I am so disappointed in this place. I bought a groupon offered when the restaurant opened and couldn’t wait to try it, especially since the groupon ad and the website make it look like a neato new Mediterranean restaurant in Wake Forest. Wrong… oh, so wrong. We arrived around 7pm which we thought would be prime time for dining and we were one of two tables– THEENTIRETIME! The server seemed nice enough, but sort of awkward like a kid who is playing restaurant in their mom’s kitchen, pretending that they know the right things to ask but not really. I ordered the chicken kabob and hubs ordered the beef. Our entrees came with rice and white pinto beans, and a choice of two sides. The menu had typos all over it which our server pointed out as I asked what the difference between the seasoned veges and the grilled veges are. No difference, just another typo. We also asked what the menu meant when it said that every entrée comes with an appetizer. She said that was also wrong and it comes with pita bread with tzatziki and hummus. ok… I’ll go with it. Another issue– no beer. huh? Our server told us that we could go next door to the bar neighboring their place, grab a beer and come back in. um, no thanks. So strange. Hubs was completely thrown off having to order a water with his dinner on a Friday night. The app was served on what looked like one of the plates you used in school cafeterias growing up– see photo. Our server kept coming back and asking if we were done, even when we weren’t– at least three times. We finally just told her to take it. She also asked about 5 – 6 times if we wanted refills and then took the glass to go fill them.(One of my biggest pet peeves, please fill my glass at the table with a pitcher so I can see what you are doing with it, call me paranoid) When the meal finally came, it looked like a smörgåsbord of stuff. The chicken and meat on our kabobs were huge which made me want to cut into it to be sure I was eating cooked chicken. Guess what… yep, it was raw in spots and simply undercooked in others. I couldn’t eat another bite. Hubs ate part of his food and we quickly asked for our check. I would have sent the chicken back but I saw the ONE other table send some food back and I noticed the server go to the other server and was fussing about it. I’d rather just not eat than piss off the people who are touching my food. Our check came out, we paid with our Groupon, thankfully the meal was a deal or I would have been super upset that I paid full price for this experience. Oh Kalamata Grill, I had high hopes for you. I have a feeling you won’t be making it in Wake Forest for very long.

Disappointing First their Groupon had no mention of Dine in Only. Very misleading. The Hummus and Chicken Parm were not good. Greek Salad had no Greek olives Cole Slaw with no onions had onions. The smallest sides I have ever seen
