Three stars here is generous. I went this past weekend with a small group of people for brunch. I don’t know why or how, and this isn’t the restaurants fault, but other customers stopped and interrupted our conversation to tell us how great out waitress is. Fantastic, we will most likely experience that ourselves, go away. The waitress was fine. She seemed immune to how loud it was in the restaurant and no matter how many times anyone asked her to repeat herself she spoke at the same level. You’d think she would have adjusted volume but alas… Despite it being our first time at the restaurant(we mentioned this) she never explained how the bottomless brunch works. Is it all small plates? Do we simply order our own meals??? I doubt we would have been able to hear her answer regardless. Eventually, our food was brought out. They forgot one person’s meal. We told the waitress and another staff member relatively quickly. Their excuse was«Oh, the kitchen is busy.» 15 minutes later, they brought her food out. If you’re kitchen is too busy to finish the job, then you either need to wait and keep the food under a heat lamp or you need new staff. The food itself was fine, I wouldn’t write home about it. The guests downstairs looked like they were being treated as if they were a restaurant. Upstairs, in comparison, was where they seemingly pushed all the drunks(not us – this time). Would skip for bottomless brunch next time.

Two friends and I decided to come here at the last minute on a Saturday. I’d definitely describe all three of us as brunch experts, and we all agreed this was one of the best. We decided on bottomless(bonus points for allowing just champagne instead of mimosas — or liquor if your liver is made of steel). Upon telling our waiter, Ismael, that we were getting bottomless he offered to send out some plates for us so we didn’t have to think about what he wanted. For the next 20 minutes, plate after plate after plate kept appearing — and they were all delicious. The red pepper dip, vegetarian flatbread, and tomato salad(apologies for not remembering the turkish names) were the best. We probably had 12 dishes on our table at one point. They let us linger, and kept sending out champagne and plates(or, in one case, taking an eggs benedict order). I really appreciated that we didn’t have to think about what we ordered, especially since it was all so delicious. I will definitely go back!

Came here for brunch and ordered à la carte. We got the labneh and each of the cold mezze, all were perfect. My friend even said it was some of the best labneh he had outside the Mediterranean. And my favorite part is how accommodating they are of various diets. I am gluten free and was thrilled by the amount of choice and the fact that it was clearly marked on the menu. If you ask, they will provide veggies for the spreads in lieu of pita.

Service is awesome and the food comes out relatively quickly. It is a tapas place, so if you order a lot, it is consistently coming out.

Agora dear, your food is delicious but your service is horrendous. How do you expect people to enjoy themselves if they feel ignored from the moment they sit down to before they pay? Your delicious food doesn’t give you the right to ignore our other needs too ! In all seriousness, the food is amazing but I doubt you will sit less than 10 – 15 min before someone comes to acknowledge you. And this wasnt just us. Two or three other tables were complaining while we were there. We sat outside on a wobbly table. Our waitress came to our table once. She took our order and we never saw her again. Someone else took our add on order. another person noticed we wanted to pay. A fourth person noticed we had been holding the check with our credit card much too late. See my pictures for details and food ratings but in all honesty, I won’t be back. For goodness sake, Chic-Fil-A treats their customers better and at a fraction of the cost.

Great food and atmosphere. Went for dinner on a warm Friday night and was seated right away at one of several tables outside. The outside seating is under an awning in front of the restaurant, which was nice at night but would be good during the day as well. Agora has a really nice and relaxed ambiance. The food is served small plate/tapas style and it is suggested that you get and share multiple plates. Servers were friendly and helpful. The food is both tasty and unique and offers both traditional and creative mediterranean food. Highly recommend for a nice dining experience where you’ll receive good service but probably won’t have to battle crowds.

