I have been going to Cosi for over 10 years and continue to enjoy my breakfast and lunch meals on a weekly basis! Not sure for the low reviews but I appreciate the manger Joanne and staff who always greet me with a smile! Really! I love the new menu and the Thai curry bowl is the BOMB!!! Try it! They have the free bread sticks on the side and my food is always good! Go and find a yummy sandwich and enjoy the view! Even a nice patio to sit and people watch! Go and see!

I’ve been to this Cosi before when I’m in DC(and others elsewhere) for a meeting and want a budget salad for dinner, but I won’t be back again. The two guys working there tonight were friendly enough and service was fast enough, but then again the speed wasn’t a surprise considering the place was almost deserted(unlike the Panera next door). The chicken salad was so uninspired that I went hungry rather than finish it; there were very few pieces of very tasteless so-called«meat,» almost unrecognizable miniscule tidbits of «vegetables» just too small to pick up with a fork and an overall combination of flavors(or lack thereof) that simply didn’t work. However, sadly, Cosi’s salad wasn’t their only failure. It was only when I got back into the hotel room that I realized the«sell by date» had been left blank on their branded chocolate chip cookie; however the«copyright» date was 2014, and from the taste and texture of the bite I took it could literally been that old! With so many other options in the neighborhood there’s no reason to ever come back, especially if you’re hungry and want food worth eating.

This is not the best Cosi I’ve ever been to and keep in mind that other options are nearby, if not next door. I’ve never been overly impressed with the food here but the salads are alright. Service can vary depending on who is helping you but is generally okay. Still, for the price, I’d probably go elsewhere. It’s Dupont, so it’s not like there’s a shortage of options.. .

My new favorite breakfast spot! Good coffee, pastries and heartier breakfast options, and friendly faces to start the day. It’s also right off the DuPont metro so makes for an easy grab and go. Thank you all for your kindness. I’ll be back soon!

GONEXTDOOR!!! In a lunchtime rush walked into this Cosi thinking it was Panera. They’re next door to each other and menus/set up are very similar. It wasn’t until it was far too late that I realized it wasn’t Panera. The chicken used for their salads is basically out of a can and their service is non existent. Can’t justify paying as much as I did for a salad and Kraft Mac n Cheese. But to really top things off I got food poisoning from this awful place. Big mistake!!!

Not great, good for a quick fix on the go, oatmeal was good, breakfast wraps were ok, eggs are below average. The manager seemed to want to provide good service but the employees were slow to respond and it cost $ 20 for two coffees two tiny wraps and two cups of oatmeal. Would go back if it was the only place around.

Cosi is yummy, but this location is abysmal! Their organization, enthusiasm, and quality is extremely lacking. They definitely need to get some tips from either the Cosi in Columbia, MD or the Panera right next door. The food is still ok, but they could definitely put a little extra effort in the preparation and presentation. You can tell the people there are doing the bare minimum to earn a paycheck. As a paying customer, it’s really disappointing to get such poor service.

Food isn’t bad… but you need to know what you want to eat before you order… fast paced and at times frenetic… half of the staff are polite and the other half impatient. Great place for a fast lunch.

A local friend told me that Cosi had an awesome breakfast item… the Squagel. A square bagel. I didn’t think much of it when I heard about it, but when my fiancé brought one back to the hotel one morning, I couldn’t help but want my own. The bagel or «squagel» is the perfect thickness for a breakfast sandwich. It’s not too thick and easy to bite into. He ordered the Jalapeño Cheese bagel and it was perfect. Be careful, because I bit into the bagel at a wrong angle and for a whole half hour, my upper lip was burning from the jalapeño spice. Besides that, it’s delicious! Click here for pictures: Some reviews mention this restaurant having poor service, however, my fiancé and I noticed they were friendly on both occasions. I didn’t have a chance to try the rest of the menu, but it looked very similar to Panera Bread, with the exception of their delicious bagel/squagels…

This is a good location if you like this chain. My review is only based on one visit here, but my breakfast sandwich was very good and the service was great.

