I have visited this restaurant for the first time and I love what they make here. I ordered a «Sucuklu Pide» and«Ayran» for drink. It was served really quick and fresh. The delicious smell and the taste of pide was great.

For years we have been unable to find good delivery pizza. We ordered delivery from Eat Joy and it was great. The crust was crisp and flavorful. Love the thin crunch. The sauce was nice and in good proportion. We had the pesto chicken pizza and a margarita with meatballs. Both were great. Delivery was on time even with rain.

I have never encountered such rude and disrespectful service at an establishment. From the moment my friends and I walked in the door, we were met with disdain and rudeness. The pizza was actually good. But I had little desire to eat it after seeing the state of the bathroom and the roach spray on the counter.

I used to go to Eat & Joy very often when I have classes at night. I am a fan of their Gyro Doner and specialty pizza. It has arguably the best value for Georgetown students around the area, with 50% on Mondays and Tuesdays. Even though they mostly do takeout orders, they have a comfortable dining area with WiFi connection. Their plates are also great and of great portions, when I feel like eating a lot I usually order their Gyro plate, which makes a great meal with lamb, rice salad and doner bread. One minor complaint I have is that their meat tend to be a bit too dry and a Turkish friend of mine told me that their taste is not authentic. Another is that once I waited for almost half an hour for my pizza to be delivered upstairs, only to find that it has been ready for a while because they thought I would be coming down to get it. So if you are dining in and sitting upstairs make sure you tall them you expect them to deliver your food. Other than that I’d highly recommend for GU students.

If you like falafel… this is your place. I have been on the hunt for falafel since i moved here 5 years ago and all but gave up hope. I was relegated to Roti or Lebanese Taverna in Tysons… I have tried it everywhere I can find it. Hands down… THEBESTFALAFEL! It is actually better than the authentic falafel I used to eat back home in Ohio. Do yourself a solid and order the falafel… you won’t regret it.

I ordered the strawberry and avocado salad last night and found a huge hair in it. We also ordered two pizzas which were just mediocre. When I called about the hair, they told me they would deliver another one to us(around 9:00). It never got delivered. They called us at 11:00 and said they were too busy to deliver it then and asked if we still wanted it! Awful way to treat a customer after making that kind of mistake.

I came here looking for a good doner kebab. I left with what was simply a bad gyro. I ignored all the 1 star delivery reviews… I walked in the place instead. Reviewers commenting the doner gyro kebab thing is good never had a real one. Ever. The bread was good but the rest sucked. I had to school them in the difference between a gyro and doner… And it’s a 2 star gyro at best. This is a geek gyro… Nothing near a Turkish doner kebab. Change the menu.

This place is great! The bread is delicious and so is the meat, which is halal. The gyro Turkish doner was well spiced, and the staff was very friendly. Highly recommend

Ordered dinner through grub hub tonight at 7:45. Order arrived at 9. When we opened up the pizza box it was the wrong pizza. I immediately called the delivery guy who said he would call the store, must have been a mix up in the kitchen, not his. Ok, great. The store calls and said oh sorry the cook thought that gr olives meant gyro meat and black olives not green olives. The way he said it was like oh isn’t that funny. Sure, but I don’t eat meat. He responds in what over the phone was probably like a shrug, like oh ok what do you want me to do? When I said that I don’t have dinner he said ok well I can refund the pizza. I asked if they could bring another one and he said he could if I wanted to wait but they had a bunch of orders in front of me. I asked if that meant I had to wait another hour and he said yes at least! So I said no I can’t wait until after 10 pm, just give me a refund but I would like a refund of whole order.(My fiancé had ordered an Italian sub — which was burnt, cold and had two pieces of meat on it). The person I talked to said he would talk to the manager. The next thing I know I get an email from Grub hub saying they only refunded the pizza. I called back and was told the manager wasn’t even there and that I would have to call back in an hour. Seriously the customer service here is ridiculous. You’d think the least they could do for me having to scrounge for cheese and crackers for dinner is refund a totally lousy sandwich. Based on the reviews on here this place is probably only good for drunk college kids who can’t taste the food or pass out before the food arrives. If you’re reading this before ordering good for you, I wish I had done the same.

This place is a great deal for Georgetown students who get half off on Mondays after 5pm. I order the Falafel sandwich and the Chicken Avocado, but neither are to die for. Depending on if the owner is working, the sandwiches can be either amazing or terrible. On weekends, this is the go to place for hungry college students wishing for $ 5 slices of pizza. The pizza is tasty but nothing special.

