negatives: Went on a WC pub crawl with some friends. In regards to Crogans things have not changed since the late 90’s. It still takes forever to get a drink at this bar. Unless you are friends or the bar tenders know you, forget about it. Friday night they only had one female bartender who was working her butt off, but she needed help. Carpet is the same one since the late 90’s all smell and gross. Positives: The positive is they have TONS of security staff and they didn’t let people in with expired DL’s which was cool. Keep the riff raff away. Nice outdoor deck and some booths. Needs a bigger bar with additional bartenders. I waited around for about ten minutes, then left and got a beer 10 seconds after arriving at Mr lucky’s; despite the fact more people were at Mr lucky’s.

Racist security guards! My boyfriend and friends weren’t allowed in because of what they were wearing(a polo and jeans) Beyond ridiculous. Anyways, if you you get passed the racist security guards you end up paying $ 5 to get in. Once you’re in you have the choice to dance with some of the Bay Areas finest ratchets, stand in the extremely LONG hour long line to order drinks from the rude Filipino bartender and/or stand outside and smoke a cigarette and catch your breath next to the wasted white boy throwing up over the porch balcony. No thanks!

First off this place is lame to start with, my two girls and I decided to try it out because for whatever strange reason there was a long line. We Get to the front of the line and the«bouncer» didn’t let my friend in because onE of my girls had a grill on. Seriously? It’s a simple fix, she could put the grill away but this guy who probably gets paid paid in peanuts took his«job» way to serious and didn’t let 3 girls in. The line consisted of nothing but guys and they didn’t let us in because of a gold grill. It’s the bay, Mac dre would turn in his grave. Boo this place !

it is what it is. WC is always full of D-bags. But thats what I get going out in WC. Everyone seems to smash this place however they ALL still go. I would rather stay at Crogans then do to Redux where everyone is on one or Luckys where its a sardine can and full of dudes. There is a blond bartender who is pretty cool. she has been there a long time. Not there all the time though but she is great. hella quick and always laughing. Drinks are the same price as everywhere else and they play good music. they sell food at night to which is cool when you need to soak up the beer. if u play by the rules when u wont get in trouble in WC.

This place kicked me out because of my grill and they were my dentures, yet they let people in here with hats and sneakers. They have 2 stars with 284 reviews for a reason. Never coming here again.

The bouncer at roughly 10:45 on November 24th is terrible. He did not let perfectly sober person in because he thought I was drunk. I have never experienced this in my life. 2 star average speaks for itself. 4 of us did not go in because of said bouncer. Management should take the hint and get rid of worthless doorman who is bad for business. I will never come back.

After a birthday dinner at Va da Vi in downtown Walnut Creek with 7 girls celebrating 3 birthdays, my friends from out of town and I walked to Tiki Tom’s for a drink, and then to Crogan’s for some dancing. We made it there just minutes before 10 p.m. so we luckily avoided the cover charge — because I really wouldn’t have paid to go in. We had to be searched after we were IDed(just our bags) and I couldn’t bring in my water bottle, even if I emptied it(but I did get it back from the bouncer’s table at the end of the night). What sort of crowd have they been letting in here?! We had a lot of fun dancing and the DJ played some great music. Hits from«then» and«now» with music videos on the TV screens around the dance floor — it was fun! The bartender was very matter-of-fact and he didn’t offer a lot of smiles with our drinks. Actually, none of the staff were very welcoming for the short time we were there — but maybe it’s just a weekend thing since bars are so busy and the people working are stuck at work. We ended up leaving a little before midnight after having a lot of fun by ourselves. It was nice to get out and dance and hang out with the girls, but honestly I’d rather go to Masse’s next time and get service with a smile!

This is only getting three stars for the KJ. The bartender and Bouncer are super unfriendly, the drinks are expensive, and they consistently close and hour and a half early. What is the point of going? We got there at 10:30 and was kicked out at midnight. This place used to be bumping on karaōke nights. This is just sad. The DJ there is so nice and has a fantastic selection of songs. He is a good reason to show up, but have a contingency plan if you are under 65 and don’t have a curfew.