Food wasn’t bad, but the place had an unclean vibe just after opening. I guess they must focus on grab n go business. Won’t be back.

The food is A-ok. Is fast and good. The language barrier issue is true, but they always make it up to the client. Every time we order something we double check what we got because some times the get it wrong. But not big deal. They are very nice.

Good food, the soup was yummy a spicy turkey chili, the chicken Caesar was yummy. The service was blah, having not known what to order it took us a moment, but it seemed more like we were bothering them by just ordering food. I’d have to say the interior is nice and music is eclectic chic.

First, the people are nice but, the language barrier is unfortunate. I don’t care if you don’t speak English but, if you’re taking orders, you need to know what people are asking for. Maybe the music is too loud. Monday I ordered a bagel with cream cheese and the lady kept asking me «butter?» «no, cream cheese» she then made it with butter and tried to hand it to me. I said again«CREAMCHEESE» ok, well she made another butter. I had to tell the cashier what I wanted then she translated it. Please Read all the way to the bottom! Tuesday«Hi Ma’am butter right?» «NO, cream cheese» I get butter. I have to go to the cashier and get the cream cheese and a translation. Wednesday bacon, egg, and cheese please… guess what? Cream cheese. Today(Thursday) cream cheese and jelly… I got only cream cheese. I went back today. They thanked me for coming back and they appreciated the feed back. I assured them I wasn’t trying to get anyone fired or in trouble and they assured me that wouldn’t happen, especially during the holiday season. So, I got a new(correct) breakfast and they’re bringing me lunch today. Job well done!

Cosi’s food is ok — and that’s their saving grace. Otherwise, there’s nothing impressive about this place at all. I used to go to Cosi on the Upper West Side in NYC and it was always a good experience, the staff helpful. Here, not so much. It was a quiet Sunday afternoon and I was barely given a second glance. On the upside, the food was good. However, the little bag of carrots you get with your sandwich? Stale, old. Thumbs down on that. Guess I should’ve gone with the chips.

Cosi is always fantastic — the melts are my favorite, especially the Turkey Bacon Cheddar Melt and the Chicken TBM melt. Also tons of options for vegetarians and healthy-eaters! I only wish this location moved a little faster.

It’s fine for a sandwich or salad at lunch, magnificent for a breakfast squaggle(SQUAREBAGEL!) sandwich, & horrid for service. Also notable: the wireless network Cosi doesn’t work inside of the restaurant.

I come from a country that is not noted for its sandwiches. Breakfast sandwiches are street food that involve an egg patty with shredded carrots and sugar between two pieces of soggy grilled butter toast, and everything seems to have some sort of cold slaw on it. So when I had my first sandwich at Cosi during my first week in the US, I thought I had stumbled upon something revolutionary. During my past few years, however, I have been introduced to sandwich innovations I didn’t know existed – po boys, banh mi, pastrami, and the wonderful Jetties Nobadeer; and Cosi was long forgotten along the way. So I decided to revisit Cosi for the first time in years to see if I’d outgrown one of my early favorites. Short story shorter, I had. I got a chicken pesto sandwich with sundried tomato spread – some of my favorite ingredients. But somehow, the sandwich was bland and favorless. The chicken was rubbery, the only hint of pesto was the slight greenness of the chicken, and the sundried tomatoes had no kick. Overall, it assuaged my hunger, but didn’t satisfy my appetite. The sandwich is a good size and they’re made to order, but there’s certainly a reason that Cosi is so much less busier than the Panera next door. And that’s not saying much, as it’s not like Panera has amazing sandwiches. I may go back if I’m in a rush and don’t want to brave the lunch line at Panera(which, admittedly, is what happened today), but for an $ 8 sandwich, there are much better options nearby.

They are kinda lame here, but the food is good. They can be a little slow– it seems like they take care in making the sandwiches perfectly, and then the toaster looks like it’s kinda broken, so they pull the sandwich out to check it and then put it back in again. I don’t need the cheese totally melted, but they are perhaps perfectionists. There’s a nice little covered area in the back to sit, which is good on a rainy day. It faces the Church of Scientology…