My friends and I came for #sundayfunday bottomless brunch and we had a great time. There’s seating indoors and outdoors. It was getting kinda hot so we sat inside, but outside does have a covered awning and ceiling fans. Be sure to make a reservation or come right when they open because it gets crowded pretty quickly The bottomless brunch is a great deal — $ 35 for anything on the brunch menu(minus sides) and bottomless drinks(mimosas, bloody mary’s, and rail liquors). The only catch is if one person in your party does bottomless, everyone has to. And there’s a two-hour seating limit. Another thing that’s different about Agora is they bring out the food in the order that they appear on the menu(i.e. the spreads first, then the cheese, then the salads, and so on). At first we thought our waitress had forgotten our egg dishes which are towards the end of the menu, so when we asked her about them she explained the process. But, if you just ask they can bring out all the dishes whenever they’re ready. We ordered practically everything on the menu. There was a vegetarian and a vegan in our group and there were a good amount of options for them. Everything was really tasty but my favorites were the two flatbreads, the goat cheese and honey, the baba ghanouj, and hummus. We also were constantly asking for refills on the pita bread. If you’re looking to get your money’s worth for bottomless brunch check out Agora!

Been here for the Bottomless Brunch and Happy Hour Food 3.5÷5: For the bottomless brunch with endless food and drinks which of course is a great start. While the food is definitely tasty there is not enough meat choices(like 2) for the brunch for me. Best Spread — the Htipiti. Drinks 5⁄5: Every house made drink was delicious and strong. The mimosas were mimosas(typical) lol. Lemonade Voka Ambience 4⁄5 — Atmosphere has class little bit of a Greek getaway feel to the downstairs and the upstairs is pretty plain. It has a bustling atmosphere and the noise level is moderately high. Service 1⁄5: This is probably a large brunch party dilemma but our servers was extremely slow and repedeatedly brought out the wrong order(luckill it was bottomless) Overall I generally definitely enjoyed my experience, got some good food, and would go back but would pray for better service. lol

Came here for birthday bottomless brunch with group of 9 and the service was the worst I’ve experienced. The waiter neglected to write down what we ordered and brought only some people’s food out that he remembered to write down. And then when I brought it up he responded with a snarky comment like«everything you ordered is on the table». When clearly everyone has food except a few people he neglected to write down. I can understand that he may have been overwhelmed due to understaffing but that is no excuse for condescending comments. Please teach waiters some manners and customer service.

On a recent visit here to DC for work, I got a chance to visit with some friends. On Friday night after a long workday my pal picked me up and we decided to take a walk for dinner. Not having reservations we were not really sure what we would find at 8 o’clock at night. We came by the restaurant, which he met before and spoke highly of figured we would give a shot. Even without reservations, they really did great effort to fit a deuce in. Which in a busy city like DC or San Francisco you more often find the less then engaged hosts working the door barely raise an eyes when they say no reservation? 30 to 45 minutes wait and then they look back at the book. We were seated fairly quickly and by 830 had something to nibble on and wine at the table. The waitstaff could not have been more friendly or conscientious; while it was clear who was our waiter was, they definitely had a tagteam approach with other waitstaff walking by, offering to clear or bring something. So you had a feeling of being attended too without being smothered. Dishes are tapas style which means several opportunities to taste lots of things We managed to polish, off between the two of us, six different dishes. I think the average they recommend is 2 to 3 per person. But ask the wait staff. They were great at suggesting(and telling me what I missed to note for next time). The octopus by the way was fork tender! Something not as easy to manage as sime think. The flatbread was crisp and lamb rich. Overall a win win place for drinks, md week dinner with pals, girls night out or special occassion.

Came here for a birthday brunch, group of 10. Because we were a bigger group, we were seated upstairs, where it was just 3 parties. It was a little stuffy upstairs compared to the higher ceiling downstairs that has more energy. If the weather is nice I’d recommend sitting outside. The food wasn’t bad but very average, like pre-packaged food you might buy at a supermarket. Our table went for the unlimited brunch option, and the service was nice and timely(was a bit nervous about the service after reading other reviews about how slow it can be on a busy day, but I didn’t experience any issues!). I just feel like there’s better brunch options with more flavorful dishes in DC. I probably won’t be back to Agora unless a friend wants to go.

