I stayed here for a wedding I had to attend in Nags Head which is just right next door. Most of he decent hotels out there want $ 200 per night and require a 2 night MINIMUM. This place allowed me to stay only one night, and was about $ 150 for one night, which is actually standard for a B&B. It was my first time ever staying in a Bed and Breakfast, and it won’t be my last if all of them are like this one! I pulled up on a Saturday, and was about 30 minutes early before check-in. It was scorching outside at the time as it was in early August, and Lynn came out and asked if I was okay. I told her I was waiting for 2 pm, which was check in time, and she allowed me to come on in as the room was already, ready! Her maiden name was my last name was we hit it off immediately and joked that we might be related. She was very professional, and answered any question that I may have had regarding my stay. She showed me to my room, and even offered me warm baked chocolate chip cookies, as well as sodas and juice in he refrigerator which was open to guests. Lynn asked me did I need any help about activities to do on the Outer Banks, but I told her I would just be going to the wedding, and heading out in the morning. She made sure to leave the porch light for me as she knew I would be coming home late from the wedding! The room was very clean, it had all the towels, wash clothes, and any accessories that one would need when staying there. The TV was a bubble screen, and was really outdated, but I barely watched any television for me so that was a non-issue for me. The bed was very comfortable, and the house was very quiet as well, which allowed me to get some great sleep before the wedding, and later that night when I cam back. The next morning as I packed up, Lynn, and her husband, had cooked breakfast for me that included muffins, eggs, bacon, and grits which were delicious with the orange juice I had as well! We talked it up a bit, and they also gave me a brochure about the B&B in case I come back out that way. It was a wonderful experience, and I would definitely re-visit once I get back out to the far, far, east coast! Thanks again Lynn to you and your husband for your wonderful hospitality!

We stayed here just one night after a 15 hour drive to the Outer Banks. I wish we could have stayed longer! The hosts were amazing and the other travelers made for great conversation. Breakfast was great and the place was clean and inviting. They even upgraded us to a more expensive room for the same price just because it was available. Great people!

Just returned home from a stay at the lovely Wanchese Inn. I spent significant time researching locations for our girls getaway and ultimately we settled on this B&B. The price was good and the location seemed great for all of the activities we had planned. We stayed in Room #1 as it had a private bathroom and king sized bed AND futon. We never used the futon to be quite honest. The king bed was fine. Room was huge as was the bathroom. The house was quite cute and the common areas are really homey. Lynn and her husband Bill were quite hospitable. As a B&B newbie I was worried they’d be all up in our grill, but they weren’t. Each morning started out with a home cooked breakfast. This was really the only time we saw Lynn. She was a wealth of info and gave us some good tips and tricks. Now my only issue, while minor and may be my issue, the bathroom was showing wear… I thought cleanliness could be kicked up just a notch. Perhaps it’s my expectations. Not sure. By the 2nd day I had all but forgotten the few issues in the bathroom. We really felt at home at Lynn’s, it was nice to return home after a long day and grab a snack from the fridge. It felt like ‘home.’ If ever returning to the OBX I wouldn’t hesitate to stay again. The location is awesome for all things Nag’s Head and Roanoke. That’s where we spent most of our time. It was a hike to Corolla, but we went on a Friday so didn’t run into too much of the change over traffic.

My husband and I stayed at this cute B&B for a few days when we were going to a friend’s wedding on a beach at the Outer Banks. We found it online and it was very reasonably priced compared to local hotels, especially for a bed & breakfast. The innkeeper, Lynn, was extremely nice, personable and made us feel so comfortable. The common areas of the house were impeccably clean and nicely furnished. Our room(Room #2) was cozy, and had a separate entrance with its own little porch. The bed was very comfortable. In the mornings Lynn made us a full breakfast. Delicious and plenty of food. She sat and chatted with us while we ate, as we were the only guests staying that weekend(off season). Truly North Carolina hospitality. The grounds were very lovely with some pretty flowers. A very relaxing place!
