This Starbucks isn’t bad; maybe they have taken heed of the negative reviews. It is right on the corner of 20th and L and it gets a lot of foot traffic but the line does move pretty quickly. I’ve always been greeted whenever I’ve approached the counter. I usually get an Earl Grey Latte and while it doesn’t come out super-fast, I don’t have to wait too long. I like that they carry coconut milk. Not much to say – if you’ve been to a Starbucks, you know they are pretty much one in the same(as far as product is concerned).

This is a busy location but the line moves fast. The baristas have a system for moving folks along which involves one person asking for your order and scribbling some semblance of your name on a cup and another to ring it up. The cold prepared food is in a large case along the wall so it’s much easier to peruse than when you have to wait til you’re in front of the cashier trying to see what’s in the case. Then again, it’s Starbucks. The selections don’t change that often. There are 42-tops and 4 comfy chairs but zero outlets that I see. Boo hiss to that!

This location is not an accurate representation of the Starbucks name. My first experience here was OK, but today was ridiculous! There were two people ahead of me in line when I arrived, and four people behind the counter. No one was being helped. The gentleman in front of me kept looking around wondering what was going on because the employees were chatting it up and laughing while we were waiting. Then they all walked to the back and left us. still waiting! It seemed as if they were in the middle of a shift change, or perhaps training new staff(poorly I might add). The place was filthy! The cover for the baked goods was wide open the entire 15 minutes it took me to get a drink. I finally order and pay. The person ahead of me got his beverage. Then everyone disappeared in the back again. I stood there, politely waiting, amd just as I was about to make an inquiry about my order the girl looked and noticed my drink had beed started, but not finished. It was a cup of syrup just sitting there. There was so much ice… two to three rows — unbroken! I had to take it out to get my straw in. For the amount they charge for coffee they need to get it together! I’d say go up a few blocks to the next Starbucks.

I have to write this review to let people know how rude, reckless and disrespectful the staffs are in this location. I work near by and get coffee from this location couple times. They got my order wrong not just once, but couple times. And they were rude about it and extremely disrespectful. I was trying to be nice, but I can not eventually. Have to walk couple blocks to get my coffee from now on.

WORSTSERVICEEVER. Those girls are rude. Rude is actually an understatement. Every time I go they get my order wrong, along with all my coworkers. It’s really sad how bad of a reputation this location has. This location surrounds young business professionals, doctors, lawyers, and yet they hire the sassiest girls ever?! Management needs to step up. By the way, I am a frequent coffee stopper, this isn’t a review after 1 occasion. This is because of the continuously terrible service.

I have three complaints: 1. Rude staff, 2. Inattentive staff, and 3. Huge crowd /long line. This used to be my prefered Starbucks because it is close to my office and it is close to the metro station. There are almost always two really long lines, one for paying and one for waiting for drinks. It is kind of understandable that there are long lines because it is close to the metro and it is surrounded by offices, but it could also be because of understaffing. However, every time I go, the baristas are not friendly, and it seems like they do not like their job. One time, I arrived at 550AM(they open at 530AM), I was the only person in the store, the two employees saw me directly, but they made me wait to take my order… they didn’t even tell me that they needed to finish setting up the equipment. The last time I went, I asked for(what to me is) a very unusual order(grande, blonde-roast, soy misto with less milk). The lady who took my order was very polite. I heard them call out an order exactly like mine, and saw that a costumer that had been behind me in line took that drink. It confused me because I thought she had taken my drink. So I asked the employee who took my order if that drink was mine, giving the benefit of the doubt and very politely, since I did not want the other costumer to take the wrong drink, and I also did not want to wait for my order if someone had already taken it. The employee who took my order politely said that my order was in process and that it would come out soon — though I noticed that at that moment a barista grabbed a cup and asked her what my order was. When my order came out, the barista that made it said: «Here is the soy misto someone was crying about.» I thought that was so insolent. There is better service and deals at Au Bön Pain next door, so I’ll either go there or walk a few more blocks to a different, customer-respecting Starbucks.

Well well well, another Starbucks that isn’t necessary considering there are 3 other Starbucks within 1 – 2 blocks from my building. I rarely review chains and I try to avoid them. Yet sometimes I find myself checking them out just for the convenience. The staff is friendly even though the items are overpriced and the lines aren’t that bad. You know how major chains work: seen one, seen em all. And that’s how this one definitely feels.

I’m a total Starbucks snob, so I am a bit biased when it comes to this coffehouse. However, for a brand new team in a brand new location, this is one of the best Starbucks stores I’ve been to. The line is usually always long, but given that I don’t feel like the wait is excessive. Everyone is pleasant at this location, and pretty responsive. I give them 2 thumbs up!