Today is a beautiful spring Sunday Funday in the District. We’ve never had brunch at Agora, so we decided to go. Unfortunately(we thought) that there were no outdoor tables available. It was a blessing in disguise. The 3 of us sat at the bar. Ismail was our bartender/server. Let me first say that brunch is $ 35 per person AND everybody must participate. For that price you get bottomless drinks and food for 2 hours. I recommend having Ismail choose your appetizers for you to start. I also recommend having at least 3 people in your party because you will want to share. Ismail kept ordering us food, kept our drinks full and even offered us 20 minutes to regather our appetites. We took full advantage of the 20 minute food break. I won’t mention the regular appetizers you can get because they are amazing(e.g. hummus; htipiti(roasted red peppers, feta, thyme and olive oil)). I wouldn’t miss the goat cheese mixed with black caraway seeds and served with a smear of honey on the side; Kasik(a great salad); stuffed baby eggplant(heaven) to name a few. For our entrée, we ordered Cilbir, which is 2 poached eggs topped with yogurt, sumac, oregano and spicy oil. I loved it, but others may not care for it because of the different flavors. There are the regular, traditional brunch items, which are prepared well. We had other entrée’s as well, but I can’t remember what they were.(Blame the cocktails.) The one dish I wouldn’t recommend is the grilled cheese sandwich with tomato soup. It’s good, but I think it’s there for people who aren’t that adventurous. I highly recommend Agora for brunch. My review for dinner is forthcoming. Enjoy!

So this is one of those places where nothing came out like I was expecting or even hoping yet it was still awesome. I was expecting plates with a full portion yet what I got was small metal bowls filled with I thought was a small amount of food. I was dead wrong. Its like the best combination of a tasting menu but extremely filling at the same time. I have been to Turkey and this food has a real Turkish feel. First they started us off with Pita bread and an olive tapenade. You know the food is going to be good when the pita bread is that good. Warm, light, perfect chew. They had us from the first bite. Next, we got the Lahamcun which is turkish flat bread with a spiced lamb mixture on top. It was the best Lahmacun I’ve had in the U.S. and better than most of what I had in Turkey. Then the Braised lamb shank with eggplant-Gruyère purée. The purée is unbelievably rich as is the meat and they compliment each other very well. This dish is great but heavy so beware, I suggest sharing it. Then the CHEF’S BÖREK, Crispy phyllo roll. Both are light, airy, crispy, and just all around great. Then the MAKANEK, Lebanese lamb sausage sautéed in olive oil, lemon juice. Im not normally a fan of lemon with meat. And I was hesitant but I had to try the sausage. It was probably one of the best items we had. The lemon and sausage worked perfectly and the shoestring fries on top were the best compliment. Lastly the adana kabob. I had this exact dish in Turkey and although I cant say this was better it was as close as you can get without being there. Cut up the kabob, put it in the pita, add some sumac onions and your transported to Istanbul. Lastly was turkish coffee which the wife said was perfect and the dessert. Crispy phyllo with cream and orange blossom honey. I loved this dessert so much I brought the whole family back a couple weeks later just to have that. The cream and phyllo are not sweet, you get the sweetness from the honey which is exactly how I like it. This is definately a go to place. Heads up I would call ahead for reservations.

