Ordered at 530. By 700 no pizza. Called store said driver left quarter after six. 5 blocks away. Don’t bother ordering pizza here. Delivery is horrible

I order for my department at this location all the time and the service used to be good with the ordering but recently the manager has had an attitude there is a delivery driver that is completely RUDE. So rude I would give a negative star rating you would think spending $ 500+ at a place they would at least not be rude to you. the last time I ordered from there was last week and it is my very last time ordering at this location. Take my advice and go somewhere else!

Great Service! Fast and accurate delivery resulting in a hot pizza at my door in less than the estimated 40 mins. Thanks to McQueena for being the best delivery driver! She went out of her way to provide friendly top notch customer service.

I’ve been overseas in the Navy for three years and a buddy and I decided to hit up DC for the weekend. After some drinks we decided to order pizza from Papa John’s because we haven’t had it in over three years. We ordered online, and after waiting for over an hour I decided to call. The person who answered the phone told me the pizza was on the way, but didn’t sound too assuring. I waited fifteen more minutes and the pizza was finally delivered. It was cold! Ofcourse. This totally made me want to never order from a Papa Johns again. No one should have to wait for over an hour for a pizza and for it to be cold.

My roommate and I ordered through the website(done it a million times before with other Papa John’s stores) but after the pizza is 30 min later than they said it would be we called and they said«Yeah, the driver called you 30 times, I looked at his phone log» They never called. We also made the order online, I’ve gotten emails when things have gone wrong, no emails this time. If we hadn’t called they wouldn’t have said anything. The guy on the phone asked if I wanted the pizzas still, I asked if they’d be cold, he said yeah. I said I wasn’t going to pay for cold pizza. He said he’d cancel the order and then hung up. Awful service, there are PLENTY of other pizza places to order from in this city. Find one that’s not this place.

My husband and I love Papa Johns and have ordered from some great store locations in Arlington and Alexandria. We recently moved into the city and ordered delivery from the closest store to us — we’ve ordered twice and have been so disappointed! The first time it took over an hour to receive our pizza. It was cold and the crust wasn’t the same as it normally is. It was way too thin. We ordered from this store again last night. We were supposed to receive our pizza within 30 – 40 minutes. After waiting over an hour, we called the store to complain. They said they would send us another pizza in addition to the one we already ordered with a 2-liter soda and wouldn’t charge us for anything. The second pizza also took over an hour to arrive and they didn’t bring the soda. Both pizzas were cold, although tasted better than the first time we ordered. We’ll be ordering pizza from somewhere else from now on.

This papa john is my piZza spot. The staffs here are really friendly and the food is decent for the price. Today, I ordered the works, it’s delicious.

My office regularly orders it when a manager with poor taste decides to throw a party — Welcome to the Federal Government!!! It’s reliable, in that you know what you are going to get. I would happily never eat it again. It’s processed food made to look like pizza. «Better Ingredients, Better Pizza» reminds me of 100% bullsht marketing like sating«all natural» or «fresh.» With &Pizza offering similar prices for outstanding and inexpensive pizza, I hope this joint’s days are numbered. Amusingly, it’s opposite wiseguys, where three AMAZING slices might run you more than a pie at Papa Johns.

I have never had a problem ordering from this Papa John’s. They are always within the estimated time frame, the pizza is hot and is as ordered. Tonight, however, I was thoroughly disappointed. After receiving my pizza, a got a call from a Maryland number saying that he was the manager of the store I had just ordered from. He was calling me to «apologize for the driver peeing on my door knob because he was unhappy with his tip» and then asked me if it was okay to charge more to my credit card. After I hung up, he called back to say it was a prank call. After calling the store directly, the manager told me that he had given out my phone number to someone who has just called«from corporate». Clearly the person was not actually from corporate. As the manager was very apologetic and explained the situation to me in detail, I can only fault him for GIVINGOUTMYPERSONALINFORMATION to someone that he had not verified as actually being from corporate. All in all, be weary when giving out personal information, never give out your credit card information over the phone, and ask twice if you want this Papa John’s to give out your phone number to random people who may or may not harass you later. I will continue to order from this Papa John’s, but will probably do so over the phone, where I can remind the order-taker to not give out my phone number under any circumstances. A truly inadequate judgement call by the management of this Papa John’s.

