Very, very busy Starbucks because of the zoo, but the store is always clean and the staff is generally polite. A barrista goofed up my order and the store manager was very nice and immediately corrected the problem. Will definitely continue to stop here… even with the crowds. Also, I love the improvements that were made in the last few months, really made the store look nice.

I love this Starbucks! They make the best Soy Chai. I have tried Soy Chai at several Starbucks in DC and Maryland and this Starbucks makes the best. The temperature of the Chai is just right and the drink is not too sweet. Love it, love it, love it.

Perfect location across the street from the zoo. It’s a nice Starbucks, always clean and staff is friendly. There are tables indoors and out so it’s a nice place to zip your beverage and relax It’s a medium size coffee house so during touristy season it can get packed. If you don’t see the item you want on the shelves just ask, there’s not much shelf space so not everything is out for you to see.

Fair to say that most Starbucks locations are similar. Yet, considering how much traffic this location gets, it is surprisingly clean. The staff are also very friendly. The goods behind the glass are, expectedly, not delicious.

Always a busy Starbucks because it is right across the street from the Zoo. I always seem to go at the times that it is not super busy which is nice because I am in and out. The staff is very pleasant and always gets my order right. Also they spell my name right too. Anyway would definitely make sure to go at off hours especially on the weekends since the Zoo seems to always be busier on Saturdays and Sundays.

I never spend any money here. I make water pit-​stops here when I’m running with my dog. Their customer service is superb; they always deliver the water in an oatmeal container so it’s easier for my dog to sip on.
I totally wrote a letter to the corporate office saying how awesome they are, and I hope they get the recognition they deserve!

For Starbucks — this is an incredible location. It is easy to feast on caffeine starved parents who are taking their off-​spring to the zoo directly across the park. It also was a lot cheaper (and better tasting) than the hot chocolate offered by the zoo during Zoo Lights. Always crowded and the staff is slow, but they aren’t rude.

The zoo and coffee. Perfect! We had to sit outside as this Starbucks was absolutely packed. Fortunately the outside seating is spacious and nobody was smoking nearby. Quite an exciting visit as an ambulance and a fire truck zoomed up and gave medical assistance to a man who was asleep on a bench. My vanilla latte tasted great!

My favorite Starbucks in DC! During the day it is filled with crowds of tourists but once the sun goes down it is calm and a gorgeous place to sit outside and enjoy Woodley Park. The staff are amazing. Super friendly and sweet. Great neighborhood hangout.

It’s a Starbucks. They were polite, but not overly friendly. My drink was good. It was convenient to the National Zoo, and only a short walk from my hotel. It looked like I might have showed up after a little bit of a rush, and it could’ve used a little cleaning. But otherwise, a good experience. I’d go back there.

I’m shocked by the positive reviews! This place SUCKS!!! Every single time I come here, it is so dirty, disorganized, crowded, HOT, and generally icky. The line is either a mile long OR there is no line to order but a year-​long line waiting for drinks. It’s amazing that with three people churning out drinks, it took me and my friend FIFTEEN MINUTES to get 2 cups of coffee. Like … just let me hop the counter and fill up my own cups, thankyouverymuch. I avoid this Starbucks location like the plague.

Best Starbucks in DC. I’ve been coming to this regularly Starbucks for 10 years, and I’ve been to almost every Starbucks in DC as well as every Cosi & Caribou, and the staff here is consistently the best in DC. They have difficult clientele at times with all the Zoo visitors, but they handle the crowds & difficult customers as well as humanly possible. I have never gotten a bad drink here, which is miraculous considering how many I’ve ordered here. They have had many great employees over the 10 years I’ve come here. It’s a very well-​managed Starbucks. It’s small-​ish in size for the amount of business they do, but there’s nothing that can be done about that. They have a nice little outdoor seating area.

It’s a Starbucks. you’d expect the coffee drinks to be the same at each location but it’s technique sensitive and the taste does differ from location to location. This one had a solid mocha frapp and plenty of space to sit.

I love Starbucks but hate the service at this location. The cashier was awful and rude. I ordered 3 drinks and was only given 2– despite paying for 3. Then I asked a question about prices — she said she doesn’t care and rolled her eyes.

I am glad that this location is right across the street from the main entrance to the zoo. It is very easy to grab something and go over to the zoo. There are a few tables in front too. I always find it surprising that folks sit there instead over at the zoo.

Coffee and tea are always good here. I recommend here the vanilla latte, mochas, caramel macchiatto, and Americano. There’s is less food here than at some Starbucks.
They have only street parking. There is a lot of seating for a Starbucks, especially outside. This Starbucks is across the street from the zoo, so there can be lines on nice Saturday and Sunday afternoons. At other times, it is not crowded.
Overall, this is a good place to go if you are near the zoo.