It was a spontaneous decision to come here for lunch on a Wednesday. It was around 12:30PM and half of the outside seats were already taken. I perused the menu they keep outside for passers by and decided to give it a try. Note: I’m vegetarian BUT I don’t eat onion, garlic, leeks, or chives(really, anything in the family). I was promptly seated and a glass of water was poured into my cup. A tall glass container of more water was also placed on the table. It took a while for my waitress(she had blonde hair) to get to me; I never got her name, but she was nice enough once she was there. However, she didn’t really try to see if I could eat anything else. I wish I could have taken advantage of the lunch special, but at this point, I was under the impression that most of the items you can choose from were off limits to me, except for two choices(other than the salad): the grilled vegetable sandwich with a side of thyme fries and peynerli(cheese & tomato) pide. I decided to go with the sandwich because I wanted more veggies. When it came out, it was smaller than I thought but quite delicious. The bread was great and though crusty wasn’t hard; the olive oil and juices from the grilled vegetables helped and the goat cheese added the perfect dimension to it. The fries weren’t salted, but they were crispy and good. They weren’t equally sprinkled with thyme, but nothing I was too bothered by. Overall, the watering service was good and my waitress did her job. The food was great and filled me up perfectly(to the 75 — 80% point), though the walk home made me a little hungry again. I wish I could have found out exactly what I could and couldn’t have from the menu to make a more educated order. but that would come later, because I returned for dinner with my husband. Turns out the sandwich isn’t offered for dinner and that the restaurant is more«small plate» based where you order several things and share. This waiter(Alex) was a little more helpful. I found out that we could also have the hummus and htipiti spreads, artichoke and celery hearts, sauteed kale, and Brussels sprouts. We decided to branch out(it’s not often we go to a Turkish restaurant and have anything more than a pide), so we got the htipiti, which came with 2 pita breads, the artichoke and celery hearts, and the pide. They were all small, appetizer sizes. The spread was interesting: roasted red peppers with bits of cheese in a ball with a bit of fresh thyme and it worked well. The bread was the softest and most delicious; I loved it and wish there were more! The artichoke and celery hearts were pretty good; simple and lightly seasoned. The celery hearts were tender and so were the carrots. The pide was also small and the crust was on the thin side, which, I hear from our Turkish friends, isn’t very traditional/authentic. To be honest, I prefer thin crust so I enjoyed it. The cheese was a mixture of feta and mozzarella(the feta is also not traditional) and the tomatoes lent it the acidity it otherwise lacked. Also good! All in all, great food and good service from my 2 experiences. We sat again outside for dinner and the place was pretty packed, so it can get pretty loud. The tables outside are a little close, especially if they’re all full. I would love to return again. The only reason why I didn’t give it 5 stars is due to the fact that it wasn’t a very good value(each ‘small plate’ is around $ 8), though lunch was fairly decent(~$ 10).

Bottomless Mimosa appears to be a huge ordeal in DC. I wish it was of this quality in SF… yes we have mimosas and bottomless mimosas… but not Bottomless Brunch like Agora. For $ 35/person on weekends, you can get unlimited dishes from their Turkish & Mediterranean inspired menu. In addition to traditional breakfast foods like Omelettes & Benedict, think Hommus, Babaganush, Dolmas, Greek Salad, Goat Cheese, etc. just to name a few. The $ 35/person includes unlimited mimosas, bloody mary’s, or well drinks. NO coffees/juices in the $ 35 cost. Unfortunately, the entire table has to partake in the unlimited brunch. Alternatively, if you just want your normal brunch entrée, you can get an entrée and order Unlimited Mimosas for $ 15 on top. Entrees are inexpensive here– $ 10/each. Everything was delicious– I do agree the portions are small but I think that tends to keep the quality higher. I thought the meats were delicious and the dishes hot. I haven’t been here during normal hours, but for Brunch, this is a solid spot in Dupont Circle!

Came here for the boozy brunch with my sister on a Saturday afternoon. MAKERESERVATIONS. All the tables were packed and the only people who got a table made reservations beforehand. They were really prompt at seating us when we arrived at exactly 1:30pm, which was nice since brunch ends at 3:30pm and they have a strict two hour policy. $ 35 for bottomless mimosas and unlimited ordering of brunch entrees and tapas is an excellent deal. We got three rounds of food: dips/spreads, entrees(omelettes and stuffed pita flatbreads), and French toast. Everything was amazing. The service is super attentive and they refill those mimosa glasses regularly. I must have had at least seven glasses . Overall a great brunch deal. I haven’t tried the lunch or dinner menu but I expect they are great as well. Very satisfied.

