Pasta Primavera Walnut Creek

The service by Kaitlyn was exceptional. After a long day of travel, the delicious pasta, salads, and wine were perfect! Kaitlyn took care of our large party and was very attentive. Fabulous start to our trip to the bay area!

We got to the place and notice that now they have a huge bar, it looks really cool.
The service was good, Sonia very knowledgable of the menu. We got a Calamari, Seafood Primavera and a Paella that were very good.

The food was ok. It wasn’t stellar and neither was the service. I was with a group and everyone ordered something different. My seafood ravioli tasted like plain cheese ravioli. This restaurant isn’t and authentic Italian restaurant. They had kabob on their menu…
Their pasta doesn’t taste homemade and their red sauce tasted like canned tomatoes. There sauces tasted flat and lacked flavor and character. If you’re not a picky Italian food eater, then this restaurant is probably good for you. However, if you like authentic and quality pasta and Italian food, you might be better off at the Olive Garden.

We tried Pasta Primavera for the first time and have to say we were pleasantly surprised with how good it was. Don’t be thrown off by the location in an outside strip mall. Kaitlyn was our server and she was beyond exceptional and made our experience great! We loved our dishes (cheese tortellini and veal saltimbocca) and will make this our neighborhood go to spot. Delicious dinner here last night. We started with the spinach and arugula salad and then the seafood pasta with olive oil and garlic. Generous portion of seafood. We finished with tiramisu.
Our server was very friendly and attentive. We’ll definitely dine here again!

The wife and I really enjoy this place. The fresh bread and tomato based spread is really tasty. The appetizer platter is incredibly good. The bruschetta is some of the best we’ve ever had. Every dish we have tried has been really good or better. Service has been very attentive and timely. Highly recommended.

Love going here to relax and have a great dinner. Usually good service and great food. Never loud, just relaxing.

So I came here for Valentine’s Day with three of my girlfriends and I had made reservations for 6:30 online about a week prior to Valentine’s Day. We showed up like around 6 just in case we couldn’t find parking and thank god we did because finding parking took about 10 minutes or so. Anyways– around 6:10 I receive a text message from the restaurant and it was basically a reminder telling me about my reservation for 6:30. We go inside and the host asks if I had a reservation and I give her my name and she says I don’t have a reservation under my name– funny because I just received a text message from the restaurant reminding me about my reservation. So
she looks again and apologizes that she can’t find me in the system and I showed her the text message to prove that I had one. We were lucky it wasn’t extremely packed by then because we were able to get seated right away but it was just irritating that their system clearly wasn’t working properly and didn’t add me into their reservation system.
So we get seated and we notice our waitress gave us only two menus when there’s 4 of us total. It takes her about 10 minutes to get back to our table and ask us what we wanted to drink and my friend just kind of looks at her and asks if we could have 2 more menus. She comes back with the two menus and leaves again– then takes her another 10 minutes to come back again. So we order our drinks and we know what we want to order so we tell her. After she leaves, we noticed that every other person seated around us at different tables had bread being served to them. We thought maybe they just ordered it as an appetizer but we saw the other waiters/​waitresses picking up the bread baskets from the kitchen and giving to the other guests. We see our waitress giving bread to another table and we flag her down and I asked if we could have some bread for our table and her reaction was, «ohhh. Um yes hold on please»
So after about 40 minutes pass by, still no signs of our food showing and I’m so hungry by this point. We don’t know what the hell is going on in the kitchen as to why our food hasn’t shown up yet and me and my friends literally asked for 5 rounds of the bread basket within those 40 minutes and it wasn’t even from our own waitress. We flagged down different waiters/​waitresses the whole time to get more bread. After the fifth basket, our waitress shows up and apologizes that the kitchen is backed up and that’s the reason for the delay. I don’t want to sound mean, but it would have been nice if she would have told
us earlier– and literally 5 minutes after telling us, our food shows up.
Our waitress was really nice, never rude or anything of that sort, it was just really frustrating that she wasn’t on her game of being a good waitress. We waited a lot, didn’t know what was going on with the dinner situation, and she would disappear for long periods of time.
I will say this– the food was really good. I enjoyed it, but I don’t plan on coming back to this particular Italian restaurant. Can find better customer service elsewhere.