Absolutely terrible — I waited over an hour and half for the delivery of my two chicken parmesan sandwiches. The sandwiches(which were cold when they arrived) weren’t even chicken parmesan — no marinara sauce whatsoever on both sandwiches. Only little bits of chicken and shredded cheese in between stale bread. Not ordering from this place again.

Ordered online on GrubHub and they never showed. I called them to check on my order. They told me that the driver had the wrong address and that they were sending him back out. Still nothing. I ordered 3 hours ago.

Ate lunch here yesterday. Hummus was good, and the pide was awesome — like pizza on pretzel bread. We had the Mediterranean with chicken added for no extra charge. The service was awkward, but extremely friendly and the price can’t be beat — $ 17.50 for lunch for 2. I wish that the place were cleaner & in better condition, though — the bathrooms were among the worst I’ve encountered anywhere.

In all fairness, we chose a Mediterranean/Turkish restaurant when we were hungry for pizza(though they advertise pizza on the menu). We ordered the Margherita pizza, and the garlic nearly did us in. The lack of any tomato sauce was also a surprise. Don’t come here for the pizza… I’d be willing to bet that, if you want lamb or a gyro or whatever, you won’t be disappointed…

I don’t understand why this place is only 2.5 stars, at worse it’s a 3 but at best it’s a 4. They have a deal for Georgetown students for half off on Mondays and Tuesday. ID is absolutely required. Got me a chicken kebab rice plate. It was a good portion, great deal for $ 6, not so much for the normal price of $ 12. The rice was bland, the chicken was average, the bread and salad was nothing special. My friend and I came in for a late lunch and there was no one but us, yet there was still dirty dishes sitting on a few of the tables. We sat down on an empty table that we had to wipe down ourselves… Would I come back? Yeah for the student deal, regular price… I don’t know, that’s a little harder to say…

Tasty sandwiches with good bread, nice pizza, and best of all, a nice discount for georgetown students! I like this place and eat here often 5 stars, at least while I’m a georgetown student and this place is an unbeatable deal update: 4 stars, I graduated

Deciding to try a new place on Friday at 11:45am I headed into Eat & Joy. The place was open but the chef had not yet showed up. Ok, gave them another chance and went in on Monday for lunch at 1pm. While the place seemed tiny, they had some seating place upstairs and the food options seemed interesting. I ordered the Turkish Doner Gyro which had a combination of Lamb and Beef on Turkish bread and my friends ordered the Falafel sandwich and the Chicken Avocado sandwich. The lady taking our order was prompt but thats when the good ended. It took over 15 mins for us to get out sandwiches, which were cold. The portion size was good, and came with chips, however, the meat in my Doner was dry and lacked flavor, something that I have come to expect from my other moderate street eats in NYC. My friends complained of the same thing — cold and dry sandwiches. This place is not the cheapest, with sandwiches in the $ 6 – 8 range. While the portion size justified the price, the below average sandwich left us extremely disappointed. Good: close enough to Georgetown U, good portion size, offer pizza options, offer student discounts to Georgetown students, they deliver and you can order in advance Bad: not that close(still a 10 – 15 min walk from Georgetown U), sandwiches were cold, meat was dry, place felt compact and constricting, and not the fastest service.

There’s two reason that I’m visiting this restaurant occasionally — their authentic foods and great service. I love their Gyro Turkish Doner sandwich. It’s a combination of lamb and beef covered with greens and tzaziki souse in their #1 pita bread in Georgetown. I also like their Chicken Shish Kebab. Their chicken is so juicy and yammi. It comes with side of salad tzaziki sauce rice and also my favorite pita bread. Their service is very good. Sometimes I come by and order there. While I’m waiting l see they know their costumers by their names(I thought they know only me by my name: D). They are always talking with the smile on their faces and I always feel good after visiting Eat&Joy. The only thing I suggest them to work on outside look of the store. They can make it more beautiful and welcoming. If you got a chance, I’ll highly recommend you to visit this restaurant! :)

Eat & Joy No eats no joy Food – just blah as in bland as in mediocre. We got the chicken pesto pizza that looked amazing but it definitely fell short. Really short. I’m not sure there were was any pesto sauce at all. It really sucks when the food looks delicious but… it’s blah. Service – took about 10 mins to get our salad. Tables were not clean. —there really was no service. Ambiance – noon on a week day. Not a soul in sight. Very small. Price – groupon so it was a deal but if the food isn’t good… is it really a deal??? Oh and a skink bug attacked me.

Very small but cozy eatery in Gtown. Something about this place made me want to stay and hang out by myself… I found it very charming. If you are in the neighborhood and feel like having a bite alone or with a friend or even a date on a budget, try this place. Friendly service. Food was OK, good variety. PS:No parking in front of the building so walk one block or so…