Unlike our previous experience, I wasn’t happy with our brunch this morning. I was there with my husband and a couple friends of ours as well as their teenage sons. Six of us decided to not go for the unlimited brunch since we weren’t gonna drink alcohol. Our server didn’t seem to be on top of it; we ordered about six dips to start and got a basket of bread. When we asked for another basket, she seemed surprised. The manager came later to mention that they had a small oven and lots of people to serve. I understand, but it isn’t my problem if they overload the restaurant and can’t deal with the crowd. The portions are quite small so it makes more sense to go bottomless even if you aren’t drinking alcohol. Overall, it was an okay experience, and thanks to the hostess we were able to expand our table to six even though the reservation was for four ppl, without waiting.

We come here pretty regularly since we live really close, and the experience is almost always 5 stars! I’ve come for brunch, drinks, appetizers and dinner. Brunch is the most frequented meal because you really can’t go wrong for $ 34.99 all you can eat and drink. Generally, the service is good, mimosas are never empty, and the food comes out pretty quickly. It comes out as it’s ready, so as a group it’s fun to share a bunch of different stuff. You can always order double of things to make sure there’s enough to go around. Standouts on my favorite brunch items — tomato soup with grilled cheese, any/all of the dips, and the pides. I’m not a huge fan of eggs, but my friends all love the eggs benedict. For dinner, I love the manti. The dip trio can be a little small, so instead I’d recommend just getting two dips and going with it. Once or twice I’ve come and had a less-than-stellar experience where the servers seemed slammed or the seating was a little disorganized. This is pretty rare, though, which is why I kept the five star review. I’ve been several other times so I hope that was a fluke and we’ll likely still be going back. I’d definitely recommend Agora if you have a fun group that just wants to drink and eat and be merry. Like most places in DC, make sure the entire group wants to do bottomless before getting to the restaurant. Dinner is also a great option for a date if you’re looking for something a little more upscale but affordable.

Had a very pleasant experience at Agora today. Went with a friend for brunch and it was nice. The ambiance was relaxing and felt like home, the décor was beautiful, and the brick that surrounded us was enticing. They give you pita bread with marmalade as free starter which started the meal off sweetly. We then tried the Kasar(shaved, medium-hard sheep’s milk cheese with orange marmalade) which they served with cherry tomatoes. The cheese was stinky, but tasted delicious with the marmalade and cherry tomato on top — all in the same bite. I ordered the Grilled Cheese Sandwich, served with tomato soup; and my friend ordered the eggs Benedict. I was happy with my sandwich, and my friend thought his eggs Benedict(while inherently a bit messy) hit the spot just right. Neither of us drank any alcohol. They did not have pineapple juice which I had initially ordered, so I got a coffee instead. This is where I will say the negatives, and why agora did not get a full 5 stars from me. (1) the waiter brought out some more pita, but I asked for more marmalade to go with it and he seemed to have forgotten about us. And(2) I was charged for a pineapple juice($ 2.75) when they replaced it for a coffee instead($ 2.50). I asked the waitress when I got the bill to point out that I got coffee instead of pineapple juice, and she informed me it was the same price. Don’t get me wrong — I have no problem paying $ 2.75 for a coffee — but it’s a matter of principle. It simply was not what the menu said and she falsely told me they were the same price. In the moment, I trusted her. But later I had to check to see if my memory had deceived me – but the brunch menu does in fact have coffee at $ 0.15 less than the pineapple juice. Anyway, that is it. Overall great.

Tried this place when visiting DC a few years ago, and loved it. Glad to see it is still serving great food. My Turkish bf has introduced me to a lot of new cuisine and this restaurant is my favorite in DC for Mediterranean food. They serve small plates like ordering Tapas(but in Turkey they call mezze). So for people who are just trying out this type of food I suggest picking a few things to start and then keeping the menu to order another round of dishes. We loved the food at dinner, both times I have been, and a friend also really enjoyed dinner with a large group. I have not tried their Brunch, but maybe I should reading these other reviews.

