I always get hot sandwiches. They are huge so one usually serves me for lunch for two days.

Went by today and discovered it’s closed! It’s no wonder it is, in my couple of visits to it, I was convinced I should never come back — for multiple reasons. Apparently, alot more people agreed with me!

I stopped into Jack’s one day because I was attending a meeting in the area. It’s…eh. They make a lot of greasy sandwiches which can be good, occasionally. Other times, you’re just stuck with a stomachache for most of the afternoon. The cookies, which I guess are made in house, are inedible. So take this place for what you will.

I have given this place 2 or 3 chances thinking that maybe it was just me or maybe it was just an off day. I was excited to see they served a Reuben sandwich(my fave sandwich). UGHHHH… the worst sandwich I ever ate let alone a Reuben. I threw if it away. So next time I thought I would play it safe and get a cheeseburger… DISGUSTING!!! I have seen rotting fruit in there and the place is just an overall dump with horrible food. This is the first review I have ever written and if you knew me you would know that I am not a picky eater. I just felt it my duty to warn anyone thinking about this place to spend your hard earned money somewhere else… Lawson’s & Philips are pretty good

I’ve been going to Jack’s for years as it is less than a block from my office. I’ve never had breakfast here, but we are here at least once every other week for lunch. I’ve always only had sandwiches here and they have always been good. I think it just really depends on what one orders. They have at least two lunch specials each day, which are usually priced around $ 7 to $ 8 for a sandwich, fries and a soda. Yesterday my boss and I each ordered the BLT special $ 7 for the sandwich, chips, cookie, and soda. Not a bad price and we each commented on how it was one of the best BLTs we have had in some time(compared to Post Pub and Corner Bakery — our other standard lunch places). Plus everyone that works there is really nice.

I’ve been here a few times since it’s located at the first floor of my building, I was super hungry. Every time I go, I am outraged at the prices. $ 12 almost $ 13 for breakfast?!? You’ve gotta be joking. I got some scrambled eggs and sausage patties for my meal and bought a bottled drink to go with it. That’s all I got for $ 12! Ridiculous… So each time I went, I went because I was really hungry and had no time to go elsewhere to pick up a decent meal. Well, the last time my coworkers and I went, we saw some very unsightly, unhygenic things. We curiously peered into the kitchen while waiting for some food and found that they had placed their food bins on the floor. There’s a thing called a counter, you know? These weren’t just any food bins either. They were the already prepared food about to be placed on the food bar. Disgusting! On top of that, my coworker bought a salad off of the salad bar. She had put some olives on her salad. One of the olives did not look right, so naturally, she inspected it. She poked at the unordinary olive, screamed, and threw the whole salad in the trash and ran out. When she poked at the weird olive, it moved its little legs. I could have sworn it was a cockroach, but she swears it was a spider. Regardless of what species of bug it was, it shouldn’t have been there; and it sure wasn’t an olive. If Gordon Ramsey had seen this and the kitchen, he would have flipped out! Of course, we haven’t gone back since. I mean, who wants to pay a ton of money for bug-ridden food and food that was on the floor? Not me for sure.
