitely return to get more.