I just happened to go to agora when they were offering their restaurant week menu($ 35) and half priced bottles of wine(Mondays). One of the best meals I’ve had in DC. Everything was so tasty and fresh. I had a sampler of dips, arugula salad, stuffed eggplant, sea bass, Brussels sprouts, rice pudding, and tastes of my friend’s dishes, and all were outstanding. I have always had phenomenal service at Agora; however, this past weekend I brought friends from out of town(4 of us total) and was left disappointed. We selected the bottomless brunch option(as usual) but our server was so slammed with three large tables that we barely got drinks and food. There were several times that our glasses sat empty for 10+ minutes or that our food items just never came out. Not to mention we did not get a full 2 hours in(which is supposed to be the limit for the bottomless option). I typically pick Agora for any celebration and to bring guests in town, but after this weekend I think I need a new«go to.» Please note– our server was wonderful– she was just put at an extremely unfair disadvantage!

I made a brunch reservation for 2 people at 1:15PM on Saturday, 1⁄16. Upon arrival at the restaurant, we were seated outside but not visited by a server for 10 minutes(not even provided water). Once the waitress arrived, we requested our bottomless mimosas and first round of tapas. After our drinks and food arrived, we devoured them quickly. We then waited 15 minutes without seeing our server, ready to order our next rounds(in accordance with their«bottomless brunch» policy), before I went inside and asked the hostess for our server; she confirmed that we would be seen shortly. Another 5 minutes went by before I got back-up again and went inside to ask for the manager. I spoke with the bartender, who claimed that she was busy and we would be served very shortly. I reminded him that we were paying the $ 35 premium for bottomless brunch and were not receiving the service that usually comes with the high price tag; I also told him that other patrons had already got up and left the patio. The restaurant was only half-full and not as busy as it had been during my past visits, so I was confused and frustrated by the lack of attentiveness. Soon after, the waitress came back out and apologized, blaming a «staff transition» for the lack of service. I replied that we were paying for bottomless brunch, and the least they could do was have a staff member(even the hostess) providing beverage refills to the patiently-waiting customers. I have been to Agora over 10 times during my 4 years in DC, and I have never experienced such a poor level of customer service. I hosted by 25th birthday brunch(with 15 people) at this restaurant in 2013, and everything went much more smoothly than this weekend. So something here has definitely changed for the worse.

I’ve had almost everything on the brunch menu thanks to the bottomless brunch. Here are some tips for those going to the weekend bottomless brunch($ 35/person), especially with a large group: 1) Make reservations. Brunch is a popular time for Agora, so reservations are necessary. Which brings me to my next point… 2) Show up on time. For bottomless brunch, you are limited to 2 hours of eating and drinking from the time your reservation starts. They also generally require everyone(or the vast majority of the group) to show up before being seated. So being on time is in your best interest! 3) Before ordering, everyone at the table must agree on ordering A la carte OR bottomless. I guess this is to prevent those ordering A la carte from getting bottomless food without paying for it. There are no exceptions to this rule(even if someone in the group is pregnant and can’t drink… yup). 4) Be aware that it can get chaotic. The table is ordering on a constant basis as the waiter comes around. You will be ordering food for yourself and/or for the table, and sometimes the menu item you are waiting for takes awhile to come. If the room is loud, the waiter may be yelling at you, and you may be yelling as well. It’s hilarious if you know to expect it. 5) Everything is good. My personal favorites: goat cheese(the best), turkish sujuk, grilled cheese, baba ghanouj, hummus, bacon, htipiti. You share food with the table, and it’s really a fun time. 6) They only take up to 6 credit cards. So get your cash, Paypal, Venmo, bank account tranfers, or I.O.U. letters ready. 7) Come hungry and/or thirsty!

