Great Chipotle food, and pleasant staff, for the most part. There is one burrito maker woman who is not welcoming and seems to have an attitude, and appears almost bothered when getting orders requests from customers. It doesn’t take much to greet customers, and be polite, before taking orders at chipotle. It makes all the difference when the staff is nice and you don’t feel pressured when customizing an order. And when the staff isn’t pleasant I would rather avoid the restaurant.

This location has a more mature line staff that didn’t shout at me or push my order along at break-neck speed. Most Chipotle lines treat customers like nuisances and numbers. Most Chipotle order lines are about as pleasant as passing through airport security. Also to their credit, this location was not blaring jarring music that invites deafness and potential lawsuits from frequent customers and staff. Attention Chipotle: You have a diverse menu, food quality, and dedication to non-GMO ingredients. Don’t ruin the customer experience by making customers feel as though they ran a marathon through the line and must flee outdoors to hear themselves think.

Staff is pretty good. Last time I went the rice was a little hard but overall it’s just like any other Chipotle out there.

I eat here on occasion and every time I am underwhelmed by this unremarkable food. There were RAW pieces of chicken in my bowl I had to spit out, but I didn’t complain… They have no recycling for all the aluminum and paper products, yet green wash the shit out of the no GMO thing. They need to do more and be better. McDonald’s owns them right? Gross. Will always choose a local Mexican restaurant over these corporate slumlords.

I like going to this Chipotle more than the one on M street. The parking lot is barely anything, but street parking is easier to find near this one than on M street. It’s a small place with very little seating, but the line is efficient, and they make their way through the line pretty quickly.

As much as I am excited to have a Chipotle in the neighborhood, the experience is not exciting mainly because of the unfriendly staff. They just don’t seem happy being there. They don’t send good energy to the customer through a smile and a friendly attitude. At times, can also hear them address their concerns with other staff right in front of the customer. Other times, you need to wonder where is the cashier. Also, I think this chipotle should close an hour earlier than supposed to because they are rarely stocked up on the ingredients(rice, meats, etc) around 9pm so there is no point for customers to try to get a burrito past 9pm. Try Wholefoods or Surfside instead!

I agree with the reviews that said this chipotle should get NOSTARS. Ordered a bean burrito and soft veggie tacos for delivery and they arrived ice cold. Not cold as in no longer hot. Cold as in just pulled out of the refrigerator where it been sitting unnoticed in the back by someone who left it there and forgot about it cold. To heat it I had to dig out the wilted lettuce and sour cream and guacamole and put it in the micro. It was a gluey yucky mess. I should have dumped it in the garbage but I’d just returned from the west coast and didn’t eat on the plane and I was starved. I called the store and spoke to the manager and he apologized and said he was training new people. He offered me a free dinner for me and all my friends but I said no thanks because I wouldn’t subject friends to that food.

This Chipotle is just your average Chipotle. The service can be hit or miss depending on how busy they are or just a couple of rude employees having a particularly bad day. The food for the most part is consistent. I usually get a chicken burrito, but their chicken is not as lean as I would like it to be. So lately I have been ordering the barbacoa. This is a little spicier than I typically care for, but the meat is shredded and lean. My favorite combination is probably a brown rice, pinto bean, barbacoa burrito with light cheese and light corn. Chipotle serves as a walkway for locals to go back and forth between Wisconsin and Glover park neighborhood without having to go all the way up to Calvert. While waiting in line you will see numerous people, especially from Whole Foods, with shopping bags walking through Chipotle to return to their homes. For this reason you cannot cluster in the narrow hallway while waiting to order. You must line up against the wall otherwise these shoppers will run you over. Its is a well used short cut to them, even though you see it as a simple food line. The lines here can really get out of hand. Especially on a Thursday or Friday evening. Georgetown does not have very many fast food options, so this place gets hit hard. The seating is quite limited for how busy it is. There are two tables and a window bar in the front and in the back there are two tables with a wall island bar and stools. There is some more seating outside in back with a large parking lot. However, when it gets cold no one sits out there. There also is a large dumpster out back where all the rats live. Did I say rats? Yes I did. They are scary! You can hear them squeaking and fighting behind the wooden fence around the dumpster. One time I was sitting at one of the outdoor tables right outside Brueggers and a large rat kept on running right up to me multiple times. That was too much for me, I will not be eating outside again. I really think the city or Chipotle and Brueggers should do something about the rats right outside their back door that they are feeding with their garbage. It can’t be healthy for the surrounding neighborhood!

As a die hard Chipotle fan, I was super disappointed by this Chipotle. One night, I showed up about 40 minutes before closing, and they claimed to be out of white rice, corn, sour cream, and guacamole. Did they miss a shipment? Or were the workers just too lazy to bring more out from the back? They have very limited seating and both times I went, the tables were very messy. To top it off, the staff is horribly unfriendly. Never again. Update: So I said«never again,» but obviously I have(at the time of writing this) 7 check ins. Upgrading my review to 3 stars. The staff is really hit or miss. Sometimes they put appropriate portions, sometimes they are generous, sometimes they don’t listen to you and just throw random ingredients on. I’ve had good and bad burritos, but for the convenience of it, I’ll still be coming back.