We came with the family for Valentine dinner. The drinks and food were excellent. We had the bruschetta, chicken piccata, chicken /​eggplant pasta, and the seafood ravioli. All excellent. Part of our part was late and they were so pleasant and accommodating. Definitively will come back. The place is a strip mall, don’t let that discourage you. Excellent dinner

Stopped by on our way to the Concord pavilion and we love it! Don’t know if all their dishes are equally this good, but we certainly loved ours!
Will definitely be back for more of that delicious seafood mix!

This is a phenomenal find. Flavors are just as promised on the menu. Every dish that comes out is packed with flavor and the portions are perfectly sized! The location itself is a bit on the small side and the parking completely sucks, but it is well worth the maneuvering it takes to get in the door to eat at this location. If you have to wait for a table it doesn’t take too long. There are handful of spots to sit while you wait as well and you can take a look at the menu while you are waiting.
I have to unfortunately agree with the claims of spotty service though. There seem to be a handful of people seasoned and well versed in this actual restaurant, but I have to say they all try! It really would be more simple if it was just kept to one server per table. We ended up with 3 by the end of our service, which makes tipping a bit complicated too!
Bread & Dipping Sauce — love love love the fresh baked bread and their dipping sauce is packed with flavor, I believe some eggplant combination — but don’t quote me!
Calamari — should be labeled calamari steak on the menu just so you know what to expect, but it is completely mouthwatering and wonderful portion size.
Seafood and Veal Saltimbucca’s are equally delicious and come with great portions of goodies! Don’t forget to ask for the FRESHLY grated parmesean if you would like it.
Really great DATE NIGHT spot.
I will definitely be back a few more times to further explore the menu!

Good food but the worst service possible.
Saw our server 2 times. Once when she took our order and once when she gave us the bill. Really disappointed.

This place will allways get 5 starts ! The food is so delicious the staff is very nice and we allways having such a good family time here :) I highly recommended this place.

I always eat at Primavera restaurant, the food is real good they also have Gluten free food if anyone care about it, The service is real good and they know how to make their clients happy, for me this place is 5 star for few reasons. Food is good then the service is ok, they do have some people that work there that don’t really have excellent service but still good and i still go there often. I like to eat the red sauce they serve with the bread very good one, one of a kind!

I personally like this place. Sure the service can use some work but the dip with the bread is mind blowing. I ordered the salmon with pasta and I thought it was delicious. I would definitely come here again because it’s so close and I think it’s yummy. Not a bad spot.

This place is a joke. There are plenty of other great Italian restaurants in the area, as well as a great Japanese restaurant across the street. The service here, based on other reviews and my experience, is hit or miss. And I suspect even the 4 – 5 star people can recall some sort of ‘lack of service’. I’m not saying you can’t get a perfectly nice meal here, I’m just saying it sucks to have to roll the dice for the service you’re already paying for.

Worst meal I’ve had in decades. Ordered steamed clams and got mussels in some red garlic garlic and more garlic sauce with lots of small pieces of broken shells mixed in – no thanks!
I love garlic BUT i’d like to taste something else. I gave up trying to eat it for fear I’d break a tooth. My husbands plate was equally bad and plated awful – just blaaa. Service not the best. We won’t be back.

Were seated quickly and given plenty of water and some great hot bread with a tomato paste and oil mix that reminded us of bruschetta (but less chunky).
It took awhile to get our food, but it was great! I had the pesto Gorgonzola. Had plenty of pesto goodness, tons of chicken and soft noodles. I filled up quick and couldn’t finish (which is rare for me). The rest enjoyed their food as well.
Since the main course is so filling, all three of us ate for less than $ 60 and with a wonderful waitstaff. Couldn’t ask for much more than a bit quicker service.
