Ok, here it comes … Mid-​life crisis, Divorce and GRAY HAIR! All at once all these 3 come together as a bomb in my life! I decided to deal with the gray hair first since it is the easiest of the 3. I was referred to Denice by a friend of a friend and I always take everything friends of friends say with a grain of salt. Made the appointment with Denice who on the phone already sounded as she was smiling! 2 days later I am there. Wow, what a crop of hair Denice has … if her hair looks that good I am confident. A little chit chat to find out about my needs and wants — about 1 hour later I walked out of there feeling like a completely new person: perfect hair cut, perfect color and 1 hour of great conversations and laughter. And if anyone can keep you entertained it is Denice but she’s also a great listener, although her stories are great. She has some amazing hair products she recommends and sells which are great, too!

Denice is awesome! She does a better job on my hair color than any one I have ever been to (and I’ve been to a lot of people). She is also very enjoyable to talk to, so I look forward to seeing her. I highly recommend her!

Denice is AMAZING and is a true color and styling genius!
I’ve been having Denice color my blonde roots (ahem) since 2009 and wouldn’t imagine going anywhere else. Want to know why? The one time I did, on a whim and a recommendation from a friend to try a beauty school, I came crawling back to Denice! How hard is it to color grays with brown? Without going into the details of my beauty school fiasco, just know that I left there crying, with ruined, dry, extremely damaged multicolored hair. Well, have no fear, Denice was up for the challenge and I left her chair smiling and swishing my beautiful hair from side to side for all to see!
But Denice isn’t a one trick pony, she can cut too! Do you have thick, wavy or curly hair? Denice is your gal! My hair is so thick and curly my nickname should be Chewbacca or Chia Pet! But I don’t worry because Denice knows how to tame the beast! She is the master at thinning and layering my hair to bring out it’s best!
Unsure of what style or color to do? No worries! Denice knows what styles will look perfect with your skin color and face shape. Even if you beg for something, if it’s not going to look good, she will set you straight (gotta love her honesty) and you’ll always leave looking fabulous!
Denice works miracles on others too! Just the other day, a young gal was leaving as I came in for my appointment. Her strawberry blonde hair was GORGEOUS! Come to find out, it was a hot mess when she arrived. For some reason she thought it would be a good idea to use kitchen bleach on her hair… twice! I’m surprised she had any hair left. But luckily for her, she found Denice. And if it wasn’t for the before and after pictures you’d never know about her «little experiment».
Short, long, curly, straight, colored, highlights… with Denice’s skills, I’ve had them all!

Gotta Love Denice! She has been my hairdresser since 1997, we met at a wedding, she did all of our hair for the wedding. The rest is history. She was the first one to shorten it and color it. She is amazing! She is very professional, knows what she is talking about when it comes to color and always offers her best advice when it come to making you look great!

Denice is very talented. She is an amazing colorist and gives good hair advice. I get so many compliments on the color of my hair… didn’t get those before I started seeing Denice. I have been seeing her for over 2 years and couldn’t be happier!

Denice is one-​of-​a-​kind. My first visit with her involved given myself a hair makeover! I had LONG hair and wanted something more current looking and manageable. I walked out (having had almost a foot and a half of hair cut off) with a great new look that Denice has helped me maintain.
Denice is also a great listener and «Life Coach» :) I come in, I sit down, we chat, she cuts… and life is good :)

Denice is an independent hairstylist at Russell Allen, so I found her before her move there last year. I found her because I noticed a friend’s hair that was always great, so I asked who she used for a stylist. Denice has extensive training in hair coloring, so she was able to help me pick out colors that work with my fair skin tone and I have always been happy with her suggestions and what I decide on. I have gone from blonde to red to dark brown, to lighter blondes and I have been able to use semi-​permanent colors and ones that are best for my hair, yet allow me change I never knew I could have before meeting her.
I think her styling/​cutting abilities are good as well, but I travel over an hour to see her now since I have moved for the perfect highlights or change in color and her cuts are just icing on the cake. I highly recommend her to anyone wanting to color their hair. She is tough to get an appointment with since her schedule is often full, but well worth the wait as anyone who has searched for a good colorist can know far too well.