Its a cold, rainy November day in DC. I eat really late. Today, I was feeling like I needed to eat sooner than later. I weigh my options — go out in the cold & rain OR figure out a place that delivers… PAPAJOHNS! I hunted for various online deals and found a really good one. 3 toppings for a large pizza for $ 10. Deal! Placed my order at 3:20PM. Received my email confirmation at 3:23PM that it would be delivered in 30 – 40 minutes. At 3:45pm I received a call from the driver to meet him downstairs(I’m at work) Voila! My pizza arrived just as I ordered it — hot, fresh and looking so good. Yummy!

This might be, NO, this IS the worst Papa John’s I have ever visited. Nothing professional here at all. I’ve had coworkers order delivery from here and seen it take 1 hour plus, then be cold, or wrong, in addition to the delivery fee which is somehow not a tip. So I decided to see if carryout service was better. I placed my order online, then went to the store. As I walk in I see them put two pizzas on the rack. The lady at the register asks my name. I reply Adam. She says okay, then gives me my receipt. Then she disappears. 5 mins later a guy comes and asks my name. I say Adam. He says okay. Then he disappears. I wait another 10 mins. Meanwhile the cook is cleaning the assembly row standing in a chair. She obviously couldnt reach behind where she was trying. But more importantly she wasnt cooking which made me think my order might already be done. I try to ask the drivers, but they don’t know and are two busy in a group of 5 – 6 telling stories, making jokes, and lollygagging in the front of the store. The guy comes back and says Adam, I say yes, then he hands me the pizza from the rack. The one I saw get put there when I first walked in. So Im positive its cold. And Im right, luke warm. I get to work and open the.box. Sloppy made pizza. I order the same thing from all the Papa Johns locations so I noticed the difference. So messy, too much sauce, cheese not even melted but somehow crust burned. Highly upset.

I ordered two pizzas and was promised delivery in 30 to 40 minutes. They arrived in an hour. The driver got out of his car and got the pizzas out of his trunk and slipped them into the insulated bag and brought them to me, apologized for being late and drove off. The pizzas were STONECOLD as a result of not being put into the insulated bag until seconds before handing them to me. One was cut into tiny squares making it impossible to handle. I emailed the store within 10 minutes of receiving my order. Emailed them a week later. Called twice. NORESOLUTION! So I have disputed the charge. I really dont know why I even gave these folks a second chance. Usually instead of delivering the pizza to my door, they deliver it to their car door and call me and ask me to come out to the curb to get the pizza! So I pay for delivery and still have to go get it. I live in a great neighborhood. This really isnt needed.

Terrible customer service as the delivery driver started yelling on the phone that he was lost. This was my first time ever ordering from Papa Johns, and will bet last. If Unilocal had a «Zero» star, this place would earn it.

I am being far too generous with giving this place one star. Let’s start with my initial call to place an order for pick up at 9:15PM last night. The ghetto girl answering the phone had piss poor telephone etiquette. She talked very fast in her DC ghetto uneducated voice that is all too familiar in the DC customer service circuit. Upon arriving, I parked outside and captured on my video phone five, yes five employees, some smoking cigarettes including the white guy who was the manager on duty at the time chill’n on the shared bicycles parked out front. After sitting in my car for at least 10 minutes(waiting for my order). I walked into the place to find the ghetto girl on the phone taking orders while TEXTING and showing her obvious frustration with the callers. After maybe 5 mins, the manager walks in, didn’t wash his hands, but did not handle any food items either. A minute later a young man walks in, washes his hands and did his thing in the back. Not one person acknowledge me until I snap a photo of the permits on the wall detailing the owners business mailing address. The young man from the back came up, I gave him my name, he proceeded to the rack to pick up my order. I said to him I have been waiting for a while and my food was just sitting there. His response was«food is in heat a contained box and will still be warm». I told him it is unacceptable to have customers wait as I did. He apologized with no sincerity. The Parmesan pizza was a waste of money, the wings were okay, but certainly not for what they charge. I live blocks away and will not go back there again unless hell freezes over. And we wonder why employers pass us up and hire the illegal immigrants. At least they will work and give you customer service the best they can even if their English is limited. In case you are wondering, I am as black as they come but will call out ghetto nonsense as I see it. I will post the video once I speak with the owners to get their side of why this place is like a zoo full of wild animals with absolutely no training.