A bottomless food AND drink option for our weekend brunch club. At only $ 34.99, it’s a SOLID place to pick when you have a group(like mine) that wants to eat everything in the menu. And, the house vodka they use in their Bloody Mary and mimosa is absolutely amazing. Like seriously, amazing. And they are not weak drinks either :) which this brunch club takes very seriously. They have gluten free, dairy free and nut allergen options for the more dietary sensitive persons. The dishes are served when ready, so don’t expect to have everything come out«all at once.» It’s a Turkish /Mediterranean menu. Also made sure you have a reservation! The inside has great decorating but the patio is where it’s at! There’s a 2 hour seating limit so make sure you order all the food! Speaking of food, there were 4 of us and we split all the dishes… definitely get the Labneh and the Goat Cheese(which comes with honey!) also the French toast was fantastic. The Manchego Omlette honesty didn’t have that much flavor so probably skip that. But the pastirma eggs Benedict and the scrambled eggs with sujuk were worth several rounds.

One of the greatest unlimited brunch options in town, $ 35 for unlimited menu and alcoholic drinks included, per person. They limit the unlimited experience by two hours, so you might want to optimize it by going there on time. Also, you need a reservation(especially on weekends) since they are slammed. The service is very quick, we had lsmail to serve us. He did an impeccable job by managing us with the rest of his tables in the rush hours of a Saturday brunch. The food was excellent, especially the traditional Turkish items.

While travelling to DC for thanksgiving, I made reservations at Agora on the holiday, for a nontraditional Thanksgiving dinner. Service was impeccable. They got quite busy but our server always came over when we made eye contact. Drinks were always full, and plates cleared when dirty. We ordered quite a slew of food, but the best being the Hazim Cheese, Scallops, and the Stuffed Apricots for dessert. Excellent and exquisite! Can’t wait till I’m back again.

Not going to lie, bottomless brunch at this spot KILLED me. However, the food is delicious here and the drinks are indeed, bottomless! If you’re looking for an AYCD and AYCE brunch that’s not your typical brunch fare, definitely add this to your list. Highlights of our two hour feast included: ~Htipiti(roasted red pepper dip) ~Goat cheese with caraway seeds and honey ~Tomato soup & grilled cheese(YUM) ~Sujuklu pide(flatbread with sausage) For $ 35, it’s at your average price point for a boozy brunch, but for the amount of food and drink that you get, it’s definitely worth it. I love the fact that it is small dishes; because of that, my group essentially got to try a majority of what was on the menu. The service here was great; even though our group was large, the waiters managed to make it look seamless and we always had a plate of food or drink on the table.

So the food was really good. I don’t know that I would call it GREAT, but that might be a result of how put off I was with the price. I also become a bit put off when a waiter/waitress is so pushy about one thing or another, especially at a place this expensive. I find it to be cheap and unprofessional. Regardless of what I purchase, you’re going to get a chunk of my money, so when you get pushy about adding all of these dishes, I become a bit offended. To be honest, it surprised me for the area its in(and the restaurants its surrounded by,) with how nice it was. With that said, I’m glad I hadn’t been in there before. It’s overpriced for what it is. There are too many places where the food is either the same or much better and the same price. Realistically, I won’t be back. Theres 25 better restaurants with compatible(if not better) prices in a mile radius.

I love everything about Agora’s brunch. It is one of the few brunches that caters to vegetarians(I have a ton of friends who are) because the have a good amount options for both whereas other places may just have a few dishes at most to choose from. They really have bringing out food to a science too. The great thing about the food here is that I don’t feel grossly sick after eating the unlimited food. The food is wonderfully flavored and I feel like there’s something for everyone. I especially love the poached eggs, yogurt, and cheeses. The great thing about the bottomless drinks is that it’s not just champagne based drinks, but also rail alcohol. I’m seriously getting hungry just thinking about eating there…

Turkish delight. Service a bit slow on the front end. However they make up for it with tender juicy lamb, accompanied by Raki and good conversation. I’ll be back.

It was the perfect place to get together on my visit to DC with friends. We took full advantage of their bottomless brunch. It’s a pretty great deal for $ 34.99 to have bottomless drinks and food. I was very happy that you could change type of drinks which I haven’t been able to do previously with bottomless brunches. The food was also really good. I feel like they should have warned us on how small the portions were because than we would have had a better idea of how many plates to order. The baba ganuj was really good and the cheeses were fantastic. Our waiter was kind, but the kitchen and people bringing the food couldn’t get it together because it took forever to get some of our orders and then we got doubled what we ordered for some of the dishes.