I’d like to second the other reviews here. I just moved into the neighborhood and /had/to try the Chipotle. The burrito I got was fine and filling enough, in fact, it was above average – just about what I expect from a good Chipotle burrito. Couple demerits: –the wrap job was a little cumbersome, but I didn’t get filling all over my shirt, so that means something –the cashier was out in the back of the place doing who-knows-what, and took her time coming back to cash me out and seemed rude and inattentive –the place was messy(NOT dirty), just a lot of stuff lying around, etc. Bottom line: It’s close enough to warrant return trips, and I haven’t been offended enough to try a location farther flung.

I love me some Chipotle. I also love watching some Chipotle masters throw a food log together faster than I can switch from Magnum to AR in Halo 4. Sadly, that’s not what happens at the Glover Park location. The staff are friendly, but slow. And the one who seems to be in charge has trouble getting the tortillas to separate – so you’ve got a gal yelling at everyone else while she keeps throwing out one tortilla after another. Everyone else is waiting for her to pass the shell on down the line. It’s a regular occurrence, and it’s Awkward for everyone.

Really understaffed for a Friday night — expect long lines and excuses — no chips. Head to Tenley location where I should have gone. Slooooooow.

I live in the neighbourhood and frequent this Chipotle. I have always found the staff very friendly. Recently I noticed the staff are consistently better trained and managers are very visible. The staff still have communication issues, but that’s their only issue I can see. I had stopped eating anything but chips & salsa because of frequent inedible steak and nasty veg, but the overall food quality has improved along with the staff and I have resumed eating from the rest of the menu. Today everything in my bowl was perfect. I have been going to this Chipotle regularly for three years years and I will continue to do so except now more frequently and happily. I revamped this rating because they really deserve it. They have completely gotten my business back thanks to the internal improvements.

If I could give this place NO stars I would. The staff consists of I’ll-mannered, slow and nasty persons. The general manager, Eric Cox, is especially rude. plus, I saw him touch food on a previous visit without gloves on and sneeze. It took me a month to try and give it another shot. I saw saliva fly from his gross, cold sore edged mouth! When I called to complain about how I’d been treated there, he hung up on me! I do not consume dairy and when I saw great contamination with the guacamole. I pointed this out to the girl scooping the guacamole and she rolled her eyes. Then Eric Cox, the I’ll-mannered manager, had the nerve to scold me in front of a whole line of people. After he hung up on me, I called back. To my surprise, he answered. I told him to never hang up on customers. He threatened to ban me from the store. I am now in the process of dealing with Chipotle HQ. Poor customer skills aside(they won for being the WORST in customer service), the restaurant is filthy(I have seen bugs on the food pre-prep as well as a rat near the entrance. Never again wl I go here. And never again will I be treated in this manner and let a business get away with it.

I never thought i would have given chipotle a low rating. Chipotle has amazing food. My 2 star review is in regards to lack luster service. A rude and grumpy lady unwilling took my order and just had a bad attitude. Other chipotles in the area have definitely offered better service– the one in Cleveland park or Columbia heights or Georgetown for example. If this wasn’t the most convenient location for me, I will not be going here again.

Avoid this particular Chiptole if you can. First, the employees cannot properly wrap a burrito. The last three times I have been to this location, the burrito broke while being wrapped. Two of the times the employee just put it in the foil broken, making no effort to even fix the problem. Second, the employees refuse to mix the ingredients in the burrito before wrapping it. Never have I been to a Chiptole that flat out refused to help on this. Eating an unmixed burrito with lots of rice in one bite is not appetizing. Third, the employees have clearly been well trained to skimp on meat. I understand why they do this, but this is not the norm at most Chipotles I have been to. I generally enjoy the food at Chipotle, but I can no longer justify going to this location. Glover Park residents can do better for a quick bite

This store is great! The service is excellent, food is great for chipotle. Worst time to go is between 11:30 and 1 p.m. Any other time is great the line is usually short. Seating isn’t that great but always available.

«Life is burritoful.» Indeed, Chipotle’s mantra says it all. What usually happens to me after I visit a Chipotle joint is: an overstuffed stomach, a burning need to walk it off, and the perennial question for myself whether I should have held back from devouring all of my burrito or carefully dissected it and taken some of it back, in spite of the seemingly insurmountable hurdle that is the wholeness of this culinary creation and the fact that it might be an even more terrible disaster when the content falls out — I’m already quite inept at savoring a burrito in a gracious way and am afraid if I deconstruct one it will make me look completely barbarian. That said, the burritos are scrumptious, although options might be limited(about five?). I used to frequent another location in Golden Triangle while heeding the opinion of a friend who thought Chipotle burritos were a perfectly healthy combination of grains, meat, and veggies. That might be true, but they will only be healthy for me when I actually stop having both sour cream and cheese in my burritos. Nevertheless, my main predicament for Chipotle is the prices of some of its items. I understand avocados might be expensive, but is there really the need to charge one scoop of guacamole for $ 2.05? Three days ago when I visited this location I had a small bottle of Deer Park spring water — for $ 2.27. This was actually quite baffling for me as I don’t think I had ever paid this much for 20 ounces of Deer Park water(usually about half that price is normal?). While my chunky chicken burrito only cost $ 6.36, the extra guacamole and the bottled water were $ 4.32. However, service was friendly and fairly quick, as there weren’t that many people in there at 5:40pm on a Friday.

Chipotle has been a welcome addition to the roster of restaurants near my office in Glover Park. Even during the lunch rush, the line moves quickly and the quality never ceases. I’ve never eaten in at this location, which may be difficult, as there is not a lot of seating. The blond woman(I’m so sorry I’ve never caught her name) who heads up the line is always cheerful and friendly, making every visit there a pleasant experience.
