I ordered my food to go but I liked this place. It was very clean & inviting. The bathroom and toilet was even clean. The lady at the front that took my order was pleasant and friendly. The food is delicious! They packed the food so good and it was organized. I liked that the containers the food came in had different compartments. The containers are very sturdy and reusable so I’m def keeping mine! Lol I saw these same containers on Amazon that I wanted. SCORE!!! I am slightly surprised that this a good restaurant. I thought this was going to be one of those wack Asian buffets that I hate! I walked in to see what they really were after dropping off my dry cleaning in the area.

All I can say is 1) Love the Godzilla roll and the Tempura salmon roll(2) Nice size glasses of wine and(3) try Pinot Grigio with the rolls! We have been twice and really enjoyed the food and drinks! Nice people who run the place and a more extensive than expected selection at the bar! Great bar prices!

Good sit down or carryout restaurant. Restaurant looks clean and modern with a cool bar area. Excellent place for lunch specials, bento boxes, and sushi rolls. My personal favorite is the shrimp bento box, which comes with shrimp mixed vegetables, miso or onion soup, salad, California roll, and white or fried rice. It’s a solid meal for a relatively low price. All ingredients appeared to be fresh and very tasty. My only gripe is the lack of additional seafood/fish options. Snapper is only fish on the menu. I’d like to see additional options like flounder, bass, swordfish, etc…

Some times hit or miss on the service and they sometimes get super busy but really great sushi and lots of other good stuff to take along friends that perhaps aren’t the sushi fan that I am. Highly recommend!

This was an awesome dining experience, delicious food and quick service. I had the Maryland roll and my dinner date had hibachi combo with chicken and salmon. Both were flavorful and delicious. I will definitely return. I would like to say that the table wasabi was lacking in level of ‘kick’. But it did not deter from the overall meal. Tasty and will return again.

Ahhh, Kobe. Kobe, Kobe, Kobe. Pretty sure I’d eat here everyday if I could, lol. I make my boyfriend take me here almost every time I visit him in southern Maryland! The servers are nice albeit a bit slow at times. But their hibachi chicken paired with a phenomenal spicy Yum Yum sauce makes the wait entirely worth it!!!

I really love this place. Small, but clean. Great sushi; big fan of the Spicy Tuna Roll. The Steak Hibachi meal was really yummy. My go to is the side salad with the house ginger salad, onion soup, edamame, and the spicy tuna roll. The tempura soft shell crab is ok, but I’m not a huge fan of tempora. Their portions are good for the price. Drink specials all day, and drinks are strong. Definitely a place to check out on a date night or with friends. They do offer take out as well.

My bf and I found this place randomly on our way to a farm. He likes the special rolls very much but they are more expensive than the others. The lunch special is also good but the onion soup tastes weird.

I frequent the place often, I find it to be a hidden gem in Waldorf. I admit I have never had any food from the kitchen so I can’t verify any of the claims below about the hibachi. I will say the sushi is all the rave. Rolls come tight, fresh and very appealing. Bar specials are $ 5 and are pored a little heavy, but I don’t see that as a problem. Service is a little relaxed, but its why I go there. I’m not looking to rushed in and out but more so have a good convo with friends and maybe watch a game.

Recently just had my first visit here and I ordered hibachi instead of the sushi… this was a mistake. The sushi my friends ordered looked delicious; I don’t think I’ve seen sushi rolls that were rolled that tight and looked amazing. However, I have never in my life had bland hibachi; my food, including the fried rice was flavorless. We were also served cold miso soup(highly disappointed because it was so cold outside). I don’t think I will waste money like this again; I may eat sushi here(not anytime soon), but I’m not a fan of wasting my hard earned money so unlikely:/

This is a good place to get steak and shrimp portion sizes are on point and its hibachi with out the pomp and circumstance and the price tag of a sit down hibachi grill

I’ve had better sushi from grocery stores. However my friend said his hibachi was really good so I’ll give it a medium grade.

Innovative presentation and fresh flavor combinations available locally! The Godzilla roll intrigued us with its combination of flavors and colorful sauces! The #27, wrapped in cucumber ribbons, without rice or seaweed, was a fresh new medley of flavors to us, providing a nice contrast to the warm Godzilla roll. The Valentine roll was artfully arranged and bursting with tuna. One caveat: not too many tables, and they fill up fast!

Hmmmmm. Reading the other reviews, maybe I’m being harsh. Maybe I’m not coming in at the right time. Maybe I haven’t been in enough? The past few times I’ve been in, the service was poor. There is one person working the register and the floor — the place is busy enough that more than one person is needed. It took forever to order and then additional time just to get our order to the sushi counter to be made. The food? Ok I guess. Nothing to write home about. I’ve had better quality and better service. Bottom line… Kadori is 10 minutes up the road. Go there. You’ll be happy you did.

Kobe is our go to restaurant since Waldorf really has nothing else but chain restaurants and fried food. The sushi here is always good. It’s fresh and made well and it isn’t super expensive either. They can be very slow and backed up when it gets busy but the restaurant is quite small and the staff is basically whoever is in the kitchen, the sushi chef, and the couple who I believe are the owners and do the serving/bartending too so I don’t blame them. I normally get the sashimi deluxe and I love it. All their rolls are delicious. Their Kobe wings are spectacular. Everything else is pretty standard. Drinks are strong and on the cheap side too. Everything here is priced reasonably and they are also very quick if you do carry out.

The wife and I frequent Kobe’s quite often. They serve the best sushi at the most reasonable prices of any place I’ve come across. Great vibe and service all add to the pleasant experience. They sometimes run out of bananas for the tempura desert which is a shame because they are soo good… but this discrepancy does not warrant a deduction of a full star and we still frequent this spot on average twice a week.

Consistently delicious earns Kobe its 5th star. As beau put it «I find it hard to be disappointed here.» Bartender is also super sweet. Order the firehouse roll, you won’t be disappointed!

I love Japanese style hibachi. This particular Kobe location isn’t as nice/well-serviced as others I’ve visited, but it gets the job done. Personally, I prefer Fuji Mountain Steak House, I think Kobe is a but overrated.

Went here for a lunchtime celebration and wasn’t disappointed. This is lunch and a show! Our chefs were humorous and a joy to watch. I definitely recommend getting the fried rice instead of the white and go for the steak! I do agree with a couple others that the soup they serve leaves a bit to be desired on the palette, but that is just a very small item in my eyes. The price is a bit steep, I don’t think I would come back for dinner when the entrees jump in price, almost double, for lunch though this is great.

DUDE this is the spot in Waldorf! It’s hard for me to find worthwhile places to eat when I’m in the area but this place so my new go-to. First off, I am just sold on the $ 5DRINKSPECIALS! Long Islands, sake, mai tai, martinis, maragritas… i think there is a total of 10 drink options, basically all the classic cocktails. Not only are the drinks cheap, but they are SO good. They are strong and not too sweet. They’re made really well. Secondly, the sushi is great too. I am no sushi expert, but I loved everything I had. The Godzilla roll, sashimi platter, the shrimp tempura roll… I can’t remember what else I got. I cannot wait to back to try out the other unique rolls they have! This place is the jam and I want to go back already.