I’ve been here twice for brunch over the past two years and absolutely love it. In fact, it’s one of my favorite DC brunch places! Full disclosure: I love Mediterranean food! So I might be a wee bit bias about their menu, which is better than the average brunch options thanks to the Mediterranean flavors and options! Brunch is from 11am– Saturday and Sunday. Both times I have been here, I have opted for the bottomless brunch for $ 34.99. It is a GREAT deal because you have two hours to endless drinks(mimosa, Champagne, bloody Mary, house vodka, gin, rum, whiskey, and tequila) and food. The kitchen closes at 3:00, so don’t come later than 1:00/1:15 if want to the full two hours. Also everyone at the table must partake in the bottomless brunch(no mooching or splitting meals here!) Each time I came here, my table was allowed to stay beyond our allotted two hours. While they were not bringing more food, they did keep refilling our glasses for a good 30 – 45 minutes past the end time. Between the two brunches, I have tried almost everything on the menu. They have an array of spreads(hummus, baba ganouj, yogurt based dips etc.), cheeses, and salads which are delicious and come with fresh made pita bread. There are various egg dishes(poached eggs, omelets, eggs benedict) that come with homes fries on the side. I generally don’t have much of a sweet tooth but the French toast is absolutely delicious. They have two flat bread options, which are tasty as well. The portions are on the small side, but if you’re doing the bottomless brunch it’s perfect! My advice is to order lots of food in the beginning, so that you can try everything before your two hours are up. The food arrives quickly after ordering it and the servers are very attentive and friendly! The restaurant is within walking distance of the DuPont metro stop and is on 17th between P St. and Q St. Just as a heads up no more than 5 credit cards per check and no splitting the check so plan accordingly.

Really nice brunch place that is also affordable. My friend and I sat outside on a beautiful day. We had the baba ganoush and htipiti for the appetizer. Those were pretty bland when put together in the pita wrapper. I had a couple of bloody Marys and ordered the scrambled eggs with the Turkish beef sausage, it was very good, but not amazing. Highly recommend this place and would definitely go back. They also had great serving size which didn’t leave me painfully full, but was just enough to make me happy.

Agora is a Turkish restaurant with outdoor seating that is completely shaded. West of Dupont Circle, Agora is located on a strip of other restaurants such as Duke’s Grocery and Fox & Hound. It’s a popular restaurant, but always seems to have seating. The menu has a lot of tasty sounding items. We came for brunch. You can do the bottomless brunch for $ 35 I believe, or just go a la carte. The portions are small. I ordered the cold eggplant dish, and it was half of one small eggplant. Although it was $ 9, I would have needed to buy at least two more dishes for a complete meal… so this place can get pricey. That being said, the quality and the presentation of the food is great. They have Turkish coffee(size and strength similar to espresso), that comes in beautiful cup and saucer(see picture). They have several levels of sugar, so you get the perfect cup. I recommend Agora for brunch. I haven’t been there for dinner, but I hope to try it!

Agora had been on my list of places to check and although many people rave about it’s bottomless brunch, I was able to check out their dinner. They have a nice outdoor patio perfect for people watching and a more quiet indoor seating area perfect for groups or friends. The service was great as our waitress was very attentive and provided recommendations of her favorite dishes. The food is mezze small plates style, which is perfect for groups and for sharing. We ordered the grilled octopus, the lambchops, the dolmades(grape leaves), the scallops, and the 3 dip platter. All were very good(especially enjoyed the scallops, although wish there were more of them). The grape leaves are also a must! All in all, this is a good spot if you are looking for mezze/mediterranean food. If you can, Zaytinya should be your first choice as they are similar prices, but Zaytinya is better. However, this is close and worth a try.