The bouncers were totally unreasonable. My friend was completely sober and not allowed entry by Chris the bouncer. This place is a joke.

This place is absolutely insane!!! I came on a Saturday night with multiple friends in the industry. My friend was DENIED by the bouncer. We requested to see the manager who came out and was a pretty nice guy but still wouldn’t budge. He even acknowledged that my buddy was plenty sober to enter. They refused to return the covers of the individuals who had already paid. Do not waste your time!!!

The dj tonight seems like a rookie, can’t really blend his songs and playing songs that sound the same. Also would play anything else but edm and pretty much single handedly cleared the dance floor. Good job bro

I have to write this now so I don’t forget!!! We came to watch the Warriors first game of the NBA finals, and it was so worth it. When we first showed up, there was no where to sit. We ended up with folding chairs against a wall, and I had ordered food, holding a number on my bag waiting ever so patiently to dine on my legs! Lol, really!!! After sitting for maybe 15 mins., the manager Eddie noticed us, and quickly offered us an alternative! He ever so quickly produced a high top table with two stools, as long as we were ok locating to the other side of the room, which was no problem! This experience went from so-so, to amazing!!! Not only did we not have to dine from our legs, we had a perfect view to a projector screen!!!

On a Saturday night I came about 11:20ish. There’s a cover charge of $ 5. The crowd seemed to be in their early 20s. Not necessary to dress up for a club. I bought a AMF for $ 12 I can’t believe all these negative reviews I had a blast. For all these«ghetto people» or «ratchet» comments… 1) they play mostly hip hop, a little Spanish music every once in a while. 2) most of the people there are ethnic(mostly Latinos and black) Unlike most bars they actually have a huge dance floor. It was crowded but spacious enough to not constantly get bumped into or foot stepped on. Another thing I loved was this bar didn’t have people smoking inside, there’s a outside section. I will say the bathrooms arent the best. Typical public bathroom If you look for a fight, you’ll get one. There was none when I went but Even so who cares? The men my friends and I encountered were sweethearts Idk if security/the bouncers are rude, but even so I didn’t come for them lol

I think it’s rely crazy that people don’t like it here because I kinda love it. I go out just to dance. A few drinks is nice too but I go to dance. They play the music I want to hear. Get a few shots in & I’m set for a good time. Yeah it’s crowded on the dance floor but honestly I don’t see why that’d be reason to complain. I always find a little space for me to do my thing & have a good time. Fridays/Saturdays kinda hit or miss which one is better but either day there’s a good amount of people & the liquor is steady flowin so what else do you want lol

This is where all the ratchets come out to play. What kind of bar receives 200 police calls in a 15 month period, 30 of those resulting in criminal related charges… R-A-T-C-H-E-T

Walnut Creek is going down hill fast. Was raised in the area and came back to visit friends and family, we decided to hit Crogan’s up. Well, they need a metal detector outside this place before going in. It’s HORRIBLE and gone to trash. Ghetto people, terrible drinks and you will find many people repping their«hood» and sports team out on the deck/patio area. Who even fathoms going here? The bathrooms are disgusting and a fight broke out the night we were there. Cops called and people being told to leave. The«security» thinks they are the law(wannabe cops that couldn’t make the cut) I hate to be so blunt but it’s true. This place SUCKS with a capital«S»

OK — I’m not in my 20, 30s, or 40, s. I don’t go here at night when music is playing – but I have gone during happy hour. It’s not what I would call a dive bar(believe me) but it is very raucous and parking can be a bear. Hint: Park at the nearby garage — first hour free than I think a set fee of like 3 – 5 per hour after — –which beats running to those street meters every half hour with quarters. Good place to watch a game and have an ice cold beer. What happens late at night I have no idea because I am not out then – but during a Sunday afternoon, looking for a place to catch the game – bravo!!!
