The food is a bit on the heavy side but it is delicious. It might not be the fanciest, but it makes up for it with a fab spicy salsa.

Really, really boring and not very good mexican food. Why go here when you could head to Cactus Cantina or Guapos up the road? Or hell, nowadays, there’s even Surfside for tacos(although I prefer the other two).

I actually enjoyed Margarita’s. It’s a little hole in the wall that looks kind of shady, but the food is not bad. I agree with others, that it’s definitely not the best Mexican I’ve ever had, but it’s pretty good. I do love the salsa they bring out with the chips — very spicy and yummy. I had chicken enchiladas, which came with rice and refried beans. I was pleased with them — they came out sizzling and delicious.
The place is close to my office, so I’ll come here again for lunch, but I probably wouldn’t make a special trip. If you’re looking for amazing, authentic Mexican food, you might want to look elsewhere. But given the limited(good) food options on this stretch of Wisconsin in Glover Park, Margarita’s is a decent choice. FYI, the place is tiny, so I wouldn’t recommend large groups. EDIT: Margarita’s is now closed :(

Okay, so it’s not the best Mexican food in town. But they do try hard here! I came here three times, dragged by a friend who loved it, and each time the staff was so sweet and eager to help. The margaritas were pretty darn good. I think I got toasted, and forgot to actually taste the food. But my friend swore by the mole, and since he knows how to make his own, I trust his opinion on this. All in all, perhaps you won’t brave Glover Park parking just for Margaritas, but if you happen to walk by, it’s worth grabbing a margarita and a plate of mole.

Margaritas is especially good for one thing IMHO: mole sauce(prnounced molay. the silly program doesn’t like the special character«e» with the accent mark over it). If you like authentic mole, hard to find around here, this is a pretty good version. Not much to be said for the atmosphere, but solid menu of down-home mexican food. Muy bien!

The best thing about Margarita’s is the salsa. It’s very spicy and authentic, you definitely can’t buy anything like it in the stores. The food is pretty good, too, although it’s pretty expensive for what you get. The service is slow, but I think that’s because they’re always short staffed. It’s in a convenient section of Glover Park, across the street from the Blockbusters. It would be a good place for lunch, or a light dinner.