What gives with this store. Call to place an order and they will only do delivery which takes over an hour. It was only 10pm. Why can’t they let you pick up the pizza? They’re ridiculous.

Having received awesome service from a Papa John’s location in Florida, I imagine that the corporate office would pretty upset to know the level of service or lack there of that this location gives to patrons. Tonight I actually called this location to place an order that was supposed to be complimentary courtesy of the store Manager Milton Douglas due to an incident two weeks ago where the delivery guy, Valeri Yankov Russev, called my cell phone to ask me to come out to the street to receive my pizza. I insisted that that Valeri deliver the pizza to my door as there is approximately a $ 2 delivery for the pizza to actually be delivered. When I questioned Valeri for the reason that he was not wanting to deliver the pizza to my door, he simply replied that he was too busy. As a customer of Papa John’s who has spent somewhere in the thousands I was livid. I immediately called the manager, Milton Douglas who profusely apologized for Valeri’s actions and promised to provide a free pie on my next order. Fast forward to today when I call the same location to order, I was placed on hold for 10 minutes. Assuming that perhaps I was forgotten about, I called back and asked to speak with Milton. Surprisingly, the same voice who had initially asked me to hold about 15 minutes prior ended up being Milton, the store manager. I explained to Milton that I was the customer from a couple of weeks ago who had the horrible experience with the delivery guy and that I was calling back for the complimentary pizza. Milton explained that there was another person ahead of me and again asked me to hold. Total wait time before even placing my order, now at about 17 minutes. At this point, I gave up and decided to order from a competitor instead. Unbelievable!

I find that Father John makes a delictable pie for this corner of the fine city of Washington, DC. The vegetables are picked from his backyard organic garden, as I understand, and the meat delivered daily from local farms. The vine ripened tomato sauces accentuates the luscious flavors of Northern Italy while the heartiness of the dough recalls summers in the Puttanesca Region of Cantabria. You have constructed a fine pizza of international caliber. Bravo Father John. Bravo.

Better ingredients, better pizza. Better get me a soapbox cause I’m about to disagree vociferously. To begin with, «better» is such a vague and relative adjective. Better than what? Certainly this pizza is better than school cafeteria pizza. It’s also better than the pizza I used to get from a chain called Gumby’s when I was was a freshman back in Ann Arbor. It’s even better pizza than the free pizza I had last year at the bowling alley! But it’s not better than about 90 percent of the pizzas you can get for the same price. For passable pizza, they charge a premium pizza price — the«deals» usually look good on paper, but then they add fees for modifications, delivery, add in the tip, and you won’t be getting a 2-item large delivered for less than $ 20. Which would be fine if the quality justified it. I feel like PJ’s used to make better, fresher pies but maybe they got too big for their britches and turned into more of a Domino’s-type establishment. Final straw for me was when they started putting one hot pepper in the box instead of two. Think your customers wouldn’t notice? Gotta love the butter sauce though. And I’ll admit, I like the way the pizza tastes better than most chain stores. Just drop the price a bit! I mean dammit, Gumby, it’s a recession!

Normally the service is okay(even«really good»), but twice the drivers have attempted to call me into the street to receive my pizza. I received a call from the driver’s cell phone requesting that I come down from my apartment and meet him on the street upon his arrival in 2 minutes. I told him that I refused and to cancel the order. Instead, he delivered the order to the door. This is unacceptable when I have placed an order for delivery to my door and paid a tip, in advance, for that service. This is the second time this has happened with this store. The first time, I complained to the store and they credited the entire order. Apparently the message was not delivered to the drivers that a delivery service does not mean that the consumer has to turn out into the street to receive their bought-and-paid-for order.

Pearl jam wrote a song about bugs a long time ago. It was kinda funny and cool. …mostly because it wasn’t –really– about bugs. It also wasn’t about bugs in a restaurant. I’ve ordered a few pizzas from here. I never will again: Yep. Not only do they have bugs, but they got closed temporarily for«Failing to minimize the presence of insects, rodents and other pests on the premises» This place should be avoided at all costs.
